Yay! Finally, I found a thrift-flipping DIY RUclipsr that doesn’t just slap white paint on everything and make it farmhouse and French cottage! 😅Thank you, Fia! I really like your decoration style.
Yes, Ive been hunting for the same as well. I enjoy some of what I can learn of techniques even if I dont like the style. But its starting to hurt seeing so much "lets paint it white and slightly distress it!" paints jobs.
Ugh don't forget the SIGNS that say WELCOME over and over or OUR HOUSE IS FILLED WITH LOVE or their videos labeled FARMHOUSE HIGH END... no NOT high end... just a little cheapy And DIY. I feel bad... I know they're having fun and making pretty things but they're nothing like these pieces Fia makes.. she's truly a talented and skilled artist
First I must tell you I am an old woman (80) and have been a lifetime crafter. . I ‘ ve seen so many in my life. You are doing an amazing job😇 I am so happy to have found you. Your vision is 20/20 in design.
I love the tray. Uhpolstry is done by doing all four sides first then corners. I plan on doing this for my daughter for Christmas, thanks for the great idea.
I am fascinated watching you FIA! On the headboard how meticulous you are on trimming lining up and numbering the tree branches for the headboard! Incredible! Can you tell bt my comments I really see something more times I watchbypur video?
We have a big canvas in our home. I like the print. When I want to change it I cover it in fabric. I just pull whatever fabric I like tight and put a few staples in the back.
DIY two you needed to add a wax catcher to save anything placed beneath it for wax damage could've used old saucer or a piece of wood ... You fyi your DYI'S are great 👍🎯
That is the BEST self made faux olive tree. That took a lot of work I know but completely worth it in my opinion. Not just the money saved but because it truly looks real!
Lilly with her butterfly enjoying her puppy life! Monarchs are so beautiful I haven’t seen as many this summer as in the past our neighbor did grow his beautiful zinnias this year they usually attract bubble bees & butterflies. Next summer he will have wild flowers so we should see what they will bring most likely the bees from the neighbor who has bee hives behind us! Thank you for your video they always make my day!! Hope your well. Joanna & Venus
I just found your channel, and we have the same taste to the point that we've made the same diys. Now I've fallen into a hole of your videos! This is the first video you spoke at the beginning, and I just wanted to say that you are a beautiful young lady!
*ADVICE* for MidCentury Modern Bench Before adding any Stain or Paint and when you said “Obviously it’s not perfect” you would have seen an incredible difference with just an easy fix by putting a PRIMER first! The primer penetrate the pores in the wood, allowing any stain or paint you add 😮😮on, to look even and leaves you w. a profesional finish! Regardless… it looks incredible! Nice job! I bet your husband was in awe 🤣🤍
Those "serrated scissors" are called Pinking Shears, and they are a MUST for anyone wanting to do serious sewing. I use mine to keep things from fraying when my Serger isn't working, and to trim curved seams so they'll lay nice. You do beautiful work--glad I found your channel!
I accidently found your site while scrolling on my RUclips channel on TV. I am impressed that a a younger woman would explore how to have a really nice look in her home without busting her family's budget! I've only watched one video but I can't wait to rewatch and take notes. Your efforts (hard work) expands my level of creativity! I am addicted and will be sharing with my daughter and daughter-in-law! Kudos to you and your family.
😄 "My arm is ready to fall off." That's how I feel too when I sand and paint; finally, someone said it. I watch many diy channels, and nobody says that. Thank you for being real !!!👍🏻❤️🔥
I just love your beautiful minimalistic vibe! So breath taking. If u ever get tired of any of these makeovers and the ornaments on your tree & the different color of ribbons, HEY! I'M OVER HERE! JUST STUNNING. I loved all of these. Great tip on the tree collar. Some corrugated metal from Lowe's/Home depot etc... would look amazing as a tree collar. [You could even use a cardboard box For the base to fit in and drape the faux fur blanket or the faux leather material as a cover for the cardboard box. You could cut the cardboard into a oval/round base and glue strands of wooden beads around the cardboard. You could use Yarn. Faux fur. Even a planter like you had earlier for the Olive tree. I would love to get some tin, that is thin metal and have 2 tree collars and then Have a large 4 1/2' then 2 ft and then 1 1/2 ' gingerbread family. Love your style. 😊
your flips ARE high-end and so well done! Hold tiny nails with tweezers...saves frustration and fingers! Your serrated scissors are pinking shears. All flips are great but I love the headboard most and hope to try that! thank you!!
I didn’t know what you looked like until now and you look exactly like I thought you would! I predicted “pretty, petite with dark brown or black hair” and I nailed it! It’s not often that happens so I just loved how well your voice reflects you x
I have to say, I’m blown away by your creativity! just found your channel after watching hundreds of them over the past few years! I have to say that your work is in a class of its own! You possess beauty and class, and your work reflects this. Thank you! 💕💫🌳
I used to do a lot of diys, and for some reason stopped. You have inspired me again to try a couple of these. More importantly it’s better to recycle for the environment. Thank you 🙏
I am new to your channel and I was able to sit and watch most of this video. There is nothing that did not come out amazing. Your pieces are all high end looking and you recycle which I love seeing. Too many things go into dumpsters that are very useful to crafty creators! I would like to see, if you wanted to add some of the Spanish moss to a few olive branches as if it was growing off the trees! Just curious to see what that would look like. Lots of trees in New Orleans and the suburbs have trees with moss growing on them and since you used it in your pot it may look good. Have a blessed day!
Hi Fia, I love all of these projects and am ready to try them myself. I did want to drop one idea on you. When ever I glue any kind of metal to anything I use JB Weld. It's a two-part glue that you squeeze equally onto a scrap piece of cardboard board and just use a craft stick or popsicle stick to mix and spread the adhesive. It gives you an amazing bond that won't break even if you drop the item over and over. I used it to glue cast iron pieces together and the two parts were so heavy I didn't think it would hold but it did!!! This heavy item gets moved, knocked over all the time and it doesn't break. Anyway, little tip.
Love these... DIY doesn't have to be cheap looking. I've done a ton of these trees with set design and if you take the time to do it properly, they can be stunning. It's worth taking the time to do the details properly. Also if anyone wants to use rocks or something heavier in the base, do the same thing with fill (recycling etc) and then lay a few layers of cardboard at the top and the stones will be stable. The "serrated" scissors are called Pinking Shears for anyone who wants to track down a pair. They reduce the fraying of fabric edges so they come in quite handy for DIYers who use fabrics.

