Your suggestions are always top notch. I will never forget when I first saw you clean your fridge shelf by shelf. That was a game changer for me, since I always emptied the entire fridge. Why did I not think of that? Continue the great job you do, and have a great week.
Love it! Your lists are helpful as a starting point. I used to have good routines but they have fallen by the wayside as our dynamics have changed. How do you schedule your weekly/monthly/seasonal chores? I am trying to come up with a comprehensive schedule and having a hard time figuring out how to fit monthly and seasonal chores in while still keeping up with daily/weekly activities. I guess for now I can focus on daily, move to the weekly, and add on from there. Thank you so much.
Thank you Jayna! You are so thoughtful and kind. I’m sure if we had the opportunity to meet we would be fast friends! God bless you and your family! 🍂🍁
Your videos are my favourite. I’m in my 30s but didn’t really learn how to clean properly until I got married and started watching your channel several years ago. Thank you for sharing your wisdom!
Thank you Esther! You are so thoughtful and kind. You are doing such important work as a homemaker and I’m encouraged to know that my videos are helping you in some small way. God bless you and your family! 🍁🍂
Hi Robin, I sure did enjoy this video. I had not seen it before. Lots of good information. Things are upside down here with hurricane repairs and now another tropical storm may come in about Wednesday. Hopefully no wind but maybe just rain which we do not need. My roof was replaced last week and interior repairs will start tomorrow. Everything has been moved out of the three rooms that will be repaired. Rachel came and did all that for me. The men will cover the furniture and the floors but it’s gonna be a huge mess. I’m thankful that repairs have been started at least. Scaffolding will be in the living room because there are 22 foot ceilings in there that all have to be scraped down, Sheet rock repaired and painted. On my health, another doctor has been added to my list. Kidney specialist. Boo. I have been feeling pretty well though. One thing I have started doing that has been so much fun as I’m doing the five minute a day Declutter that clutter bug has going. I’m not doing what she’s doing but just doing my own thing. This has been miraculous. I set my watch for five minutes and I don’t do any more than that. This is the eighth day and I have already cleaned out bags of stuff. I’ve gone through all of my chest of drawers and all my desk drawers, Rebecca and Melissa are doing it with me and every day we send each other a before picture, and after picture and a picture of everything we got rid of. It’s actually fun and so easy and I can’t believe the results. So good to see you today. Love in Christ
Hi Donna! I’m so glad things are underway with all of the repairs. Hang in there! It will be over soon. 🙈😅 I love your decluttering challenge! Such a great idea and fun! That would a good idea for my channel- I’ll have to give that some thought. 🤔😄 I am still praying about your health and it really sounds like you are feeling better! 🙏🙌🙏 God bless you my sweet friend! ✝️🩵
Thank you for mentioning a 5 min declutter. We can all do something for 5 mins . At the end of the month that’s 2 1/2 hours. I’m going to try this ! Tx
Hi Robin! I’m so glad you showed us this video because I didn’t have the opportunity to watch it before. It could not have come at a better time because, as you have said in your introduction, September does feel like the start of a new year, and your video is a great source of inspiration and motivation for this new beginning! 😊 Even though homemaking is hard work, you make it look so simple and achievable that it always encourages me to get started again if I had given up, or to keep going if I’m on track with my tasks. What struck me the most are your frequent encouragements, throughout the video, to be flexible with our routines, and to adapt them to our current situation. For maybe one or two years, now, I have searched on RUclips different methods for homemaking, and after having tried out many of them, I must say that the way you establish your routines and carry them on suits me very well! For me, thanks to you, the search is over! I adopted your routines, and I remain so grateful to you! God bless you! 💖💕✝
Thank you so very much Monique! Your kind sweet comments always encourage me and it fills my heart to know that I’ve helped you in some small way. Big hugs to you! God bless you and your family! 🍁🍂

Thank you for another wonderful video Robin. I hope you and your family are doing well. Your videos are always so enjoyable and full of wisdom for which I am thankful. I began my homemaking journey 15 years ago as a newlywed and I love to continue learning from you as well as this wonderful community.

