An airline as luxurious as Emirates shouldn't have gone with 2-3-2 in business imho. 1-2-1 herringbone is the norm in this day and age don't you think. Paying the business class premium, I would atleast expect direct aisle access for all the seats. P.S: Never flown anything except economy lol
Even though you haven’t flow business you expect better from Emirates. Now imagine business travelers, they won’t like this at all.

2-3-2 is more of a Premium Economy configuration anyways. 2-2-2 makes a bit more sense similar to ANA’s business class
Absolutely correct. It’s horrendous to think in this day there would be a middle 3 seat business class. Greed.
@@MrStark-up6fi this Emirates flight now has 2-2-2. Im booking it from Barcelona to Mexico now and it shows 2-2-2 when choosing your seat, so it seems they have this new configuration where the middle seats are both next to the isle, which is better for solo travelers

Too funny David. I'm picking my meal and drink for my upcoming Emirates flight in BC from this menu. Lol. Just said to hubby 3 BC flights and lounges from Perth to Europe it will be an eating marathon lol Can't wait.

The 2-3-2 configuration is nuts. Nothing worse than having to clamber over other passengers legs whilst they rest which reminds me of British Airways old business class product, of which they have recently replaced with direct access for all seats!
According to you. Their clients are usually large Asian or Arab families. Our family of 6 loves this configuration and Emirates caters to this. We are not European and this is not a European or US Airline. Choose something not “nuts” like Delta.
Business seats need not have a middle seat et al.there is nothing European or arab to clanger about.
Stagnant seating would be a lot better for that, guess it not cost effective or whatever

@@zakelwe I went over to Dubai for 10 days by myself. As an American woman, I felt safe everywhere I went. I went in January during the International Shopping Festival and got deals of a lifetime. There’s so much to see and do! I plan on returning in the next few years and can’t wait!

I always love your flight videos. Would you ever consider doing a video featuring an overnight ferry? There are some ships around the world that appear to have very nice accommodations (Japan comes to mind), and I think you could offer a unique perspective on them.

Well, Dr. LTE, the 2-3-2 configuration seems very unpopular with the commenters but this is very useful knowledge for those of us who hope to fly business class (as opposed to economy) on our next long-haul flight. Being able to see your neighbor's screen also was not a popular feature. However, your seat looked very comfortable, the amenities were nice and your lunch looked delicious. I do worry about your sugar intake, though--lol. Looking forward to the return flight and everything in between :)

I flew on Cathay Pacific's 777777-300er from Vancouver BC to New York🙂. The sound of those engines is music to my ears. They have the deepest base tune associated with them over all the other jet engines in use. Very very nice. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!!

Business Class is so perfect, you're not super isolated, i don't specifically like first class, because you're most likely alone there, well unless you're a businessman Billionaire and you need some alone time first class is the way to go, but for me nah, im a happy guy with a bit of extra money looking to enjoy his life at the fullest, business class is really comfy, plus you're not alone, business class people are really humble (according to my personal flight experience) so you're never alone, although emirates is good in economy as well, it doesn't change their way of interaction, i like how emirates doesn't judge, doesn't matter if you're a economy traveler or first class traveler, equal rights & equal respect which is one of the many reasons why i absolutely admire and adore Emirates cabin crew, always humble.
Amazing video as always! I actually love the fact how Emirates and Etihad use chauffeur service, it really adds one of the necessary welcome details to passengers and other great airlines such as Qatar and BA should use them as well. Glad to see another one of your videos. Safe travels ;D
The later rather provide u with what u really paid for, the real xp is going to be in the lounge and in the air. They provide with 1-2-1 config unlike the one Emirates uses 2-3-2.
Emirates don’t use them all the time. There are fare types that are excluded. He doesn’t conveniently say that here.

A much better product than the previous one particularly with the fully flat bed. Still not a fan of that middle seat though. Hoping they bring back the A380 AKL/DXB. Ironic as well you walk from one the best First Class seating experiences through to third class business class.

