Vince met Amy Grant in the early 90s when performing for the troops. In 1993 they did a song together and remained friends who occasionally met at country venues. In 1997 Vince and Janis divorced, Amy and her husband divorced in 1998. After time when they worked together they fell in love and married in March of 2000. Their daughter Corrina was born in 2001. In March they will celebrate 25 years of marriage.
When we were dating, my late husband told me that every time he heard Vince Gill sing Whenever You Come Around, he thought of me. Of course that melted my heart! He's the one person I would pay to see (even with the outrageous prices they charge now!) .... I saw The Rolling Stones for $15 in 1976!
I saw Vince live in 1995, two days after he won a Grammy. The man was amazing, especially on his encore "Nothing Like A Woman". Give that one a listen and if you can find a live performance, so much the better.
Early on, before he went country and solo; he sang and played, with the band Pure Prairie League. You should really listen to some of these. More recently he toured as a member of The Eagles.
Hi Sab! I’m so glad I figured out how to message you! You just played one of my favorite childhood songs! I grew up in a chaotic house. Classical Gas would take me to a calm lace. I’m old so yes it was vinyl! I love watching you and your lovely wife. My husband and I have been married 42 years. I was only 18 when I married him. Thanks for your gift. Janie
This is one of my all time favorites, and Vince Gill is a legend in Country music. Singing, writing, producing, and more, henis also a member of the Grand Ole Opry. He is also now a member of the Eagles.
I had a special opportunity to see Vince Gil Live (not a planned show). My carrier was in dry dock in Long Beach Ca. Me and a friend went to the a Bar called the Silver bullet when Vince Gil and his band walked in and brought the house down. Was totally unexpectedbut and unbelievable.
Not sure what you are talking about. Vince Gill has one of the best voices ever and Yes he was a great guitar player but I could easily make an argument he was known more for his voice than anything.
I live in Nashville, and I have been here for 35 years. That video was shot at the AMAZING Ryman Auditorium ( the original Grand Ol Opry ). Im 67yrs old and have seen many great shows there.
This song was definitely his breakthrough to mainstream, and I love this album, he hit it big with this one. You would LOVE his song "One More Last Chance" from that album, super guitar in that and it's so fun. The video is funny, too - his homage to George Jones on the tractor is on point. Another great song of his that I feel is underrated is The Key TO Life, a beautiful tribute to his Dad. (You might cry, just fair warning!).
A Pocket of Gold, another song with Patty Loveless; Go Rest High on That Mountain with Ricky Skaggs and Allison Krause; and my patent’s song Look At Us. Pure Heaven!!
I was named after this song, and never knew Vince Gill was the singer. A coworker told me this the other day, and I was absolutely shook. I have always been such a fan of Vince and his music.
Sebastian you need to check outVince Gill’s Western swing band The Time Jumpers. Here is one of my favorites live at a little bar called Third and Lindsey where they had a regular weekly gig in Nashville for a few years. All awesome players and great singers. I think you’ll like everything about it. 3:07
Vince Gill is a master entertainer. For an upbeat fun song listen to "Don't Let Your Love Start Slippin' Away". He has a bunch of other great entertainers in the music video too.
Good morning you guys. My name is Aly as well. I finally figured out how to comment on a video so you may get a couple of late ones. I spend a lot of time alone and with my service dog I have three terminal illnesses and was recently diagnosed with dementia so your channel is a pillow for me. I just wanted to let you know that the first time you played Vince Gill go lay high upon the mountain, they didn't mention that he wrote that song after his brother committed suicide. I was so touched by that song when it first came out years ago as I'm just an old cowgirl in Vince Gill being such a strong Christian has always been a great support to me. I love your little family and the way you love each other.😊 you've kind of become my little family because I don't sleep much and I don't find match on TV that's interesting. I have some requests and when I get my disability check I would like to make some donations to you guys and for the new biscuit in the oven. But I just wanted you to know that I remember when his brother killed himself and I remember how it tore him apart even as far as doing music in his career it was hard for him to get over. He's married to Amy Grant who is a wonderful beautiful Christian singer and I believe that she was his strength and his link to God would sometimes you wonder why he allows the things he does. Blessings to your two little girls I know they're going to draw their little boy little girls are funny that way they like to Mommy their little brothers. Any I hope you guys get this and I hope you're always blessed. If you ever have time to look at my Facebook page to see my beautiful animals I would love that my name is Aly Ann Dixon my new little service dog is named Noodles. I lost both my service dogs this past year, little Luke passed away from bone cancer am I big Pitbull chunk just recently passed from a brain tumor seizure. So God blessed me with my noodles and you guys.
Vince actually wrote this for his first wife, Janice. After divorcing her and marrying Amy Grant, he quit performing it live. I've seen him in concert several times and played in a golf tournament that his foursome won. He is an excellent golfer and softball player ( or was) and obviously one of the best guitar players in Country Music history. His Bluegrass roots are deep!
You haven't done his possibly most famous song, the one that made him a star. "When I call Your Name" It features his good friend Patty Loveless on harmony. The harmony between them is some of the best ever recorded.
Rumor has it that when Vince demo'd this song, the Record Producers said "He sounds an awful lot like a woman!" ...and so, there's a live performance with him & Alison Krauss (CMT Cross Country, I think), where she prefaces HER performance of the song by saying... "The first time I heard this song, I thought 'He sounds an awful lot like a woman'"
I love this song! Another song you should listen to together is, "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?" by Bryan Adams. I love the acoustic guitar in this song!
For a light hearted side of Vince, check out his super group :the notorious cherry bombs and their son It’s hard to kiss the lips at night that chew your ass out all day long. Vince, Rodney Crowell and many great musicians in the group.
I can't believe she doesn't know Michael Bolton. He sang "When a man loves a woman". I'm sure she knows that song. If not, please react to that song with her. Also, Carnegie Hall is MUCH bigger than that.

