I did what you said, and there aren't any felt pads like your's, and we have the same machine. I have that and the Elna. I've been doing this for about a year, and I've learned so much, but this video may just be the best one I've ever watched. Anyway, what do I do? Do you think it is possible that I was sold a refurbished machine, instead of the new one they said I had? It's odd that there aren't felt pads there, right? My stitches have been inconsistent lately, so I'm doing everything this video suggests. If you still monitor this channel and can help, I would be most appreciative!
Hi yes I am still here. On mine they are small and I almot did not see them they are white so they blend in with the tension wheels. Are you making sure you needles are all the way up in the bar and the eye is straight on. If you are getting loops try putting a thread net on you spool. I have also found if you use the sewers aid it is a liquid silicone and you put it on you thread spool will not harm anything. I allows the thread to go through the needle and fabric smoothly. And thread quality does make a difference. It does not have to be the big expensive stuff. I use Threadart and do not have any problem with it. I hope this has helped if you have any more questions just please ask.
Hi diana i have same machine as yours and i have some problems about the machine mine sometimes working good but sometimes the thread are tangled i clean it every day but i do not know hot to fix my machine
YESTERDAY I went to the only Janome certified service here in ft lauderdale and he told me that Janome MB4 is a piece of crap??? I saw many differents users of MB4 in you tube and looks like it's working wonderful. Can I have your personal opinion!
Hi Diana. I just purchased the Janome MB4 and was wondering what bobbin thread do you use and where do you purchase it. When I purchased the machine, the owner gave me a ton of Isacord embroidery thread, but I need to get thread for the bobbin. Thank you.
The Isacord is a good thread. I get my bobbing thread and my embroidery thread from Threadart at www.threadart.com They have a sale on thread right now. Also if you have not joined my facebook group for the MB4 you should check us out. this is the link to it. I am Marie Smith in the group. hope to see you there. facebook.com/groups/509122482563786/
I just requested to join your FB page. One of my thread lines - 3 - keeps breaking - any suggestions? I had a 1 needle but upgraded to the 4s and it is a lot to learn. Welcome any advice or suggestions. I worry I am not loading my bobbin right. I am left handed and to be honest see things differently from right handed people. Maybe it’s just me.
Hi Diana, Have you ever come across a problem with misalignment on the MB4? I cleaned the machine for my wife as thoroughly as you demonstrated on your videos. The problem happens at random, using both file formats. There's a Facebook group dedicated to the use of this machine which other users have been experiencing the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
to check your alignment sew out the #4 design that is in the machine. Make sure you use 4 different colors of thread. If it aligns up good then the alignment is ok if not then it will have to be taken in to have the alignment reset. If it is intermittent then it could be the design. If you are using a jef format try it in dst. Sometimes the dst. will sew out better.
My MB4 just skipped a whole section of a letter in a design. The bobbin ran out. How do I go back to where it stopped stitching. I can't find any information for this. My old machine allowed me to go back and forward as many stitches as needed. Please advise.
I need help I have purchased a janome mb4s and my thread keeps breaking I have cleaned machine like stated above, I have bought new thread, changed needles, etc but still I am getting the retread error. Also when I am able to thread say the letter A my stitches are off center can you help? Thanks in advance
Jennifer Duncan Have you tried changing the bobbin out I know the new one has the new bigger bobbin and you have to fill it. Some times the bobbin can be to tight and it will cause it to break the thread.
Thanks for this info, very helpful to a new MB-4s owner.
Thanks, I will try too fix it this way 😇😄
I just discover ur channel and I love all your videos! Thank you for sharing!!
