it's only as I have got older I've realised what a great guy Larry was. Warm, funny and a wealth of characters all in his imaginary world. Slack Alice, Everard and Apricot Lil. I love watching him on the old shows and interviews. RIP Larry!

Larry hated upon Benny Hill 'till he was sacked. Benny actually named him in a The Bill parody as "first thug" in joke credits along with Clive James "Dickhead" and Nina Myskow "front/rear end of cow", we know what James/Myskow said but media seems to shroud what nasty Larry had been saying unless he was bitching privately to executives and Benny heard about it?
