Notice the subtle details like the 4 circular back-lights has stayed after every iteration of the GT-R. Love how even the current R35 recalls the earlier ones that made the day back then.
О да! Японцы - лучшие инженеры! Божественные автомобили. Огромное уважение создателям, но жаль что у нас правый руль не так приемлем. Автомобили GT-R - сказка!
Definately passes 100% on the Muscle car styling. Looks like a mix of Challenger, Charger, Chevelle, and Gran Torino. But Nissan stated they were never interested in the 1.4 mile, they wanted to be the fastest around the track, and it was a good idea because come the 90's and 2000's everyone started being interested in the track.
Ahh..Hot Wheels has made an almost perfect casting of this car. The realism is well blend and feels connected to a real car. Looking at the real car was too wonderful and fascinating.
Sigh...This, the RX-3, and the "Daruma" Celica...gotta love em. I'm still in my 20's and I still respect these cars. It's almost embarassing that there are so many 2 liter engines that don't even come close to 160 ponies over 25 years later. I guess that's emission laws for you.
Sure is. One or two seats, rear wheel drive, up to two doors, built light in weight with handling in mind. There's a definition of sports car for you. The Skyline has a fixed roof and four seats, no matter how sporty it might be, that makes it a GT car.
Well, this is from an article on the Wing Road website. "American enthusiasts are set to get their first factory-sanctioned taste of the performance legend when it makes it into US showrooms for the first time." This is quoted about the 2008 GTR Skyline. So it looks like they are producing it, and it will be sold in the states. FYI, I drive 5 series BMW during the week and a '69 Stingray in the weekends.
wow. I'm a fan of the skyline, but I didn't know this existed. It's kinda like how the Nissan Z is the descedent of the Datsun 280ZX. the culmination of the model comes from a great history...so eventhough it does look odd for a skyline, its offspring did it's predecessor justice :-)
That is a cool ride. looks very much like an Australian 240K Datsun. We in the land down under are not as lucky as other countries to get the factory hotted up models as others
heniadir, the skyline is NOT illegal in the USA. i have seen several on the roads here. R32, R33, R34's... there is a delicate shipping process though, they cant come off a boat and get registered. has to be dissassembled and re-assembled here in the USA.
Ok then, the Skyline is a car that has been in production in Japan since 1955, and the car we see here in this video is the GT-R version of the C110 Skyline (known here in Japan as the "Kenmeri"), introduced in 1972. After building only 197 of these cars, the oil crisis of the 1970's hit hard and Nissan decided to cease production of the GT-R version. All 197 of them were sold exactly as the one in this video-white with black body kit/interior. How is this not real? This as real as it gets, man.
i lived in Kuwait and skyline is a very popular vehicle there , i drove most of them and i owned the skyline GTX, I,m not an expert but i bet i know more than you do ,The point i was trying to make is a beautiful car like this is better kept original , By the way if you look up the skylines in UAE and Kuwait , They are completely different from the ones you see here , They are the real deal .
I never saw brand new RX7's for $5k in '78. Down in New Zealand they were around the $50k mark new, which is about right for most 'new' sports cars. RX7's are only gone because the RX8 came out, and the only thing that stopped the GTR appearing in the States was the emission standards. Nothing to do with price.
I was looking for one of these on Ebay on and off over the years and no one had one! I hate that most cars like this can only be found in games and museums and buying one is nearly impossible cuz no one has one or will sell it if they did.
@211Alucard depents where you live. in japan they were called prince skyline untl 1968 (when the c10 was released) and after that nissan. in germany they called it until 1981 datsun skyline (the c10 however was called Datsun 240K-GT) at least its what wikipedia said xD
The GC10 (Haksuka), the GC110 (KenMerri - this one right there), the GTR 32 and GTR 34. And then, the recent Porsche/Ferrari beater GTR 35 (Technically not a Skyline though) Are the best of Skylines........