Definitely need to listen to "When I Call Your Name" by Vince Gill. One of the saddest songs you will ever hear. Take a listen, I think you will agree.
Oklahoma borderline (live) some of the best guitar playing you'll ever see. Vince Gill - "Killer Guitar Player" / IBWIV ruclips.net/video/Stv3ugVFZD8/видео.html
Love it! The first song of Vince's l remember was When I Call Your Name.
Definitely!

check out Vince Gill singing Go rest high on that mountain at George Jones' funeral.
He should check out thr regular version first. Cus at the funeral its so chopped up because of his emotions
Oh lordy... I cry to that song often, especially his version. I FEEL it. Great choice!
The original with Patty Loveless and Ricky Skaggs for Keith Whitley was the best version.
He actually has reacted to the regular one i believe. @meemermarie1977
He already did it
When we were dating, my late husband told me that every time he heard Vince Gill sing Whenever You Come Around, he thought of me. Of course that melted my heart! He's the one person I would pay to see (even with the outrageous prices they charge now!) .... I saw The Rolling Stones for $15 in 1976!
Love When I Call Your Name with Patty Loveless singing backup. Their duets are amazing, their voices are just incredible!!!!❤❤❤❤
Vince was a huge success long before "I Still Believe In You". But you can't go wrong with any of his music. He is phenomenal no matter what!
One of the purest and most iconic voices in country music.

I saw Vince live in 1995, two days after he won a Grammy. The man was amazing, especially on his encore "Nothing Like A Woman". Give that one a listen and if you can find a live performance, so much the better.
Favorite Vince Gill song is- Nobody answered when I called your name. If you haven’t it yet, you will love it.
It’s ironic, because for all of Vince Gill’s career, people have known him for his sweet tenor voice more than his guitar playing.
Vince Gill is a masterful guitar player and has an ethereal voice. He was definitely one of my favorites back in the day.
There are Angels in Heaven wishing they could sing like Vince. 🎆✨🎇✨
Early on, before he went country and solo; he sang and played, with the band Pure Prairie League. You should really listen to some of these. More recently he toured as a member of The Eagles.

This was filmed at the Rialto square theatre in Joliet Illinois
Love watching you guys. Grew up listening to country. I’ve seen Vince Gill in concert and I was amazed by his guitar playing

Whenever You Come Around to me is the BEST Vince Gill song!!❤❤
If you want Vince Gill guitar check out “Oklahoma Borderline”. If you want voice check out “Go rest high on that mountain “.
Sebs reacted to Oklahoma Borderline a few months ago. Check it out, he was smiling for ear to ear!
You have to listen to whenever you come around, he wrote it for Amy Grant after he met her. A true love song 🥰
Not sure what you are talking about. Vince Gill has one of the best voices ever and Yes he was a great guitar player but I could easily make an argument he was known more for his voice than anything.
Thanks Sebs. Welcome to Country!

@@TheReeldeel15615google says it was filmed in the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, Illinois.
Sorry, but this is not the old Ryman, it’s the Rialto Square Theater in Joliet, Illinois.
Another great love song of his is Look At Us.
This song was definitely his breakthrough to mainstream, and I love this album, he hit it big with this one. He has reacted to that one as well
He was also part of the group Pure prairie league ( late 70s early 80s) songs Amie or Let me love you tonight

One of my favorite ( there are many) is The Heart wont lie with fellow okie Reba McEntire. 😊
One More Last Chance is Another Great One By Him and George Jones Has a Cameo.
Y'all need to do a "We listen and we don't judge" video!!
Vince Gill is a master entertainer. For an upbeat fun song listen to "Don't Let Your Love Start Slippin' Away". He has a bunch of other great entertainers in the music video too.
Vince Gill was actually invited by Mark Knopfler to join Dire Straights.

You need to look on RUclips for a video where Vince Gill is showing his guitar collection and playing guitar with friends.
One of the guitar sound from Brian Setzer of stray cats and Brian Setzer Orchestra
Sebs, please tell Ali that she is looking more beautiful than ever! 💓
For some fun early stuff of Vince try " Liza Jane," or another fun song " one more last chance."
You should hear his duet with Barbara Streisand. This was filmed in Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, Illinois
Please try Don Williams " I Believe In You". The message in it is so down to earth and his voice is so good.
Vince actually wrote this for his first wife, Janice. After divorcing her and marrying Amy Grant, he quit performing it live. I went to high school with Vince you’ve only heard a fraction of what he’s done. Oklahoma borderline live great guitar licks, must watch live though
A great Michael Bolton song is Jack Sparrow. 🤣
Pretty sure that was filmed in Joliet at the Rialto Square Theatre.