Emirates now behind the curve now like BA have been for so many years, apart from their new A350.
I was shocked at the 2/3/2. And TLTG talking it up sort of started making it look like a paid commercial. Yea the interior was nice but there’s better options now.
Yup, and that strategy is why I fly anything but EK out of DXB. I recently took a one-stopper on LH rather that pay their prices for a non-stop on the same route.
@min yoongi's house cleaner The problem is that they have very long range point to point planes to contend with in the near future which can handle less passengers in the current environment. I am sure they will get government funding though and cheap fuel to tide them over.
That is what is actually keeping all those 380s still in the air.....

wow, it really shows how incredibly huge the B777-300ER is!
I've always admired this beautiful machine, the fact it can fit over 550 (if they're all in 3-5-3 layout) passengers is already crazy on it's own, while the A380-300 is able to fit a mear 800+ passengers despite being a double-deck passenger aircraft.
3-5-3? Wow, most wide-body aircraft can only accommodate 3-4-3. Very fascinating
3-4-3 economy layout on a 777-300ER is cramped enough, 3-5-3 is insane.

The hard product looks overall very premium for Business Class but the 2-3-2 configuration is more like Premium Economy and the amenity kit is like what you get in Economy. I think for Business Class, Qatar is still the best with the Qsuite but for First Class, Emirates is a clear winner (some airlines like Qatar do not have First Class seats).
Edit: QR does have first class seats on A380s
Yea no direct aisle access in business class in 2022 just isn't OK
This is a let down by Emirates. As plush it may look now in a few years it will be dated with stale, sitting next to someone in business if you’re not in the middle is a no no. Qatar is still first in business and I look forward to booking with them.

Those seats make the BA old Club World look attractive!
Qatar does have First Class on certain routes such as LHR. I think their general mindset however is why have first when your business is so good. I believe they coined it “First in Business”
Last time I flew EK business class the service was sloppy and the one guys attitude as simply appalling when i asked for an amenity kit “well you weren’t at your seat when i handed them out Sir”
With QR it’s already in my seat when I get it it, because they actually know their customer base BEFORE seeing you. There’s a reason they are seen as better and why I’m a Gold FF with QR and not EK. Do agree though that a chauffeur car from QR would be the icing on the cake.
Although I like Emirates, I dont really like the configuration on the 777's on business. I prefer seats where you don't have to clamber over the person next to isle to go to the lavatory.

Love the way the cabin crew are scrambling to close/move/position themselves because they were not ready for customers! LOL They seem REALLY nice though!

Great video, but the 2-3-2 configuration means that passengers may be climbing over one another in order to access the isle. This seems like a very outdated layout especially for an airline that prides itself on luxury.
Not to mention having the neighbor's tv screen constantly competing for your eyes' attention while you try to watch your own.

You would be surprise the amount of couples with one kid that upgrade their flights to bussiness, and this configuration is perfect for them… 🤷🏻♀️
It also means a family of 6 like ours can rest assured the kids are together and are safe. These comments from Europeans and/or North Americans assuming everyone travels as they do and Emirates can’t possibly cater to another market are ignorant and frankly arrogant. Emirates travels to Asia and Africa more than any other regions and families from those regions prefer the configuration. Unless there is something you know that Emirates does not?

Wow. I can’t believe that Andy assumes that every person to take a plane is a White, Australian male. Asians, Africans and Arabs prefer the Emirates cabin layout. We are a family of 6 and the 2 rows we use are preferable for us. For _many_ others I know, as well. Stick with Qantas.

Having flown Qatar, which I love, for me I like the lounge style seats rather than the pods , so would like to give this a try . It seems a lot more private as I find it difficult to sleep on planes as it is. 😀🇦🇺
Thank you for sharing your trip here on their 777 aircraft. It was nice seeing the slide panel there giving you a nice separate space. I assume that panel comes out more to give you more separation. And it is always nice looking outside at the powerful engines working!! I do miss sometimes seeing my former airline's 777sengine work as I used to fly the long hauls to Europe. That is always an awesome sight seeing the engine spin. Looks like you had a beautiful meal service. I was hoping that you dd not have to share your Business Class area with another person seating next to you!! Finally, the First-Class tour looked very nice. Thanks again for sharing.

I just took the Emirates 777-300 from Nairobi to Dubai.
This configuration isn’t great, to add to this you do not have lots of storage space. Add to that the bed doesn’t lie flat. Amenity kit was socks and sleep mask.
Adding to this, they advertise that they give special treatment to kids, and we got nothing except the kids dinner.
Before you make your reservation with Emirates, make sure you’ll be on the A380.

