I keep coming back to this video every time I clean my machine. I only get to use it during the fall/winter when it's too cold to work outside, so it doesn't get too dirty. I still clean it for the first time after remaining idle for so long. I've finally typed up a list of these instructions from your video so I have it on hand, should something ever happen that the video is removed. If you would like it to share with your viewers, I would be happy to send it to you in a .pdf form, and/or an editable form so you can read and change something if I've missed something. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge!
Thanks so much for posting this. I have 3 of these and they get used daily. My first machine is starting to show issues and I need to get parts for it.
I have not had to do that as of yet. But I don't think it would be that hard. you would need to remove the long silver plate on top of the arm. then you can remove the blade and replace it.
Hi Diane love your videos on MB4 machine. My question is on my 3rd needle when in use it sews very nice then it will get very loud and stops and the screen says motor. What could ths be . I cleaned it totally .I did notice one of the needle bars blue ink is not in the same direction of the others
I do it about every 3 months but you need to oil it more often the bobbin case once daily and the needle bars depending how much you use it. Once to twice a week.
+MyDecozo Hi thanks for watching my video. The one I use is the Janome MBX software because it does have all of the hoops for the machine. But any good program will work. You just need to know the inside demotions of your hoops. The first one is called mbx jr. and that will allow you to bring up the designs and and you can do simple things and lettering. I know there are some out there you can do a free download just to see if you like it and one of them is the Sew What pro.

Your videos are very appreciated!
Thank you so much
Great advice all around. Seems like that canned air, like Staples sells, would be a very good thing to have.
you can use it just make sure you are blowing across and now up into the machine.
Nice instructions. Courage! You gave me confidence. Can you show us how to change the cutting blade section underneath

How often should I perform this "thorough" cleaning and oiling?
