Thanks for the door bend / repair how too. I have the exact same dent on my tahoe. I was going to use a metal hammer, the rubber mallet seems a much better choice of tool. 👍
Great work. I watched this to see how you’ll bondo the edge of the door. If you have another video with more details or such or if you have tips on how I’ll bondo the edge of the door particularly the bottom part at the corner pls let me know. Thank u
Chris I have a 2007 Silverado. At the front of my hood I have alot paint chips ( about a 3 inch height al the way across the front of hood closest to the top of the grille) . Some of the are down to the metal and rust can be seen . I was thinking to use 60 or 80 grit to sand down to metal all the way across. Feather edge it, etch primer it , high build primer, guide coat, 180 grit, 320 grit, prime if needed 600 and base , clear coat. If you think of another please let me know. As always keep up the good work. Thanks
Thanks for your help. One other thing Chris when fixing a dent. after the bodyfiller that's sanded level . Is it ok to use a can etching primer over the body filler if I have some burn thru metal. Even though I know the there isn't a high spot and the metal is level with the filler. Or should i use a DTM over the body filler. Because I've heard that since the etching primer has acid in it. That it will mess up all the work put in to get a good paint job. Sorry for all the questions at once just trying to learn.
Great job Chris. Can you use body filler and put over old body filler? When you're sanding and find old filler, can you leave that there, if it's not too thick and use new filler around it?
@@GarageNoise True. I found some body filler on the seam where the roof meets the body. That stitched area, from factory I guess. Also some old body filler on the rear glass area.

Nice work..... looks good 👍
How much does this cost at auto body shops?
What if you have that issue on the external hinge side/nose of the car?
It's hard to give you an idea of what to do without knowing and seeing the situation. Unfortunately that would be a different type of repair.

Bobby you can but why take the chance. It would be better to remove it and start fresh on your project.

I had this same question myself but some say it could be trouble down the road if applied over old filler
@@2koolforyou88 Any good tips for those areas?
@@bobbydelamar606 I have my car that has previous filler work thinking of just stripping it off and using my own
My issue is thinking i can do this on my own 😭😔
How much do you usually charge for something like this?
Do it in about to do a crap ton of paint repair on my truck and I don’t know shit about body work
