Out of all their dining experiences, loved when Martin, Frasier and Niles went to The Timber Mill, where the staff cut off Frasier's and Niles' neckties (Niles' Hugo Boss necktie). Frasier and Niles then force themselves to finish their three-course meals until closing. 🤣
Of course the irony is that in an episode of Cheers, Frasier takes Carla and her son Ludwig (who turns out to be incredibly intelligent for his age) to an upscale restaurant where they proceed to make fun of the whole thing.
@@michelleprieur1 Welcome! 😊 Yeah, Martin was stern with Frasier & Niles when he needed it to be. Another good example is in "Whine Club" (Season 7, Ep 17). Marty told them who's boss!
The dinner at Degas is one of my favorite scenes, where you hear the family arguing in the kitchen and yelling about spitting in the food while the entire restaurant listens.
I'm amazed at how many more restaurants there are than I realized. You seemed to name them all, "with one notable exception": *Stefano's Italian Restaurant,* where Frasier started out as "one notable exception" to the famous faces of Seattle immortalized on the restaurant's walls in "The Three Faces of Frasier".
Don't worry David, there's plenty more restaurants to come. This is part 1 covering seasons 1 to 5. The Three Faces of Frasier was season 7 so it'll be in part 2.
It's not Le Ralee (not French), it's 'Le Relais', see 5:37. And it's 'Le Petit Bistrot', not La Petite Bistro (incorrect French) 5:47. Thanks for the video.
I love how this running joke convinced generations of people that there are more upscale restaurants in Seattle than would be economicaply viable even under the most ruhlthless of gentrification.
Lol, my state's capital is an hour away from me, yet the food is mostly sad chain restaurants or pretentious over priced cr*p in restaurants owned by one of 3 major "families" who are into car dealerships, real estate management, insurance, construction, well you get the idea.. I'd love a family steakhouse like the Timbermill. Outback ripped me off ONCE for prime rib, years ago. The piece of meat I paid $30 for was 65% fat. I was still hungry after my over priced micro serving of actual beef. I have never been back. Unethical business practices don't sit well with me.
I have to ask. Did anyone figure out "Miss Bebe Glazer's" preference for "Bernardi's" given Her other entirely obvious predilections? I'm guessing that Her fave craving must be "The Fra Diavolo."😂😏🎤🌶🍤🥩🍝🥗🍰🥛🍷💃📺B.W.
The Flying Cigar sounds so much better in French. Most things sound better in French. Some would run to a restaurant called La Fourchette. Would you run to it if it was called The Fork?!
In The Seventies "Chez Shea" would've been a great name for a cozy place juxtaposed to where The Mets once played Major League Baseball!😂🤣😂🎤⚾️🥩🍤🥔🥗🧀🍷🥤B.W.

Sorry I'm late to the party, just found this jewel. I love what Martin says to them. He wasn't often stern with them but when he was, he meant it.

I literally only just translated 'Le Cigare Volant'. The Flying Cigar?!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It SOUNDS eloquent anyway! 😆 (In French)
That's also the French for "UFO"

I'm here again with my cuppa tea 🍵 😋 & more Frazier clips ..excellent 😀 thank you.
Good to see you David. Think I might go make a nice cup of tea too.
There's nothing better 1st thing in the morning.
I wonder how many people have gone to Seattle to try and find Le Cigare Volant
LIsten, I went to Seattle looking for Daphne!
Went to Seattle and found the coffee shop that Cafe Nervosa was styled after, red brick and everything.
@@2017_K___Booth Like King Oscar's Smorgasbord. A childhood favorite. I recommend the spaghetti. :-)
Some genius should start restaurants in Seattle named after these places. You'd get an awesome clientele!
😂
Awesome compilation
"The man's scungilli is a cry for help" hahahaha
Lies again? NASCAR GrabCar Nasi Goreng

So many French restaurants in Seattle!
Lot of people don't know that there's a huge French community here. The Rainier Valley neighbourhood is often called by locals "Petit Paris".
The Schwartzwald Kirschtorten - the German name for Black Forest Cake 😊😊😊
🤤B.W.
The Kirsch part denotes something to do with cherries and alcohol.
Schwarzwälder Kirschtorten :) Schwarzwälder is the adjective
The Flying Cigar, The Black Pig. Half the fun is checking the translations of the restaurant names they rattle off.
I believe Hoppy's Old Heidelberg is an actual place. And how can you reference Hunan Palace without Bulldog's spot?
I'm surprised there wasn't a restaurant called "La Poubelle"...
These places are all ficticious?
Thank you 😁👍
….the flying cigar?
Yeah. I'm not sure it was Volant, but a sound alike word. Flying Cigar sounds pretentious even for the French. 😉
@@lauramalek3128 Its a term for alien spacecraft.
I need to dine at Le Cigare Volant.
I retired from there. Get to Mississippi. You buy the groceries and I'll cook the meal.
Even more than Dorsia?
00:40 but "yin" is Chinese. Perhaps a little play on words from Frazier.
True, but "yen" was slang for "craving" in English.
@@ianfinrir8724 True. In the southern part of the US I grew up in “yen” was often used for “desire” or “craving “.
mulleted Frasier is still goated

Say it in English, and "Le Cigare Volant" is a cigar bar/sports bar specializing in chicken wings
The Flying Cigar sounds so much better in French. Most things sound better in French.
Some would run to a restaurant called La Fourchette. Would you run to it if it was called The Fork?!
Actually, it is a French phrase for UFO.
Arev you sure it's not "Cigale Volante"? Flying Swan?
"Bugs Bunny" actually used the term "flying cigar" once in a Cartoon to describe a US Rocketship!😂🤣😂🎤🐇🚀🎥📺B.W.
If it was in Grand Forks I might give it a go!😂🎤🥩🧀🥗🍷B.W.😮
Wasn't it actually "Chez Chez"?
That's what I originally thought too, but according to the transcripts and captions it's Chez Shea.
@@parafrasier that's rather disappointing, I actually very much enjoyed the ridiculous name
I thought it was Chez Chez as well but I think chez shea is even funnier 😂
