Jinder Mahal is someone I did not expect at all, You can tell by the other interviews that he is a super chill dude & really well-spoken too. This is no different.
He has spoken that he hopes he can eventually become his own man and not be "Indian guy" as his character Which IS an issue imo cuz he clearly wanted to be a different man but ended up coming in, talk crap about America to be hit by the rock, have a match with Rollins, and that's it He is canadian of indian origins, i hope he is able to shine again in his own way again somewhere else
I liked his attitude during the interview. He’s relaxed and breaking things down and you can tell he knows how to explain it for the casual fan. Such a good video and such a good dude to have on the channel for it.
Second the above comment about the cvv interview. I've been very in and out or wrestling over the last 20 years so missed his run, just saw him pop up on top 10 lists, he was very chill and humble in that interview.
Jinder Mahal is one of those type of characters I can see WWE bringing back for cameos or as a producer. I haven’t seen him anywhere thrashing WWE and being bitter for being released. He is so well spoken
Yeah in his CVV interview he had his frustrations with creative (but no wrestler ever hasnt), but overall seemed really happy about his time in WWE, and his run. Hope to see him in the indies, good dude!
I remember people didn't like him during his title reign but I always thought he was cool because he had that really spectacularly flashy entrance! Dude went from being a member of 3MB to being a jacked up world champion! 🏆
I always felt like they should've made him the US Champion instead. He could still have the awesome entrance, still have the Bollywood Boys, still have the same gimmick, still have a push (he was like the lowest tier Jobber they had pretty much before this) and then guys like Styles, Orton, Shinsuke, Owens etc. could've occupied the WWE title scene. People weren't going to accept how silly it was having a total job guy instantly be able to defeat Orton, Styles, Nakamura as WWE Champion even if he cheated. And then when it came time for Survivor Series they yoink'd the title right off him and threw him all the way down the card and it gave off this feeling like everything in the Main Event scene on SD was a waste for the past 6/7 months; it wasn't entertaining and Jinder ended up back in the same spot.
I don't know if you all also feel the same or not but i feel that WWE under Vince was more entertaining....triple H has destroyed the legacy of WWE by releasing almost all the old wrestlers
@@LakshyaTyagi-h3ywhat? We’re supposed to have old 90 year old guys wrestling forever? Saying Triple H ruined everything is objectively wrong, you can’t argue against facts

I always always skip ads that a RUclipsr does themself. But mavens never. Half the time I don't even realise mavens doing one 😅 I love how when Jinder said Nick is still under the ring even when no wrestlers are going to be under the ring, I immediately thought wtf why is he still there? Most other people wouldn't ask that question, I didn't even expect maven to being a former wrestler he prob already knows. But he asked like he was one of us, didn't even say "now I know why, but for the audience can you answer.." he just asked why he would still be under the ring. I love watching this guy's Interviews
As I am watching this, I have to say, that was the best segway into the promo ever lol Also, as always, I love listening to Jinder talk out of character about his experience. He is always grateful and humble.
I love Jinder! People knock his WWE Title reign so much but I loved it. Definitely one of my peak Fandom eras. I even bought his merch shirt to show my support. I wear it to every WWE event I go to.
This match really should've been a One-and-done match many years ago. While it looks awesome and has a big mystique to it.... it just didn't go over well every time that it was used. I think the only time it got somewhat of a reaction was when Batista jumped from one cell to the other. I do like hearing Jinder's take on all of this. Another great video, Maven
@@DCoop-uo2wq Reminds me of the Doomsday Cage match. Seems OK in thought but the execution was terrible. I think what might have helped is mini-cameras on the cages similar to the turnbuckle cam.
@@TheForeverRanger Yeah, why the fuck were there no cameras looking down and in? Even if used sparingly (mostly for the people there to see past the cage) seems like it would have been worth the couple thousand it might have costed (for the equipment, people to set it up, and their time)

