Actually it's the opposite, that guy is insanely safe. He has a floatation device on his feet, a floatation device on his waste, being literally pulled out of the water by (you guessed it) a large floatation device in the air that catches wind blowing towards land. It's only concerning when you're doing big jumps (risk of knocking yourself out on a VERY bad landing) or kiting OFFshore winds. At our local beach, kiters in the water means a safer beach, because it's always the kiters rescuing the swimmers.

@@ethansadventure where are u from? here in spain u can get a cuality kite with bar for 800-1000 euros, board 300, arnes 50 and leash 30... but if you take the time and efford you can find cheaper things
ironically over the years I have found that kiting in strong wind is these days much safer than kiting in weak winds. the smaller kites have a much better tolerance to gusts and the lack of... luls means that the kite flys very stable. I currently live in the tropics with nice warm calm water and nicely weak blowing warm wind. Had a few very nasty problems on the water, usually due to dropping winds and having to swim home for hours or kite inversions etc. all of this doesnt happen in strong winds. particularly kite inversions and bar tangles are superdangerous and they almost always just happen in weak winds.
Kitesurfer 👍👍👍👍👍
Without those guys
America would not win world war 1 and 2.
lol, they say ww3 will be fought solely by kite surfers with trained eagles on their shoulders.

If the conditions are so bad, why are you out there?
do you even kite? this is why we get in to it, this is why we train! 🤘😎
@@ale85x I was talking about the reporter. I don't kitesurf (would love to try it), but I do sail and those conditions look fun as all get out!
@@ethansadventure i've used to sail in my youth... this is much better! dont try it, do it!

@@kingprone7846 so true!
FALSE. More wind = safer. Can you drive your car down down the highway with a weedwacker motor?
It's onshore wind. A seasoned kiteboarder knows how to rescue themselves
