Condolences on the loss of your sister. Thank you for 40 years of listening pleasure. This song song has been a favorite sine the 80’s when I saw you at Universal Amphitheater.

I tell my Roches stories out of Respect & Desire as big tears do fall. One day I heard Hammond Song on WHFS Bethesda, MD & a Friend who had another Friend w/taste arranged to be in the line at the Wax Museum together to Tape the show in the best, Acoustically structured venue & we'd be together for sound insulation & isolation.. One of the few times, of the hundred or so, I was relieved of my Deck/Stereo Mic gear as I went through the line. No problem as the Friend's Friend had the same exact equipment for clandestine recording when verboten. We were in the sweet spot for a good mix of Performance & Appreciation between Songs - not a drunken crowd screaming in the middle of Songs so beautiful I can only compare this 🎼 to Renaissance, Stairway, Illusion 'Out of the Mist'/'Madonna Blue' LPs & a 3rd cd of Demos- all voiced by Jane Relf .
Anyhow, when they were in sync- pitch perfect Three part Harmonies that could not be ignored- I felt shivers/'goosebumps' as all follicles rose in salute to the electric static created by those 3 sisters & as we were in the last row, dead center for the balance, I could see every Head from the back in front of me to the Stage & each of them/us were quietly turning to the Left & the Right. It was a mathematical impossibility that each person arrived w/ every other person in attendance as an acquaintance/Friend/Lover but a bonding experience was created as All turned side to side & silently conveyed 'Do You FEEL this‽' as the harmonies washed out over the Audience in orgasmic waves.
That building shook during a dynamic sustained release was released controllably as during Hammond -'we, fall A-PAART...' or a passage in Angry Man, The Train, Losing True, Hallelujah Chorus, Love Radiates Around, more but not all. These phenomena need to be distributed in doses.
That was the Another World CD's Tour & so it was full of the best Songs & humor that defined Three Sisters. I was doubly Blessed when I had the opportunity to see them in So Miami at Stephen Talkhouse. I acted like I worked there & was minding the Stage door/entrance & had the time to convey my gratitude re the Wax Museum show & 'You did a bit of "Structural Damage" to that place!' Ie, it shook as if a Memorex commercial w/ Ella Fitzgerald tremor was going on as well as the rippling waves of static electricity and harmonic resonance built to carry voices on waves of Air for a few seconds then break down & do it again.
That was The Roches at their peak as I could tell. It was a good 90 minutes or so & such a blessing to witness.🥀🎶🎼🌹

I am so heart broken finding out about the passing of such a special woman. her poetry and presumed "wall flower" stage presence won me over immediately. from "down the dream" to "can we go home now" Maggie has deeply impacted and my life. my heart goes out to to suzzy,Terre, David and the whole Roche family.

The Roches are absolutely my new favourite band, I’m ashamed that I’ve only just heard of them. Three supremely talented women

Yes! She always had a great range - e.g., "And He shall ..." in the Hallelujah Chorus. I noticed that too.