I recently flew on the EMIRATES 777-300 Business Class from Dubai to Maldives.
After flying on the A380-800 Business class, I was extremely disappointed by the 777's old business class. It had plenty of foot/leg room, but no foot rest (like this one). I felt cramped at the shoulders (I am very tall at 6'6").
This definitely looks better and I'm glad the MODE CONTROLLER has been moved from its previous position.
A380 is far superior. No comparison. I’d never fly in this second rate business class

Improved but 2/3/2 seating on the 777 is still a massive drawback compared to biz on any other premium airline. Very surprised Emirates does not change.
Korean Air still uses it it's the Prestige Class sleeper seat version flat bed B777-3B5/ER and Prestige Class plus seats B777-2B5/ER. Also, their competitor on ICN-MNL/CEB PR🇵🇭 has it on B777-3F6/ER and leased B777-36N/ER Mabuhay Class seats. Keep in mind Former PR Flight attendant now working for EK will pick the EK version over their previous employer PR🇵🇭

Hi X. I have to disagree with you on the ICE system. Flew the same Emirates to Dubai flight last month and 2 weeks later Etihad to the Maldives. I think Etihad is much better with regards to the privacy in your seat. First of all a 2-3-2 config is not that pleasant for the middle seats, but a lot worse is the fact that you're looking at 2 screens at the same time, or even 3 in the middle seats. Impossible not to look, very distracting. Etihad is much better (Boeing 787). The 1-2-1 config is a lot more relaxing and when you bring the divider up between the seats you're in your own 'cocoon' and have no visibility of the screen next to you. Finally, I have been struggling with the handset of the ICE system...when you switch your screen off and want to clip that handset back into its holder, you will most of the time touch the screen and the big screen comes to live again. I have become an Etihad fan ;-) BTW; love your channel!
I echo your sentiments. In the modern age, the 2-3-2 config for business or first class shouldn't even exist. So many airlines with lower profit margins and budgets have been able to move to slanted 1-2-1 configs on 777's.
Totally agree. Tbh I was shocked Emirates had 2 + 3+2 and it somehow devalues TLTG talking this up as ‘luxury’ when it’s so retrograde. Yea the cabin in nice but for the money there are much better options - it’s coming across a bit like a Sam Chui advert at this point.

The new Minibar is interesting. On the A380, I had a bottle of Perrier, 2 small canned sodas and a water. I drank everything!!!

From a fellow citizen: extremely well filmed and certainly interesting. Very very good job! Hats off! Emirates BC very luxurious as usual. BUT, a refurbished 2-3-2 BC configuration in 2022 must be a JOKE. Today's standard is a 1-2-1 configuration. Even Air France (FINALLY) quit this disastrous config on 777’s. In Dec. 2011 (!!!), in a 777 Qatar BC (2-2-2 then, still hugely roomy), I could quit my window seat passing IN FRONT OF my wife lying asleep full flat, without touching the seats in front of us. And your Emirates’ menu does not impress me at all. Too Arab-typed, not fine/classy enough, wine list limited and NOT up to today’s nice BC’s standards. And as a final touch, in 2011, we had VINTAGE champagne at discretion, not the ordinary stuff (even if it is a top-notch brand, clearly). So 10/10 for you, 10/10 for the luxurious cabinet and so, so for the rest (privacy? room? mattress? Pajamas? etc, all present on Qatar in 2011). Thanks a lot 😉

Great video as always - congratulations once again - Emirates try to make things better in business class but once again !! 3 seats in a business class centre and 2 on the window is too late to the party - I have even deplaned an aircraft after having been moved to the centre seat - well- almost after realising I had checked in baggage I was moved to First class - it will always be a NO from me , too many other carriers to choose from with a better j class product

Awesome video! I honestly don’t see how Emirates wouldn’t be the best in the world. From check in to the seats to the friendly flight attendants, they just go the extra mile in everything that they do.
The service IS good on Emirates but no comparison to the A380 for privacy and storage
The seat looks amazing but 2-3-2 for business class doesn’t make sense unless your travelling in a group (friends or family). Their 10 -200LR’s are slightly better for this in a 2-2-2 but it’s still not ideal

Yea I don’t know why they didn’t change it. A380 has 1-2-1 for business class though.
@@aryaanpetiwalla2655 I assume they just wanted to attract more people to fly the A380 business class instead. The seats used on A380 business should now be replaced with these more comfortable looking ones

But, the distinction between business and first class got the B777 is crazy. Honestly, first class is probably better value because it’s a whole room basically. They’ve even got walls that reach the ceiling.
