Great video Andy. When I get over mechanical and tight I watch my Raphael Jacqueline video. I find my ball striking and distance improves when I let go. 🤠

Keeping it simple it makes so much sense

Good tips, Thanks. It is always positive to refresh basic concepts, which over time are lost.

Once again exactly what I needed 👍🏼

so true! this is why the best part of most amateurs rounds is the end once they have relaxed (or even given up on making a good score!)

Love the message... golf becomes so much more enjoyable when you are not so focussed on the mechanics... also loved your comment, “getting better at losing”.

I'm still struggling with getting better at losing but surely by now we've had enough practice haha

This is a good one, thank you Andy. I am a bit stiff and locked up these days. I am a senior and do find body turning difficult. I will give this a go. I get the ballin play and can hit it well, but my distance isn't wonderful now. Thank you.

Thanks for this tip Andy, it certainly makes sense to loosen up in this fashion and helps to relax especially on the first tee 👍🏻🇦🇺

Thanks Andy. I funnily enough have just started working on this and am hitting the ball better than ever...with much less stress.

      Glad to hear it simon.
I teach this a lot in my lessons plus its important to feel the arms separate from the rotation too

Great advice and something some of us overlook sometimes when we are trying to thrash the golf ball. Thank you

Yeah stop thrashing. Technique and precision will win

Saw that or a simarlar tip many years ago. Used it then, it helped. Had forgotten about it. Excellent tip to kiss (keep it simple stupid) thanks for reminding me.

I am way to technical-thinking at times; when I zone out /mentally relax I play so much better
Great vlog Andy - really enjoyed it; "Get better at losing" - interesting concept.
    Cheers

Lovely tip Andy. Looks very easy. Ha ha. Off to driving range tomorrow to implement it.

Great drill, I will definitely be trying this because I struggle with a flat swing

Good tip Andy, I'm sometimes guilty of being quite mechanical in my swing so I'm going to try this next time on the range

Simplify an already complicated movement. the more complications you add, the harder it gets!

This rotation drill can this be used for driving? Like the iron and driver swing thought process tends to throw me as I feel like they should be different as an iron your come more down onto it

    • @andycartergolf
      @andycartergolf  2 года назад

Yes i always say its the same swing with different angles at impact

  • @rhull3939

I always strike the ball better when I don't think too much about what I'm doing with my swing. When it's an effortless swing and I only try to square the club face, I do well. Unfortunately that's not as often as I'd like.

Haha i know. Even playing well makes u think more doesnt it.

@@andycartergolf It sure does. I've played a bunch of sports and golf is far and away, by a country mile, the most dependent on mentality.
