I am Student in Netherlands didn’t read the university textbook concerning this cultural Dimensions because of hectic timing but your video helped me thanks and I could successfully write cultural assignments .
Hi Youssef. The statistics were derived from: geerthofstede.com/research-and-vsm/dimension-data-matrix/. And the concepts are derived from the book ''Cultures and Organizations: Software for the Mind''
Hi Andrea. To ensure accuracy, all the data used for the tutorial have been derived from Hofstede's official website. Link: geerthofstede.com/research-and-vsm/dimension-data-matrix/
My country is right at the center in Collectivism and Indivialism. I expected that because when you were explaining the concept. China is long term? Strange then my perception was wrong. Thank u for making it simple & precise for my competitive exam.
Hi Lauren. I don't do live classes at the moment, I am afraid. If I do in future, I will certainly announce it in the channel. However, I am really glad you found my content useful. Please check the full list of tutorials. I've also covered Mintzberg and a couple of other models which you will probably encounter in your course. And if you have other specific tutorial topics to recommend, I will happily add it to my pipeline! 😊😊👍
Good video and you explain the theory well, but when you're labeling charts, although it may be of little importance bc you explain it, could you say the acronyms. I'm taking notes bc RUclips is a far better resource than the books the test makers provide for the SHRM CP/SCP exam. What does the " I" in UAI stand for and for LTOWVS.... My guess is Uncertainty Avoidance Index and Long Term Orientation W Vs. Short???
Is hofstedes Model of culture is still applicable in firms... Can u suggest few companies that follow this model Or if anyone could suggest any readings for the practical knowledge
Hi Niket. The model has a few shortcomings as explained in the tutorial. So it's not in use in its entirety anywhere today. But variations of the model can be seen in use in companies like IKEA. And the model itself was based on the structure of IBM in the 80s.
Many thanks for the content, interesting, I would like to share this video on my research. Kindly advice how can I reference or cite you?. One more thing, If you have time please do us a video on Project Management Institute Body of Knowledge Edition 6 (2013). Best regards Abdul

When I watch videos about this model in each of the presenters feel embarrassed about Femininity and Masculinity point, they emphasize that it is actually not about gender. Why you are doing so? It is a scientific fact that women are more intuitive and think less in a calculative manner than men do.
Hi Raziya. I don't know about others, but I did so because Hofstede himself clarifies what he refers to as masculinity and what he refers to as femininity. So it was important to state his inference.

the background music is panful when using headphones
Thanks for the feedback Trevor. I have reduced the background music to a much lower volume in newer tutorials. Hope they work better for you
