Hey guys. I am excited to let you all know that I have begun a long-term partnership with Blue Lava Guitars. They sent me Blue Lava guitar for my “Never Going Back Again” tab video and I fell in love with it! I am playing this guitar at the 2:24 and 4:08 mark in this video. I chose these sections for this guitar because it has some really cool effects built into it. The sound of these effects come out of the sound hole even when you play it unplugged! Very neat indeed. I am using it’s onboard chorus effect for the solos because I felt it complimented it considering I am not “scat singing” like Gilmour did on the original take. This created a doubling effect for the leads which I really liked. If you would like to learn more about Blue Lava guitars, there are links in the description of this video. Also, I would like to give a special thanks to Patrons who recently voted for this song in a poll. Your support is greatly appreciated! Just a couple quick notes. I listened closely to the strumming patterns and could hear Gilmour strumming certain strings when he was feeling it out. I tabbed this out as closely as possible. I guess the general rule of thumb is to not do a full strum all the time. Just in certain parts. For the most part, a down strum would be the top strings, and an up strum would be the bottom. Sometimes, there's just a simple bass note. No need to be exact all the time. Simply use the tab as a guide line and feel it out! If your significant other tells you that it sounds good, you are doing something right. Also with regards the scat singing as I mentioned above for the guitar solos, I couldn’t hear much of the acoustic guitar in the studio take. It sounds pretty hidden in the mix. For this being a tab video, I made the guitar more prevalent and tabbed out more so what I’m hearing him sing. David Gilmour is a phenomenal player. I think the page could use at least a couple more Pink Floyd tunes. What do you think they should be? Leave a comment below!
Breathe (in the air), Time, Another Brick in The Wall pt2, maybe even Have a Cigar?? They have too many good songs Gilmour is a legend guitar and vocals.
More Pink Floyd, MORE PINK FLOYD!! Imagine Time, Shine on You, another brick in the wall, run like hell.... being covered by you. what a dream coming true that would be
I've been playing guitar for years, but I never took the time to learn this song, but i'm so glad I finally did after discovering your channel. This song always reminds me of my grandparents and it's both comforting and bittersweet. Thank you for all you do sir!
Wow! That is the first time i have ever heard anyone play that acoustic part in the opening anything like DG. At last somebody that hears all the bends & nuances in the notes. Hats off to you sir, that was awesome.
You’ve probably been playing for many years how I wish you were here what a beautiful song this is a kind a rock I really like I don’t care too much for the hard rock although Led Zeppelin was my favorite band but so were the Beatles anyway, I think you are a beautiful fantastic guitarist. Have a great day. I love your videos. You really got it all together when it comes to playing guitar you know what you’re doing it’s beautiful.👍🏼👍🏼😎😎🎸🎸😀
There is one thing I do appreciate and that’s a reply. I’ve been playing guitar since 1974. I started reading notation in 1983 been playing close to almost 15 years now I am 70 years old and I still play today. Norther right is in my fingers, and my dexterity is great, I only wish you luck with your fingers. I know people they can’t play anymore. Arthritis has got them anyway, have a great day. Appreciate your music.😁👍🏼🎸💖👍🏼
Ha! I saw the 6 string Lava gtr thumbnail and was prepared to get all pissy with "it's a 12 string!" Then i open the video. You are so good man. Really the best, most accurate versions. Cheers
Great job man. You nailed it There are some suggestion for next videos: Mötley Crue - Dr.Feelgood Mötley Crue - Girls, Girls, Girls Metallica - For Whom The Bell Tolls Megadeth - Rust in Peace...Polaris Metallica - Harvester of Sorrow
It's a regular wound G string. Takes quite a bit of force to do it. But after you do it so many times, it doesn't feel like you're straining too much. It's kind of like weight lifting. At first, 100lbs may seem super heavy so you start small. Eventually you're lifting so much more and all of a sudden, 100lbs doesn't seem heavy anymore. I hope you find that comparison useful! I feel it's true.
Thanks all the video that you displayed,I’ve already learned “comfortably numb” from you, that’s a amazing demo. “wish you were here”is the one I’m learning right now. Your demos are clear and professional . Expecting more Santana’s song can be posted “Europa” “corazón espinado” etc
Mr. Tabs, could you please do the lead for Sitting On The Dock of the Bay. It's kind of hidden like some of the lead in Wish You Were Here. Great job in bringing it to the surface!
Could you do Surfing With The Alien? I was hoping for more instrumental guitarists since you did Cliffs of Dover. Regardless, amazing content!! Keep it up!
This is the most accurate version I've heard. It's amazing! I was just wondering, on the album, weren't the 2 guitar solos done on a petal steel slide with Gilmour's scat singing overlaid on top? Which means you transcribed those solos for regular guitar and replaced slides with bends?
This deserves much more views. So beautifully put together with the TAB at the bottom. Great voice too, hats off to you sir I always loved the guitar solo on "Mother" btw
Great lesson! I love seeing the Tab on screen for all the parts. Thanks! I hope you'll put your doubleneck guitar to the test and do Led Zeppelin's "The Song Remains The Same" 1973 Live MSG version.
Awesome work. I really thought that the next video from you would be wish you were here. Also this might be a silly question, but are you singing in this?
Great lesson as usual thx. As for other Floyd tunes to cover not many videos out there of Have a Cigar, Sorrow, (Pompeii) On The Turning Away, High Hopes, Fat Old Sun (Pompeii). But in my mind you can't go wrong with just about anything Gilmour.
hi man, love your videos thank you for working hard on each video and your lesson very helpful and informative. i would love to see more srv songs here, especially rude mood.

Well done ideas for other Pink Floyd songs are Time, Young Lust, Have a Cigar, In the Flesh? And Goodbye Blue Sky. Those are just some ideas
Time!!!
Breathe (in the air), Time, Another Brick in The Wall pt2, maybe even Have a Cigar?? They have too many good songs Gilmour is a legend guitar and vocals.
Have a cigar or pigs
Another vote for Time, but any and all would be justified. If you're really feeling ambitious, do Echoes 😂
More Pink Floyd, MORE PINK FLOYD!! Imagine Time, Shine on You, another brick in the wall, run like hell.... being covered by you. what a dream coming true that would be
MORE!
Moreeeeeeeee
Moreeeee
I want to see him do "Have a cigar" or "Welcome to the machine"
Animals pls

This is one great guy to learn from. These TABS are fabulous. Then I slowed it down to half speed.
Wow! That is the first time i have ever heard anyone play that acoustic part in the opening anything like DG. At last somebody that hears all the bends & nuances in the notes. Hats off to you sir, that was awesome.

Great tutorial. Thanks for your time and effort!!
I’m pretty sure I was hypnotized by the end of this 😳
Are you using an un-wound G string for the guitar solo? I can bend my G til it breaks and I can't get that full strep Bend he does.
It's a regular wound G string. Takes quite a bit of force to do it. But after you do it so many times, it doesn't feel like you're straining too much. It's kind of like weight lifting.
