- The Barcarolle in F sharp major, Op. 60 is a piece for solo piano by Frédéric Chopin, composed between autumn of 1845 and summer 1846 and three years before his death. Based on the barcarolle rhythm and mood, it features a sweepingly romantic and slightly wistful tone. Many of the technical figures for the right hand are thirds and sixths, while the left features very long reaches over an octave.
This is one of Chopin's last major compositions, along with his Op.61 Polonaise-Fantasie. Performance times average 7-9 minutes.
Your channel is underated
8:00 this is the greatest "coda" in the history of music. Heaven
I am happy to see, after so many decades, this masterpiece is still known. I first heard it many, many years ago, in Paris. Those were different times. I found this piece once more at age 8 in America. We travel, we are reborn, but we never never truly forget....
Yes yes yes, perfect. I need more Chopin ;)
My favourite Chopin piece. Thank you for this. A joy to watch whilst listening.
Yes. The first time I heard it played in person I thought I had died and gone to heaven. If I ever I have a summer home in some beautiful resort I’m naming it “Barcarolle.”
Beautiful piece!
Perfect. One of the best Chopin's baccarolles.
*The only Chopin Barcarolle
@@sigmaballz1469 I think he meant the best version
이현성 probably not
Probably what he meant, but that’s not what the sentence means ahaha
Probably it's a joke.
Love this piece so ❤️❤️❤️
I like the "Christmas" colors with it
The thing that is nice about your channel is that you give exposure to the less played gems.
this is one of the best interpretations I have ever heard of this piece, it's so much more subtle and expressive than most others
Listen to Nelson Freire

Amazing work! Is this a recording or sampled? If it's sampled with libray did you use because is amazing rly xD
I thought it said F sharp minor. I was wondering why it sounded like it was G flat major and nothing in minor lol
4:55-4:58 seems somewhat similar can someone remind me which other piece has the same melody
Chopin Polonaise F sharp minor middle mazurka section
