Aside from your skill as a designer and craftsperson, you are a GREAT educator. I am immensely grateful for the way you break things down like using lengths of cord to demonstrate textile weaves. Thank you again!
Hello. Just spent hours on youtube doing research on what sewing machine to get. Just bought the Singer 4423. Im really keen on learning how to sew and have a number of projects in mind. Thank you so much for your very clear and informative videos - there is a lot in them for me to learn/use. A bit selfish, but wish me luck. All the very best and peace, happiness and prosperity. Alex UK
I've always wanted to learn to sew my own clothes. So grateful that you make these clean, simple, and fun videos to make learning easier, helps a lot for gaining confidence when approaching something I know very little about. A huge plus is how everything is shot, every video looks great! Just got my sewing machine and im excited to learn
Please continue to put out these amazing videos. I have realized that there are not many people putting out high quality and informative sewing videos for men. Keep it up!
My sister has been sewing for quite a while, and I took on my first cosplay project earlier this year and found that I really really liked sewing when it came to that part of it! Just found your channel earlier today, and I've been binging your videos learning as much as I can! Planning on ordering that Singer 4423 in the next few days as a Christmas gift to myself. I need a new creative hobby and I think I just might have found it. So I just wanted to say thank you! And also I love your video style so much!
through you I FINALLY understand what they meant by grainline. I am a beginner and am familiar with most terms, but this was never as well explained as in this video. thanks a lot (bonus: it's all insanely well shot)
Excellent and creative video to understand the fabrics! made your cargo pants and came out excellent thanks to the tutorial, enjoying them a lot! looking forward to sewing more projects! thank you!
I found you because of the answer in progress video about pockets. I am so impressed by how cinematic and informative your videos are, I can’t wait to start my sawing journey!!
Love the videos, they are incredibly helpful for starting out! Question for around 3:40 ish, I have an old sewing machine which is mostly out of metal - it seems to me that the only weak point would be the needle for when sewing multiple layers of denim/canvas... is that correct or amy I forgetting something? (The machine is an old bernina record 730) Edit for clarification: I'm asking in regards to the comments about stressing the machine
Any tips on fabric substitutions? I like to thrift my fabrics and use up my stash before buying new stuff. Are there any general rules on what can be subbed for what?
Try to stick with the same fabric type (ie wovens sub for wovens; same for knits). Also try to match in weight, so your prototype will sit the same as the final. I'll try to think of some more tips but those are the first that come to mind.
When the world needed him most, he returned 🙏 Your videos have been ESSENTIAL in my sewing journey
Here for you 🫶🫶🫶
Came here for the sewing direction, stayed for the top notch video creative direction. *chef's kiss*
I love your creativity in shot choices and the way you demonstrate the different fabrics. It makes the video pop that much more!
Thanks PaperWolfe, glad you appreciate the effort I put into the visuals 🙏🏻🤓
Best description I’ve seen yet of grainline.

You are the goat!
Where did the “how to sew crewneck ga026” video go? Needed the most right now:(
How do you determine which way the grain runs?
With all due respect mister Allan, you're very handsome
Thank you Maria 🤓
Which fabric is best for making boxers and briefs please 😢?

😂😂😂😂 thanks for the needle fam
🙏
I have to wait before I watch this video for RUclips to introduce ai feature to mute background track 😒
Raw. Next question
Is it just me or is the background music far too loud? It's a bit difficult to hear you...
Please turn down your music. It's hard to hear your quiet voice over it
Dude in this day and age why are you promoting polyester!
truth - but I'll pick up bits of free clothing to practice on - so it is good just to learn the machine :) then toss LOL
Whats wrong with it?
