You could try up-sampling and re-encoding at 4k, then u/l to YT. That'll make the quality better, even with YT's crappy algo. Even 1440p might make it look a lot better. Maybe do a 10second sample unlisted to see how well it goes before doing the whole clip if you decide to do this :P
I'm really happy that it turned out as good-looking as I thought it would when I thought about it. I still haven't found a single tidally locked planet in my game, but when I do, I think I can make it look even better ;)
But of course! I was feeling especially nostalgic for the early days of EVE for a moment... So it was either this (Below the Asteroids), or Home at Last. ; )
Ask and ye shall receive! I took a few higher-quality stills from the last section and uploaded them to twitter: twitter.com/Calmputing/status/1380133637723721728
That's called the Dyson Swarm. Basically, later in the game, you can send two types of items to the star. Either *Solar Sails* or *Small Carrier Rockets* the solar sails can be made to form one or more rings around the star, but they have a limited lifespan. Small Carrier Rockets form the actual scaffolding for the Dyson Sphere, which the Solar Sails then get attached to (which also makes them stick around forever). Hope it helps :)
64,8 GW from the Sphere, and ~12 GW from the Swarm (though it is diminishing by the minute) but... I don't have the graviton lens production set up yet, so I can't really capitalize on it yet...
Yeah, it was removed from the game back in 2012. Several websites have popped up that let you emulate it using the in-game web browser though... which isn't the same, but it's alright. They also removed the Captain's Quarters in 2017.
Aaargh. RUclips's compression really killed the quality of this video... but, I don't think there's anything I can do about it :(
Damn you weren't kidding. Was looking to turn the quality up but was already on 1080p60
it's really only the last clip though... so it may be salvageable. will save the project and see if I can fix it when I get more time.

Just realized this was 7 months ago! Wow! Still amazing!!!!
Aye, I''ve uploading the timelapses as 1440p after this.
... and yeah.. time flies way too fast...
this game is so, so pretty when you get to zoom out and look at the scale of it
Badass man! Love how all the rockets take off at once like that.

Sweet baby Cancri!!
Oh wow some classic EVE music.

Now *that* is cool, great timelapse. I could easily have that last shot as my wallpaper

@@Calmputer Cheers!
That was awesome
That is incredible! I've only got a handful of hours in the game. How did you make the ring of light around the spindle?

Funny how Spindel is the same in german, i assumed you were german ^^
Modern Swedish has a lot in common with German. Plenty of loan-words etc. So that doesn’t surprise me!
Great job! How much power is it outputting?

@@Calmputer You got THIS far without all your production set up? That is actually MORE impressive lol
@@Calmputer nice amount of power, my largest sphere is currently producing 6TW
do you have any blueprints available?
BELOW THE ASTEROIDS!!! OMGGGGGGG MEMORIESSSS
I miss the jukebox.
still got the soundtrack on my phone, though.
@@Calmputer I haven't played since ASCN, has the jukebox been removed?
