Im attending a HBCU for my BSW I have to say I love it I like my professors and because I’m doing so well in the program my professors have given me some task outside the normal class assignments. For example, we had an advocacy day event, and my professor asked me to contact our government officials to set up a meeting with them and of course I was able to reach out to several of our government officials. We were only able to see one of them in Raleigh but I was glad that I got a response from everyone I reached out to, and my professor was very happy with the results so I was able to help them out. I’m in my last year of the program I graduate in December I plan to get my doctorate in social work in because I am disabled. I want to work with people who are disabled and I want to be able to counsel them especially people who are newly diagnosed with certain disorders are conditions to let them know that even though you are disabled, if you want to do something that you’re Disability shit not stop you from doing what you want to do do.
I'm really happy I found you page! I also a military spouse and trying to get into a social program! Loving your videos. Going into school in my 30s and married with kids
Yes to all of this! I’m finishing my first year at University of Texas at Arlington and I’ve been so pleasantly surprised by the program’s diversity and cultural competence
These are all great tips. Thanks for not making a 15 minute video about nothing! I am stuck in a terrible MSW program currently and wish I had done more research before applying. These things really do matter.
Thank you so much for taking the time to help others embarking on this journey. I’m 45 years old and looking into MSW online programs. I’m researching schools and came across this video. I’ll be reaching out for support 🙏
If a person need to move in an emergency and is faced with obstacles, what would you recommend for that person who is having trouble finding people to help them move?
This video was extremely helpful. I just finished my undergrad in psychology and am planning on beginning my msw this fall, but I've been having a heck of a time trying to find the right online program. This helped me make that decision, thank you!
Salisbury University has a great BSW program that is fully online. I have a video that highlights programs check it out on RUclips I can not share the link. Hope it helps
@@ItsResiayallhi 😊 can you recommend a reputable online MSW? That’s what brought me to your video. Thank you for an enlightening video! *taking notes***
@@cynthiasparkschannel7797 there are a lot of amazing online programs, Fordham University, the University of Denver, Lousiana Statue Univeristy, the University of Kentucky, Rutgers, and the University of Georgia. For an MSW They are all pretty streamlined The biggest advice is to stay away from degree mill universities and any program that DOES NOT help with internship search. Also look into your local state school
Hi! I appreciate your videos. I’ve just been accepted into a MSW program in the DMV area. One of my concerns is the cost of grad school. Are there any scholarships/grants you’d recommend?
I would say look at your school's financial aid office; they often offer various scholarships, and although they are highly competitive, you may get it. Also, I recommend your local NASW chapter; they may have scholarships. And as far as grants, I don't know any off hand, but I did get a list when I asked my admission advisor.
The 1st 30 min of the video its just waste of time u could drink ur water and tide up before to start the video then come to Clydach the people to something.😮

I am rooting for you as you prepare for graduation and your future endeavors. I think a PH.d/DSW is so worth it.