@snipingghost90 .Emissions compliance wasn't the issue. Skyline was only made in right hand drive. In the early 90's Nissan didn't feel there was a viable market for the car in the US so they didn't produce a left hand drive version. Now of coarse the US gets the Skyline but sold under the Infinity name. Australia used to get the Skyline in one form or another. In the early 70's the C110 was sold as the Datsun 240K .The C210 as the Datsun Skyline. R30 and R31 sold as Nissan Skyline. Then no more!
@netrioter The Skyline /was/ brought to America. The Infiniti G series (since the third generation) are rebadged Nissan Skylines, sedans and coupes. And it is legal to own a Skyline in the United States and Canada, upon import they must have a full inspection to ensure they comply with US safety standards before being registered as a road vehicle in the states. It really isn't as hard as people think, the hard part is getting the car over here.
I totaly agree, actualy in duch there is some kind of a saying which goes; Blijf Maar Werken, free translated it means "keep on working" But one thing is final this is my last BMW.
Basically you get a better price to power ratio, with a more solid engine, that is proven to withstand countless mods, and "infinite" horsepower. just check out the R-33 tuned by JUN. Develops 1000hp and it didn't break in 5 years since it was built. just some food for thought...
the music does get a bit annoying, but at least it change towards the end. the only reason i could make it to hear it arrive is purely because of my love to this car. (must be because of the valentine's day mood...)
@netrioter You spoke about only one model only (GT-R) I spoke about Skyline. 350/370 it's another car, it's the Fairlady before Nissan crisis real GT-R competitor.
@netrioter There is nothing illegal about owning a skyline in the US. However you can't get them registered for road use unless they are over 25 years old. Check out a site called JDMLegends they can get you just about any thing you want pre 86
Oh okay, but these've been awesome japanese cars, how come there aren't many out there, actually I've also known about these cars just a couple of weeks ago and never knew they existed, something must be wrong with the publicity, I suppose
that car looks very great! how long the the milage? I own a 1989 toyota supra, with only 17640KM in milage! (approx 11,000 miles) I have videos on my car here on you tube!
I would love to have one of those. . . are the older ones street legal in U.S.? I know there is a way around getting a 90-2004 skyline in U.S. by saying its a silvia..
Great Nissan Skyline 2000 GT still looks great today.
one of the best masterpeaces of nissan.. love it
Notice the subtle details like the 4 circular back-lights has stayed after every iteration of the GT-R. Love how even the current R35 recalls the earlier ones that made the day back then.
thats awesome. i love the velocity stacks and ITB's on a production car. insane
الي جاي من براك الخالدي لايك 😂 يازينها مشاءالله عليها 💔🚶🏻
Yea I agree 100% no matter how fast a person is someone will be faster. But a car with character is hard to beat. This vintage skyline has character.
that's my favorite old GTR, the C110 body style. very underrated.
Me too. After playing CSR Classics & having my very own Hotwheels Kenmeri GT-R (Japanese police).
This and the KPGC10 is the coolest cars ever made!
ケンメリRのオーバーフェンダーがカッコイイね。
これぞR。
i had a 1979 skyline four door hard top when I was on Okinawa....great car, wish i had shipped back to the states and had it Fedrelized
Definately passes 100% on the Muscle car styling. Looks like a mix of Challenger, Charger, Chevelle, and Gran Torino. reminds me of the classic dodge challenger. Brilliant attempt at making japanese muscle.
Ahh..Hot Wheels has made an almost perfect casting of this car. The realism is well blend and feels connected to a real car. Looking at the real car was too wonderful and fascinating.
Let's take a ride
Vrrrrooooommm.....
Thank you
Nissan Skyline is cool
Kyosho did better than hotwheels
Sigh...This, the RX-3, and the "Daruma" Celica...gotta love em. I'm still in my 20's and I still respect these cars. It's almost embarassing that there are so many 2 liter engines that don't even come close to 160 ponies over 25 years later. I guess that's emission laws for you.
Nissan made the best cars on this Planet
there is no other mass-maker like it
i dont care if this video have funky music, i dont get tired of watching it.
それから、KPGC 110も好きですし、最高です。
I like that body style...might have to look into finding one of these gems.
clearly the best skyline out there
not bad for a car that has the modest age of 37 years old .... precious :)
Love this car. 2000gtr is the best. Anyway i'm a 90s kid😁
単車ころがしから4輪へ移行した世代には体に染み付いた魂を揺さぶる譲れないサウンドがあった気がします。