Absolutely spectacular interview! So much fun to relive that match and Jinder is fantastic! Jinder's play-by-play is so interesting and nobody does a interview like you Maven! Excellent content, thanks for putting this up
WWE is really huge in India🇮🇳 people don't realise this, Maven I am regular viewer from India and really love your content.❤ I hope wwe thinks Indian wrestler have a chance to be face of comaony by giving them good storyline and not mistreating like how they sacked who Indian diaspora from roster.
We need a good Indian Manager like Paul Heyman who can sell wrestlers who can't talk properly like he did with many wrestlers. . Also no generic indian gimmicks. Khali worked because he didn't have a goofy indian gimmick, heck most indians didn't even know he was Indian till his second week when he spoke on mic and went full madar father on taker pure desi style. If they could find a good Indian manager and focus on the wrestlers persona rather than push an Indian gimmick a lot of Indian wrestlers could make it big. Imagine the kinda gimmick sushil kumar could have, an Olympic medallist turned violent criminal. Many more that can be done. But ita a white people company in a white nation. So we don't count for anything other than as suckers.
The story about Vince bolting right after the final bell is insane like he completely bolted outta the building immediately, not even stayed in the talent parking lot to thank Raj. Bro just straight up left, got on his PJ to the next town with no questions asked. On top of being a shitty person, he also was fucking insane.
Regular guy here. I took a bump at Cody Rhodes school as it's near my house and qt Marshall was a really nice guy and let me live out a childhood dream. I took the first back bump and had to try and pretend I didn't just completely knock the wind out of me. I was no longer excited for Vance to give me suplexes lmao... that was a long week. But worth it. However I'll never go back
The one thing that really pissed me off was there was no payoff for Khali lumbering down and choking Orton, no reason. so between the match being pretty damn infamous to be blunt, there was no reason why Khali was there if not to be disposed off by Orton wanting his head. I almost went to this event in my hometown but money issues.
Maven, I never really liked wrestling before I started watching your channel. Thank you for opening me up to the world of professional wrestling. I always look up matches of yours to watch. Have you ever thought about doing a video of your favorite matches that you participated in?
jinder was not even underappreciated (by the fans) during his run. he was not appreciated at all. and looking back, all of us were wrong. he's going to go down as one of the best in his role, absolute legend
An Indian here! I started watching WWE from mid-2005, unfortunately you had already left (correct me if I am wrong). Before that, I occasionally watched WWE, and I recall seeing you once. Later in the early 2010s, I used to download old events, including your elimination of the Undertaker in the RR. I've followed your RUclips channel for about a couple of years now, and I love your positivity. WWE is popular among kids in India and most of them are casual fans.
@MavenKHuffman IS THEEEE BEST AKA HALL OF FAME WITH THE SMOOTH SPONSOR TRANSITIONS!!!!😂 “would you go outside with no pants on” BOOM sponsor, didn’t see it coming. F**king LOVE your channel !!! I got out of wrestling when my mom died from cancer 2005 - Maven getting me back into it!!!!
Punjabi Prison setup was such a memorable cage. Its a shame that it blocked out a lot of the action inside. Also it was a brilliant move to have Khali make an appearance when it makes sense for him to be there. Like if they have a buried alive match now and Undertaker shows up. Great stuff!
I'll be honest. I'm one of the few fans that like the Punjabi Prison matches. All of them have been fun and servicable as well as cool looking to me. Props to you Jinder. Plust this man helped give AJ Styles arguably his best WWE Title win.
nah jinder one hell of a guy, back in the day fell strange to have him as a champ but he looks like a hell of a worker totally happy for him, he already my boy for a while prob too nice for a business full of crap wish anything but the best for him
It sucked watching on tv as well lol the elimination chamber and hell in a cell is the best type of these matches because the camera guy can get inside the structure without being in the ring.

Lmfao at the ad setup. What a pro
3:15 LMAO That transition is so smooth
The story about Vince bolting right after the final bell is insane like he completely bolted outta the building immediately, not even stayed in the talent parking lot to thank Raj. Bro just straight up left, got on his PJ to the next town with no questions asked.
On top of being a shitty person, he also was fucking insane.
Without the beard... he looks younger and gives me 3MB/2011 vibes.
7:47 I don't know about that, Maven. Lol
Maven should be a wwe announcer. He is so entertaining, and he always makes sure everyone knows what's going on, and he loves the sport
Maven, I never really liked wrestling before I started watching your channel. Thank you for opening me up to the world of professional wrestling. I always look up matches of yours to watch. Have you ever thought about doing a video of your favorite matches that you participated in?
3:17 😂 Come on! Maven and the segues. 🤣 Love Jinder inviting Maven to India and inviting India to show love. GREAT VIDEO! Kudos.
3:12 Maven was planning something else.
That ad transition was so damn funny LMAOOO
Maven with another classic
Maven PLEASE VISIT INDIA..we all Indians watch WWF/WWE from childhood and we are crazy about wrestling. Please come to India ❤😊
5:00 bro you sound just like Squidward
He voiced him
This was sick! So cool to see Jinder on a video!
jinder was not even underappreciated (by the fans) during his run. he was not appreciated at all. and looking back, all of us were wrong. he's going to go down as one of the best in his role, absolute legend
the collab we've been waiting for!
3:11 The king of throwing to the ad read.
Hey Maven, Guys Here
Speak for yourself, I'm not a guy
lol this is great
Haha omg never saw this comment before
Lamest comment ever
@@EricMadison-x5pit keeps working
@MavenKHuffman IS THEEEE BEST AKA HALL OF FAME WITH THE SMOOTH SPONSOR TRANSITIONS!!!!😂 “would you go outside with no pants on” BOOM sponsor, didn’t see it coming. F**king LOVE your channel !!! I got out of wrestling when my mom died from cancer 2005 - Maven getting me back into it!!!!
Wwe really copyrighted this? Petty people man.
This was a great video Maven as always. Fan of your channel from India :)
Punjabi Prison setup was such a memorable cage. Its a shame that it blocked out a lot of the action inside. Also it was a brilliant move to have Khali make an appearance when it makes sense for him to be there. Like if they have a buried alive match now and Undertaker shows up. Great stuff!
Would've been a cool visual of seeing Roman Reigns in a Punjabi prison cage
Reigns vs mahal would've had a memorable stipulation as well
I'll be honest. I'm one of the few fans that like the Punjabi Prison matches. All of them have been fun and servicable as well as cool looking to me. Props to you Jinder.
Plust this man helped give AJ Styles arguably his best WWE Title win.
nah jinder one hell of a guy, back in the day fell strange to have him as a champ but he looks like a hell of a worker totally happy for him, he already my boy for a while
prob too nice for a business full of crap
wish anything but the best for him
Congrats on 500K Maven! Well deserved!
Must suck for the fans watching at ringside, all you see is bamboo
It sucked watching on tv as well lol the elimination chamber and hell in a cell is the best type of these matches because the camera guy can get inside the structure without being in the ring.
Great episode! Need more of this type of breakdown vids if you can.
Here before the “hey maven, guys here” guy comments
Comment is so lame 😒 once it gets no likes it’ll stop
3:10 - the BEST jump to an ad read that I have EVER seen 😂
Happy Mave Day, guys!
Awesome video Maven! Thanks brother, and thanks to Jinder.
Maven video! Yes!
That ad segue was smooth af