Great video! Years ago I started following the FlyLady and used her system faithfully. As the years passed, I have adapted it to fit my home and my needs. It’s just my husband and me, so no need to do laundry every day! I recently injured my left hand, arm and shoulder. Of course I’m left handed, so at the present time a lot of my routines have gone to pot! Bless his heart, hubby tries (and does a good job!) but I’m anxious to get back into my routines!
Hi Debbie! I’m sorry about your injury and know how frustrating it is to be out of commission. It sounds like you are blessed with a great husband! I’ll be praying for your recovery. Thanks for watching and God bless you and your husband! 🙏🍂🍁
Great advice. I can keep all of my clothing out all the time. In the five-drawer chest, I have my desktop on, I have my sleepwear in the first drawer, tank, and short sleeve shirts in the second drawer, long sleeve shirts in the third drawer, shorts and cropped pants in the fourth drawer, and long pants in the fifth drawer. I hang my coats, long dresses, and long skirts. Not sure what to put in my two other five-drawer chests. In the past, Daniel's clothing was in one and our towels were in the other. Daniel liked to share a room when he was little. Now as a teenager, he likes his privacy. The new house will have linen closets in the bathrooms to hold the towels. Maybe I can put my paper books in them. They make up my standing desk. I've got two laser printers on the top of the left side of my desk. One is black and white and the other is color. The third one which I place on the right holds my skincare, hair care, personal care, hair accessories, and jewelry. Debating on adding a lingerie chest. It can hold my bras, socks, and underwear. The top is perfect for my sunrise alarm lamp and a landline phone. I still don't have an income yet. I enrolled in Step Up Construction which teaches women in West Virginia for free carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. They help with resume writing and job placement. More skills mean more job opportunities and I can use those skills at home. I likely need to build a house for the three of us to get the large closet in my room and a large pantry (I plan to can, ferment, and vacuum seal foods so I need lots of space for glass jars. I found seven discount metal house kits that have those in them. No houses here have that. I hope to attend their Spring class as I didn't have enough pants for a school week in time for the Fall class. I'm allergic to polyester, nylon, rayon, and satin. I have two work-appropriate pants in the correct length. I'd like at least 3 more to make up a school week. The rest I tried on need hemmed. I wouldn't have had that done in time. Rehabilitation wants me to do an eye exam and a Psych evaluation. They told me they have a program that magnifies things so the visually impaired can drive during the day. I can't pass the vision test to drive normally. I plan to have blue appliances, a butcher block counter, and dark brown cabinets in the kitchen and laundry rooms. Blue and brown especially the dark shades are my favorite colors. I don't follow trends. I go with what I like.
Hi Jean! Your plans sound wonderful and I’m so glad you will be taking the courses you mentioned soon! Those are great skills and are always in demand. I think that is amazing! If it is not too late I would consider starting right away. Don’t worry about your wardrobe. Three pairs of pants will be fine. You can wear them more than once before washing them over the weekend. The sooner you enroll the closer you will be to achieving your goals! You’ve go this and I’ll be here cheering you on! 🤩👍🩵
@@FaithandFlour I only have two pairs and I tend to spill things on my clothing. Didn't have enough money for another and the rest I tried on need hemmed as they are too long on my proportionally short legs. Might take another look at see if they have them in petite lengths. The Fall class already started and they were trying to fill the last 3 seats. Time flows by quickly for me. It would be great if I got on the Ocular program to drive myself to class.
Love this video. Thanks for letting me watch it. I have learned so much from you and my mom, of course. You have helped me simplify for my life style. Thank you.
Hi Robin, I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I am definitely going to incorporate your plan for keeping on top of the chores. Much appreciated and you too have a great week. 😊🙋♀️.

