Thank you Roy. Yes, this one was made in very difficult weather conditions - I nearly gave up at one point! Hope you have a good week too. Take care, Paul.

Hello Paul - greetings from Poland
I love your "exploration vlogs". You never know what you are going to find. This was no exception. A fascinating story about the lost railway. Shame about the weather and the lack of access into either of the forts.
The walk through the park at the beginning of this most excellent video was lovely, especially the delightful fountain and tea pavillion. The ferry ride was fun. Exactly the same type of ferry that runs from Sandbanks near Poole in Dorset, called The Swanage Chain Ferry.
I will take your advise and look at Phil in Cornwall video. Thanks so much for making this fascinating video. Again, the still photographs were awesome. Thanks so much for taking me along

HI Michael, yes, the Torpoint Ferry is similar to the Sandbanks one; I have been on that too, but not covered that area yet on my channel. Thanks so much for your kind words and for commenting. Cheers, Paul.

Hi Paul. Thoroughly enjoyed watching your video this evening. Good work. Thanks too for the namecheck! Much appreciated. Just one comment on your location for the terminus. That lay-by was not the terminus. You need to continue along the road, round the 90 degree left hand bend (by the entrance to Tregantle Fort) and you'll then come across a Cornwall Council car park on the left. That was the Tregantle Gun Battery (until the council destroyed it) and the terminus was on the far side of that next to the small lane that goes off to the left. Details (maps/photos etc) can be found in my video on the Tregantle Military Railway. Otherwise, a good video and an interesting watch. I shall certainly be checking out some more of your Cornish excursions. Keep up the good work.👍

Thank you Phil! Thanks for the comment and additional information and corrections. It is strange how this little fascinating and incredible railway is not more widely known about. Yes, I will be doing more videos from Cornwall - my last one was from Poldhu on the Lizard a couple of weeks ago. Thanks again, Paul 👍🙂

Thank you! Another little hidden place in Cornwall in what is known as 'The Forgotten Corner' (South East Cornwall). It (usually) has much fewer tourists than other parts of Cornwall, but is as equally as beautiful. Thanks again, Paul.

I've got a book on the Tregantle military railway, which describes it in full. I visited the area when the engine shed was still there, a shame that it was removed. The "Lynher" river is also known locally as the "St. Germans" river, after the delightful village near to the head of the estuary.

Yes, it is so sad that the engine shed at the bottom of the incline has gone.
I think I do remember seeing it there sometime ago.
It is a wonderful, and almost undiscovered part of the Duchy.
      Thanks for the comment.
      Paul

Hi Paul, this was a wonderful video and I enjoyed it a lot, if you tube gave us a favourite channel filter, your channel would certainly be amongst those favourites. 😊 sending my best to you

Thank you so much Stephen. I'm glad you liked it. This one was difficult to make because of the weather, but hopefully viewers will get something from it. Thanks for commenting. Take care, Paul.

Thanks Debs, yes, shame so many lines and stations have closed. Like many others, the one in Brixham would be really useful now to reduce traffic congestion to & fro Paignton. I did walk part of the old Brixham railway in the first video I did on Brixham for my channel, but I did not do the town end of it. I don't think there are any remains of it left now, sadly. It was high above the harbour at Furzeham. Thanks again, and thanks for watching. Take care, Paul.
