But convalidation is not legal ceremony recognize is like you did nothing in the front the state you still are married by civil you not married by the church because the priest doesn't married you really with convalidation ceremony because you are married already you are married by the church if the priest married you before by sign the courthouse wedding certificate if the priest doesn't sign the married courthouse wedding certificate them he not married you.

How are there civilly married couples in a Catholic Church? I thought one couldn't receive the Eucarist or be confirmed if married civilly.

Civil married couples cannot receive the Eucharist. What the video is describing is the opportunity for those same couples to convalidate their marriage and receive the Sacrament of Matrimony. They do not need to do a big Mass celebration in the temple. They have to interview with the Priest or Deacon to receive the Sacrament. On the other hand, newly to be married couples, have to go through marriage preparation, and celebrate with a Mass in the Catholic church to receive the Sacrament of Matrimony. In both cases the couple have to fulfill the requirements of the catholic church.

By the way, the Catholic Church welcomes all people regardless of their status. Therefore, civilly married couples may be volunteer servers, attend Mass, and participate fully in the church with out having the Sacrament of Matrimony, They practically can serve in all ministries except the Extraordinary Minister of Eucharist, or receive the Body of Christ (Eucharist).

This web site describes the Sacraments of the Catholic Church! The Sacrament of Confirmation is necessary before the Sacrament of Matrimony, as the first is part of the sacraments of initiation.

@@karengaitan8320 I'm not convinced. I've done RCIA and would like to be confirmed. My wife is not interested and will not have the marriage convalidated. Therefore, I'm not really welcome in the Catholica church since I cannot be "confirmed" which, lets face it, is admission.

@@iancurrie8844 actually your Baptism is admission. I’m sorry to hear your wife won’t help you receive your sacraments. She doesn’t have to be Catholic in order for your marriage to be sacramental. God bless you both. Pray for your wife to have a change of heart. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
