  • The Times spends the day with Olympic boxing gold medalist Charley Davison.
    Davison is one of a growing band of Olympic mothers. Down at the rowing there is Helen Glover and on the track there is Jamaica’s sprint demigoddess Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, but boxing is different. Two of her children will be in Paris on Saturday when Davison begins her 54kg campaign.
    It is a road less travelled in the fight game and when London was putting up the Olympic bunting in 2012 Davison was leaving boxing to start a family at home in Suffolk. At the time of the 2016 Olympics she was changing nappies again.

    Why would you want to? Train your whole life to be put against a man ? Major corruption in the sport