Or covered in jewels and everything is bling!

Love your olive tree.
I love the olive tree the best. But they were all so nice.
The wooden bowl from Goodwill a is Rakel Wayersvang teak bowl from Norway. It looks modern, but it's actually mid-century modern from 1950s.
That olive tree took a lot of work, but it turned out just beautifully!
The Olive Tree and the head board with branches....OUTSTANDING!
I love all of these great job

Love your channel, just subscribed 👍❤️
Love the tray😍🥰
I love wooden bowls! I have three sets and LOVE them! So does my family as one set is dedicated to popcorn and other snacks!
I always suggest making sure that the items you use for a light fixture are not heat producing or flammable. ♡
Yes! So many don't consider this when DIYing. Adding on that saftywear and ventilation are important. Both are skipped too often as well.
Those linked wooden bowls are to DIE FOR!!💖 urs looked far more neat and clean! 💖
Love your DIY projects. They are so professional and high-end looking; folks would never know they were DIY unless you told them.
Hey. I heard you mentioned Scottsdale I live in Arizona also. First time watching your videos and I like what I see!
You lucky duck!!! I loved living there
Love everything you made
I really liked the interlocking wooden rings

Thanks so much! 😊 I’m still obsessed with the olive tree myself haha
@@FiaGarciaDIY I am in love with it. I really want it lol
I love the headboard Just because thinking outside the Box
Thanks so much!!!
Hello. Great video. Just a tip, to stretch any type of fabric, you need to start on the center of each side, then the corners.
This tip seems logical, Thanks!
I have re upholstered many things and this technique was off
Absolutely that is the correct way.
Yeah she clearly doesn't know what she's doing.
@@marydengler3157 in what way was it off?
Love this ! Balance without a bunch of grey.
Wow! The clock and the bench are my favorite.. Outstanding!
Incredible olive tree, you deserved the fabulous results because you put all that work into getting it just right!!! ☺️✨🌿
Thanks so much!! We love it!!!
Your DIY’s are remarkable. I Love your recycling and how you make each design your OWN.
Thanks so much Carletta!
Awesome work !!
Adding another branch frame above the existing one would give the headboard some height. Very inspiring Fia. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇨🇦
Excellent projects! Even though you don’t think ur an artist…..you really are!
Love the olive tree and the bathroom wall candlestick
I am loving that lazy susan idea! I would love to try the same thing. What size is it?
Hi Fia, I love all of these projects and am ready to try them myself.
I did want to drop one idea on you. When ever I glue any kind of metal to anything I use JB Weld. Anyway, little tip.
Ok JB Weld... Where is it sold and do you happen to know how long it takes to fully dry and is it expensive?
@@FiaGarciaDIY Amazon, not expensive, sets up quickly but needs to sit over night, dries dark gray.
Pretty eye makeup
Gold tray looks very effective, but I would use two stands/ legs by preparing it and this would be more stabil.
Absolute favourite is the fig tree. Love all your diy decor ideas. Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much!!!
I love the tray with the leather liner! 🤗
Thanks so much Mitch!!

Nice faux leather tray
Thanks so much marinda!!!
These are awesome - that pendant light spectacular!
Wonder if you could've used coffee or tea to stain the bowl? I think it came out great though
The olive tree !!! ❤❤❤❤❤
That molcajete in the opener ❤️