Hi Robin, so good to see your face and hear your voice again. I’m so happy for this video - I often ask myself WWRD? in regards to chores and home management. This year has been a struggle to relearn and adapt my former routines in a new house. Along with other life things that have left me completely meh. Thankfully, it’s September and like you said September is much more of a fresh start for me than New Year’s. My question for you is what is your favorite wet mop these days and why? We too now have engineered wood floors and I stress myself out not wanting to ruin them, and also wanting to clean them more regularly, and also not wanting to ruin my back 😂 A happy and blessed Sunday to all ❤
Thank you Terrri! I can certainly relate - it can take a while to adjust your routine to your new home. I really hope my ideas will help you! I think I’ve tried just about every mop on the market. 🤣 So, my favorite for all our floors - and especially hardwood is: www.amazon.com/dp/B08ZB59MZX?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamzfaitha05-20&creativeASIN=B08ZB59MZX&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.2YBSNVFDEUGBV&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_m_asin This spin mop lets you control how much water you use and the microfiber mop head is detachable and machine washable. It’s the perfect size for getting into all the corners and you can use whatever cleaning solution you like - or just water. I hope you will like it too! I hope you are enjoying your new home! Congratulations and God bless! 🍂🍁
@@FaithandFlour Thank you ❤ We’re loving our new home and town. My husband and I never imagined we would live here, and yet it instantly felt/feels like home. God is great, and if we can just be patient enough, everything comes to us in His time. Last night I looked out our bedroom window at the crescent moon and thought, “how is this my life?” 🙏🏼 🕊️ ❤
Your house is spot less… I already follow many of these rules… but you have definitely inspired me to keep my house as clean as yours…. But I have two kids, 6 and 4 So it can be hard…. But I am on it😊
Thanks for the tips! Growing up we didn’t have a routing and us kids were responsible for cleaning but weren’t really taught how. It was just so what we’re told when we’re told and now I have a hard time keeping on top of things. I want it to be less stressful for my family now and I get to stay home so I can work on it. My mom had to work full time and I know it was hard. Also we never dusted. I have tried buying a duster but I’m not sure how to clean it? I tried washing it but it’s not as fluffy anymore. What do you do with the duster when it’s full of dust? Also with the steam mop do you let it cool and then change it out or do you keep the pad on for multiple uses? Thanks!!

Thank you.

🤣 So, my favorite for all our floors - and especially hardwood is: www.amazon.com/dp/B08ZB59MZX?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamzfaitha05-20&creativeASIN=B08ZB59MZX&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.2YBSNVFDEUGBV&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_m_asin
This spin mop lets you control how much water you use and the microfiber mop head is detachable and machine washable.
Last night I looked out our bedroom window at the crescent moon and thought, “how is this my life?” 🙏🏼 🕊️ ❤
@@terrirojaswow it sounds like a brand new chapter. Enjoy!
@@theresabrown1272 Thank you, indeed it is and a welcomed one too 😊
Your house is spot less… I already follow many of these rules… but you have definitely inspired me to keep my house as clean as yours…. But I have two kids, 6 and 4
So it can be hard…. But I am on it😊
Great video! Thank you for sharing it again! And by the way, your hair looks beautiful!!! 💯🩷🪴🏡

Thanks!!
Great to catch up on that video again 😊 spurred me on thanks 😅
I’m so glad you found it helpful Patricia! I hope you are having a great start to your week! God bless! 🍁🍂

Thanks for the inspiration , Robin. Would you please share the info for tour headboard/bedframe. Thank you!
Hi Corey! Our headboard is the Elliot Curved Upholstered Headboard from Pottery Barn. I don’t have a direct link for it, but I think you can still find it on their website. The fabric we chose is called Chateau Basketweave Ivory.
Thanks for watching and have a blessed week! 🍁🍂

It converts to a hand-held and I love it!
Unfortunately the duster I used in the video is no longer available. I’ll be looking for a good alternative and will hopefully be able to suggest one a a video soon.

I could fit my house twice in your garage! Was that originally a barn?
Our house could fit in there too! 😂
It is a barn or hanger that was build by the previous owner of our home for his business. We use it as a garage for our car and RV. 😊
Thank you for watching! 🍂🍁

Thank you for watching Shaina! 🍂🍁
Hi Robin
I would like to know your hair growth secret and how you maintain it. Do you use any special oil, shampoo to maintain. Love those curls. Thanks
Hi Renee! I just use Function of Beauty shampoo and conditioner. I don’t use any additional products other than hairspray (I like Kenra Volume spray).
Thank you and God bless! 🍁🍂
What stick vac is that and is it great? Can’t afford to replace my Dyson but can’t find a good substitute.
Hi Alice! Here is the link to my vacuum: www.amazon.com/dp/B08CC3GWVJ?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamzfaitha05-20&creativeASIN=B08CC3GWVJ&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.2YBSNVFDEUGBV&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_m_asin
I am very happy with mine and it is currently $370. Not cheap, but less than a Dyson with comparable quality. 😊🍂🍁
Microfiber cloud is perfect to use when your are cleaning, but remember always to use rubber gloves when you are using microfiber cloud.
I’m not familiar with that product. Thanks for the suggestion! 😊🍂🍁

New subscribers - no criticism still maybe something worthwhile thinking about: not only moms clean their homes. I am really curious: why are you only addressing moms?
Thank you for subscribing! Welcome! I made this video for the Get Organized HQ Virtual Conference 2023. The majority of attendees were moms and because I’m a mom I framed it from that perspective. I agree- these principles are for anyone who manages a home. 😊
