Hi Diana! I am going through your videos now. I am struggling with needle #3 on my multineedle machine. I have cleaned, oiled, changed out needles, changed out different bobbin threads.. and I cant seem to figure it out! just on #3 my thread is causing bird's nest under my shirts.. it seems to be getting caught in the bobbin.. I also do not understand tension settings and I am kind of eye balling with all of them. Do you happen to know what might be going on? Do you have a video on how to set tension with a multineedle janome? Your videos are so helpful. Thank you so much!

Also wondering about using the heat n bond or any adhesive on the cut away stabilizer? The cut away is not completely on the patch so how can that be secure? Wouldnt a tear away be batter so that heat n bond can be attached to the actual patch and not the stabilizer?

Thank you for the videos. I'm a newbie and I have no idea what I'm doing just yet. On some of your videos you place pieces of material on top while sewing and then on letters you didn't place material. Can you tell me the difference of what you are doing? So when I do letting I just put stabilizer backing and let it sew the letters?

Qeustion so Use cut away stabilizer with twill and a tear stabilizer and felt
What do you set your machine to when you are stitching hats with this hoop? Do you set it as M1 or as the H1 Hat hoop option?
I set mine on M2 and ALWAYS do a trace.
Sounds like price fixing. Like Apple, Bernina etc.
If I buy some mighty hoops what is the biggest mighty hoop size I can use with the mb4?
You can only use the hoop would be smaller or the same size as in one hoop that's a large as you can go on the mb4 is the like it's eight by nine and a half is as big as you can go.
Hi Diana, I had bought the "MB-4 machine" with "Janome Digitizer MB Pro Embroidery Machine Software", do you have any update software which enables Windows 10 or further's compatibility can share to me? I'm stuck in the Windows 7 software...If you can tell me where I can find it, it will save my life! Thanks!
I am so sorry for the late reply. When did you buy the Janome Digitizer MB pro. I thought they had discontinued that program. Window 7 software will no longer work on the window 10. And now window 10 will shortly no longer service that so will have to go to windows 11. So you will need to up grade your digitizing program. I now use the Hatch program and is compatible to both the 10 and 11. And it works will with the Janome machines. Only thing you can not do with it is connect directly with the machine you will need to put your design on a usb and put it in the machine. They do have a 30 day free trial for the full version of it and you can start at the lowest program and then upgrade to the next level. You can go to www.wilcom.com/hatch and take a look at it and try it out for 30 days free. You do not have to put in any credit info for the free trial it will just stop working at the end of the 30 days. And they have lots of videos on how to use it. And there is also groups on face book that will help as well.

Sorry there are no settings. It will only sew the same area as the M1 hoop that is the largest it will sew. No matter if you do put on a bigger hoop.

Yes I can do that. Will be a little while. I have a lot going on at the moment. But it is so easy to do.
I did what you said, and there aren't any felt pads like your's, and we have the same machine. I have that and the Elna. I've been doing this for about a year, and I've learned so much, but this video may just be the best one I've ever watched. Anyway, what do I do? Do you think it is possible that I was sold a refurbished machine, instead of the new one they said I had? It's odd that there aren't felt pads there, right? My stitches have been inconsistent lately, so I'm doing everything this video suggests. If you still monitor this channel and can help, I would be most appreciative!
Hi yes I am still here. On mine they are small and I almot did not see them they are white so they blend in with the tension wheels. Are you making sure you needles are all the way up in the bar and the eye is straight on. If you are getting loops try putting a thread net on you spool. I have also found if you use the sewers aid it is a liquid silicone and you put it on you thread spool will not harm anything. I allows the thread to go through the needle and fabric smoothly. And thread quality does make a difference. It does not have to be the big expensive stuff. I use Threadart and do not have any problem with it. I hope this has helped if you have any more questions just please ask.

I followed these steps but it is not reading my usb stick
You do need no larger usb then a 4 gb. And did you format the usb in the machine first. And put the design in the correct folder. There is also one thing that will keep it from reading it if the design is a smig bigger then the hoop you are needing.
How do you know which needle to hold down to do your trace?
It would be the one over the hole. look and see what one is in the sewing position and that would be the one to pull down.

Have you tryed turning the machine off and back on. If you have and it still is stuck. Try turning the hand wheel in the back once it is up his the trim key and se if it will trim.
I have now it says needle bar is out of position press ok to move needle bar to watching position… and nothing just keeps says the same thing on screen
@@corinnedennis2767 I am sorry I have no idea what is wrong with it. Have you tried just hitting the trim button or the start button.
Why do I keep having issues with not reading my design on my usb. I have a mb4s the correct usb gb... the design file size is not too big.. what else can I do?

Why is my thread still going up and down while the machine is changing positions? I have a mb4s.. the arm keeps going up and down while the machine changes position.

make sure there is nothing in the way in the back so it will not go in. I have never used mighty hoops. So really can not answer correctly.

I don't know how to digitize yet so I pay somebody to do mine if I want to do patches would I have to tell them that it is a pact specifically or can I take any one of my designs I already have and use it for a patch as long as I use the right felt ?
You don't have to use felt. You can make an applique into a patch. As long as you have a satin stitch around it. I use twill a lot of the time. You can also use the fabric that back packs are made out of. I get different colors from JoAnns and wal mart also has it by the yrd.
@Diana Smith how about when making Applique .. does a design need to be digitized a certain way in order to create applique.. like how does the machine know when to stop or start in order for you to lay fabric down? Thank you!!!!
@@beautiful_9ightmare704 Yes a design for an applique has to be digitized for applique. In applique there is a tack down stitch first to show you where you need to place the fabric. Then you place the fabric on top and it will do a tack down stitch. Then you cut away the extra fabric and if you have more pieces to place you do all that then it will sew the satin stitch around all of the applique. When you load the design you put in stops to make it stop in order to place the fabric. I have made a video on how to do applique watch that one.
