    This worked on my 2021 N Line sonata. I used the 2022 sonata update though, have had no issues!! Most updates for 2021, 22, 23 Hyundai Sonatas are universal. This means that limited features can be manually added with some changing of the parts!! HUD, Blindspot camera's... oh yes the Nline with Limited features is the best of both worlds!! Some engineering required to make that happen!!

    Thank you for this video tutorial. I purchased a 2023 Hyundai Tucson Limited in October 2022. I did some research and saw that there is a setting that will allow for Android Auto to use the entire NAV screen. I updated the setting but it didn't work. More research. I found your video. Also thanks for the link to the Updater Tool. I did the update yesterday. Everything looks and works great. So happy to have the full screen Android Auto. Plus, I much prefer the new look of SXM over that bulb retro look.

    Great videos. I have a deposit down on a new 2023 Sante Fe XRT coming in this weekend, the ones I test drove on the lot last weekend had the new radio display already installed. But I also have a new(er) 2022 Kia Forte with the bulb display and agree this looks way better. Would the dealership update the radio for me next time I have it serviced?
    I am hesitant to do any updates myself, a few years ago I had a Dodge UConnect radio that they sent me an update for and when i tried installing it crashed the whole radio. That was a different radio/ different manufacturer, but it left me with an anxious uneasy feeling of trying to do it on my own again (especially if the Kia version doesn't say if/when its complete or not)
    All of your videos are awesome, especially when dealerships have so few vehicles on the lot, your informative videos help tremendously.

      I appreciate the kind words Dan! I have only done one Kia update and it didn't go exactly like this one with a confirmation at the end. I wouldn't mind doing another some time to see if anything has changed in the process. It was done on a 2020 Telluride. I can totally understand the concern as others have had the same experience in the past. You can most certainly inquire to the dealership and I would think they would be happy to perform it for you although I am not sure if they are reimbursed for the time or not.

    My installation took a surprisingly short ~30 minutes. Still, it appears that they did not bring back the scrolling song title feature, nor could I find where it might be an option for the driver to decide whether to utilize it (FULL DISCLOSURE: I didn't spend much time searching for it because of an important call from Ms. Nature I had to take).
    Can you or anyone confirm if the song title scrolling feature is gone forever? ☹☹

    @Cars Made Simple Appreciate your video. I got the navigation to work, but am having a hard time getting a brand new USB to work for the audio display update. Just to confirm, these are TWO separate updates? The audio/display update is not included in the navigation update? I have 2020 Hyundai Sante Fe, the navigation updated NP on the SD card. But when I copy the other update to a USB it's telling me it's already up to date. Not sure, if they are referring to the navigation update or this display audio. Since its Gen1 I'm sure what I could check to verify. The FW reads correct on the system for navigation, etc. But there is nothing for audio display to indicate that needs updating. Just trying to understand what the gap is here, why would they say to download a separate update if its included in the navigation one?

    • @CarsMadeSimple
      @CarsMadeSimple  Год назад +2

      No, they are separate updates for separate infotainment systems. Vehicles with navigation ONLY do navigation updates and vehicles without navigation ONLY do display audio updates. No vehicle will have both updates as the navigation updates contain the any and all software/UI changes in addition to the map updates. So because you have already done the navigation updates successfully, you are up-to-date for everything. In the future, you only have to proceed with the navigation updates which will also update the software.

    Nice video man! I have a question. I just got my first car, a 2020 Hyundai Kona SEL that has the very outdated software and I want to update to the new Gen 5 update. However my car does not have navigation equipped. Can cars without navigation still get the new update? It seems that my car still comes up on the Hyundai software computer application so I’m hoping I’ll still be able to upgrade it🤷‍♂️

    • @CarsMadeSimple
      @CarsMadeSimple  Год назад +1

      You would have a display audio update available however that does not change the entire UI like some of the Gen 5 Navigation systems do. I have separate videos here on the channel that show the display audio updates. When I look for the 2020 Kona, it doesn't show up on the list for Display audio as it jumps from 2019 -> 2021. I would guess it is Gen 1, however I would double check before doing an update.

    How did you download the update? I'm in Canada, tried to download the update for 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Gen 5W navigation using the Navigation Updater app and it said, 'Download for this vehicle is not yet available'. Even the list of vehicles doesn't include any 2022 or 2023 Hyundai Tucson models.

    • @CarsMadeSimple
      @CarsMadeSimple  Год назад

      I believe Canada and the US offer different updates or do theirs separately. Also, certain models like the 2023 Tucson Hybrid's and Santa Cruz do not show an update available and this may be due to the fact they already have the latest version from the factory. I see the update for the 2022 Tucson Hybrid available so Canada may just be a little behind the US rollout.