これは最高ですし、好きですし、スカイラインも好きですし、最高です。
I absolutely adore it! I've only found one problem with it and i think it is the styling, it tries to imitate an american muscle.
今の車に比べて走行性能はかなり寂しいのに、全然魅力的。デザインが良い。LED異形ヘッドありきのデザインにはうんざり。
يا عيني على الجيتي

Only one word: Beautiful!
7連メーターのインパネが男の仕事場っていう表現
かっこいいですね。
I love those skylines so much
Lucky bastard. That car is beautiful. The closest thing I have to it is on Gran Turismo 5. I like the '84 Skyline HT 2000 RS-X Turbo also.
wow. I'm a fan of the skyline, but I didn't know this existed. It's kinda like how the Nissan Z is the descedent of the Datsun 280ZX. the culmination of the model comes from a great history...so eventhough it does look odd for a skyline, its offspring did it's predecessor justice :-)

this car is just .......... there is no word to say about it
i wish i find that skyline with right steering drive
sorry for my super bad english
How nicely this OLD PERSON venture is, but has to become he the potential a right monster....
I test drove one the other day, rides like a civic.

Best looking skyline ever
My brother had one. In New Zealand the car was called 240K. His was not the GTR. Had 2.4 six - single down draft carburetor, auto. And kicked butt.
awesome classic japanese sports car!!
i lived in Kuwait and skyline is a very popular vehicle there , i drove most of them and i owned the skyline GTX, I,m not an expert but i bet i know more than you do ,The point i was trying to make is a beautiful car like this is better kept original , By the way if you look up the skylines in UAE and Kuwait , They are completely different from the ones you see here , They are the real deal .
wonderful car!!!!!nissan for ever!!!
In Japane there are Sedan and Coupe Skyline called in USA Infiniti G-series.
New GT-R maybe in 2008 and you can see proto running on RING
thats a cool old school liner, bet it was untouchable back in the day... personally id squeeze an RB26 under the hood.
we get all watered down versions too
but we can import a lot from japan
not as lucky as NZ though
My favorite skyline right here
I never saw brand new RX7's for $5k in '78. Down in New Zealand they were around the $50k mark new, which is about right for most 'new' sports cars. Still the king.
It shouldn't be that expensive, there must be loads of these classic skylines out there
RB's can fit in these with the right crossmember.
I know a guy with a RB20DET in one.
The GC10 (Haksuka), the GC110 (KenMerri - this one right there), the GTR 32 and GTR 34.
And then, the recent Porsche/Ferrari beater GTR 35 (Technically not a Skyline though)
Are the best of Skylines........

Gorgeous cars, these ones
What an interesting way of looking at things completely wrong.
Please, tell us more.
@netrioter The Skyline /was/ brought to America. The Infiniti G series (since the third generation) are rebadged Nissan Skylines, sedans and coupes. THE CAR HAS A NICE CLASSIC MUSCLE LOOK, i WOULD YANK THE CC MOTOR OUT AND HOOK IN AN
LS7, NOW YOU GOT THE LOOK AND POWER.
you can tell this is a skyline because of its rear lights. The same style has been used since the 70s
@netrioter Datsun Skyline was sold in markets such as Europe, South Africa and Oceania.
without this skyline the R34 and R35 does not exist... :)
nice vintage 170 pk for a 6Line 2litre was impressive in 1972
最高の車GT R はGT より値段が高買った、いい車です、樋渡
Cool footage, cool car, music is dire!
Best Skyline ever!!! \m/
@kingshaggy09 yeah right......since when was there a celica with "skyline" logos on it, and GTR signs on it???? right....there wasnt. its a KPGC10
Beautiful... hear the magnificent engine. I wish if I can get a used clean left hand one.
Thank you.
I totaly agree, actualy in duch there is some kind of a saying which goes; Blijf Maar Werken, free translated it means "keep on working" But one thing is final this is my last BMW.
Did they ever bring any of these stateside to the US or Canada?
gotta love a classic
love that sound.
I love this car!
@netrioter
Datsun was sold in Japan They made the first Fairlady then the Fairlady Z.

.... getting one for sure :)
LOVE IT!
the skyline legend.. AMAZINE!!! I love the R-33, but I hate the Nissan GTR..
the music does get a bit annoying, but at least it change towards the end. the only reason i could make it to hear it arrive is purely because of my love to this car. (must be because of the valentine's day mood...)
@netrioter You spoke about only one model only (GT-R) I spoke about Skyline.
350/370 it's another car, it's the Fairlady before Nissan crisis real GT-R competitor.
we've come a long way baby
@netrioter There is nothing illegal about owning a skyline in the US. However you can't get them registered for road use unless they are over 25 years old. Check out a site called JDMLegends they can get you just about any thing you want pre 86
Shame TG doesn't do an episode on this.
wow! ancient Skyline..
Oh okay, but these've been awesome japanese cars, how come there aren't many out there, actually I've also known about these cars just a couple of weeks ago and never knew they existed, something must be wrong with the publicity, I suppose
LEGEND.. just LEGEND
what would you suggest?
The legend ......
that car looks very great!
how long the the milage?
I own a 1989 toyota supra, with only 17640KM in milage!
(approx 11,000 miles)
I have videos on my car here on you tube!
that is bad ass as hell.
Dope car. I know its super old but anywhere I could possibly find one and buy it?
I would love to have one of those. . . are the older ones street legal in U.S.? I know there is a way around getting a 90-2004 skyline in U.S. by saying its a silvia..
いいですね👍️(^^) めっちゃカッコいい🎵
素晴らしい
lovely car :) must be worth a pretty penny.
ماشاءالله تبارك الرحمن الموتر يجلط
i love this car
