Ok, after watching it over and over. Imma write them all in no specific order by heart. I'm also translating it to Brazilian Portuguese. If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me.
1 First and foremost (Primeiramente, antes de tudo)
2 Off and on/On and off (de maneira intermitente e sem regularidade)
3 Out and about (estar "por aí", dar "uma volta", sair para perto sem informar localização precisa)
4 Ins and outs (o caminho das pedras)
5 Fair and square (conseguir honestamente sem roubar/trapacear)
6 Null and void (sem valor)
7 All or nothing (tudo ou nada, 8 ou 80)
8 Step by step (passo a passo, aos poucos, progressivamente)
9 (by) leaps and bounds (progredir/desenvolver/avançar rápido, em pouco tempo)
10 (to leave) High and dry (deixar na mão)
11 Sink or swim (Vencer ou perder por conta própria, sem a ajuda de ninguém)
12 Down and out (desanimado, quebrado, sem emprego, sem grana, sem esperança)
Obrigado mais uma vez, Wes! Você é o cara!
Thanks again, Wes! You're the man!

could you please teach us how to improve our writing and how to write a paragraph .
High and dry
Null and void
Thanks for commenting & checking out the lesson. 👍
Wes, would you be so kind as to teach us how to pronounce clusters or blenders? I've heard you pronounce "month" a bit differently. I mean, the final "th" is changed to only "t". Did I hear you correctly? If not, my apologies. Clarify that to me please, if possible. I really appreciate your accent and pronunciation. You've done a great job. Thanks so much.
Awesome video, Wes! Quick question. Which one is the correct form: more importantly OR most importantly? I can't seem to find any explanation on this online and your input would be greatly appreciated. Stay well and stay safe. All the best! :-)
Glad you enjoyed the lesson Rodrigo. Both are correct. If saying MOST it refers to the most important item. If saying MORE, you're comparing it to the thing you said before. 👍
@@InteractiveEng Thanks, Wes, so much for clearing that up for me! It makes sense and I greatly appreciate your time and kind attention to my previous question. I hope you and your family have a fantastic weekend! Kind regards from a beautifully sunny and clear sky São Paulo, Brazil! 🇧🇷
to leave someone high and dry.( can we say to leave someone in the lurch )
That's an idiom with a similar meaning. 👍
Down and out
Cool, Wess, and handy (is it right saying this way?). Alessandro 🇧🇷
That works. Thanks for commenting & checking out today's lesson. 👍
Hi Wes ! I live in Ghana . I'm not a native speaker but I wanna know if I can use your accent in teaching the kids here .
Sure. I think it's possible to each using a specific accent. 👍
I have a question. Binomial means two words, and pair means exactly the same: two things, two words. It's redundant, isn't it?
My English is gonna be improved by leaps and bounds!
I think learning binomials help us to improve English vocabulary leaps and bounds!
Glad you feel that way. Thanks for commenting. 😃
The phrase sink or swim to me has an unfortunate experience attached to it. I used to work in Emergency Mecdicine and these parents, who took that phrase literally (and threw their daughter into the water, "to force her to get used to it" even though that was the first time she'd ever been in the water) needed paramedics because she panicked after being tossed unceremoniously into lots of water and she sucked big gulps of pool water (with chlorine in it) into her lungs.
There are certain phrases I've never beeb able to use again after they've become attached to such intense memories but for the record I don't think they MEAN to throw someone into a pool ofr water and then shout "Sink or swim!" to a person who's never been IN that much water. --Vicki
Oh my gosh. That terrible. I understand what you mean by having a personal experience with certain words or phases.
Is it correct to use these binomial pairs on writing ?
Yes, you can use them in writing. But they are a bit informal. 👍
Hahaha, is he your boyfriend?
The girl: we're on and off. Many thanks😂
Glad you enjoyed the lesson. 👍
@@InteractiveEng Yup i enjoyed the lesson😊
