Perfect Portable carving tool. I think making a spoon is a good test/ practise. I would try a few of your own designs for wood tent stakes . - good review.
omg ide love to find one. wow that's sweet. I've wanting to learn to carve that would help. manly i want to carve lures. only cause i fish and give away hear to good kids. but i will look around. thanks for sharing. god bless
I have this one and I love it. Does anyone have any suggestions on sharpening or stropping the tools? Seems to dull quickly but does a great job when sharp.
You might check out Ben Orford’s channel. He has a few videos on how to sharpen spoon knives that may help you. While spoon knives are a bit bigger than the tools on this knife the principles are essentially the same.
Joe flowers had that same knife he used the curved edge for hollowing out palm stalks for a blowgun it made the job 100 times easier then using a knife.
Say Heah Rude, Yeah But, The Flexcut Carving Jack you get a Leather Pouch, a Strop Block for all the tools, plus compound. Plus a better edge retention steel. Plus it's Razor sharp out of the box. My friends Splinter came with a few burr's on the blades. Dilly Dilly.,,.p
