What a strong supportive woman. I love the way George keeps deflecting from himself onto mum to shine the light on her. I think George is a complex, talented, creative genuine, kind human being. He should have won Im a celeb 22.
When you were young I was shocked at what you were doing with makeup and clothing and wrote you off as crazy. Now after all these years and I have been following your life now I actually love to listen to you and your honesty. To tell everyone what your life was like shows what kind of person you are. Most of all I love how you treat your mother. Stay true to yourself Boy George you came out the other end. Good for you. You are funny and I love to hear you laugh. I am 82 years old and wish it hadn’t taken me so long to enjoy your music.
Very happy to see B.George out of the doom of drugs, and he is back for the fans around the world for those who like or love him of his songs. Bless you Boy George.
For sentimental reasons I have always now I enjoy Boy George's Music I'm a 58 year old man I'm 1 year older than him but I have to say that this was quite an impressive interview I love the way he respects his mother that's very important
Nothing makes me happier then seeing such a loving mother-son relationship. My Mom means the absolute world to me, & seeing George & his Mom so close is heartwarming! You can tell their relationship is incredibly close, & she’s one proud Mom. Love you George!☮️💟
I am so glad his mum accepts him and his life....nothing worse then family conflict...he is a treasure to us all....glad his family sees him that way too....
This interview has undertones of cynicism.Continually asking about the dark side of George and his family. Most people would snap at the bit and lose face on camera. He is so professional and let's it wash off without a blink. He is in it for the long ride.Go George you are one of a kind
I agree but I do think that they knew what the subject matter was going to be and were prepared for that. I mean George doesn’t normally bring his mother to interviews with him.
Most of the time when you grow up around hard working parent or parents it tends to help you out later in you own life and you have to have a great sense of humor about life and to not take life so seriously sure you have bad days but there’s someone out there that is having worse day’s.I tend to believe that this is what helped him cope with his life.
Shirley here, I always loved him and his music. I am so glad he survived drugs. I though sure they Seoul have found him dead in his home. But he survived.
Watching this today where George is in im a celebrity get me out of here finals and My Winner 2022 go on Georgey Boy your due a crown love you 💋⚘💋⚘💋⚘💋⚘
Dinah O'Dowd ( boy George mom ) is absolutely down to earth !! She is a lovely nice looking lady who knows how to raise 6 children & be who they want to be . Look at her son Boy he is now a millionaire cos she let him be But had rules in her house which made him very smart.. Kudos to Dinah, much love to you 💞
That day he was sweeping the street, a photographer got on his nerves, and George started beating him over the head with the broom .... funniest clip ever!
I LOVE YOU GEORGIE! HAT I MISSED YOU AT ART PARK IN BUFFALO! IM GOING TO SEE YOU PERFORM BY HOOK OR BY CROOK! SOMEWHERE SOMEDAY! OR ONE OF YOUR SONGS SHALL PLAY AT MY FUNERAL!
I'm just catching up on the George O'Dowd story. Well done; both to you and your mother. Sorry George! But your story inspires! Best get used to it! I either didn't know, or didn't make a big deal about the drug episode. I just saw this very flamboyant mentor on "The Voice" named "George", but didn't quite make the connection 'till now. Again, sorry George! But you're "inspirational". I would love to run across you some time by chance, buy you a meal and a pint at your discretion, and hear about the world through George's eyes. (I'm not sure what I'd do with an autograph! I'd rather spend some time with "the man" who is George).
I wonder if Georgie’s mom liked the soap opera RYANS HOPE, also is that where she got her daughters name from that soap opera.? Siobhan very Irish name & that soap was a Irish soap but a really great one that I watched too, a lot of people watched it as I’m sure it played in Ireland
I’d like to Dinah’s book. She had a hard life poor lady. I am Sure she had wonderful times too with a lot of laughter but I bet she had hard sad times too. She comes across very nice and straight. What u see is what you get
Karma is beautiful song I can see why it got to #1. BUT sadly overpopularity of a song ruins is beauty. I'm glad Victims wasnt overplayed. Of course Victims is better. It's a ballad and those always win😂. Ballads are heartfelt
I'd like to be mates with George, we could make some records and go out and have fun and dance round the living room. We'd probably fall out a lot though as we both say what we think and don't suffer fools, we'd sit and watch people go by and take the piss out of them all haha!! 😅😅
Interesting how he manages to deftly keep the momentum going even with that interviewers insufferable statements and open ended personal crudely proferred intrusive questions. 3 strangely positioned odd individuals with totally non divergent personalities edging all the while preening of sorts.
This family needs healing. The brief akward interrupting between them is proof they really haven't completely healed and really delt with it all. Which is sad. Dinah has a fixer mentality which is common amongst women who had questionable fathers. It's a massive inferiority complex. Where they feel as though they can be loved by compromising ones self love for the approval of trying to fix others. A common thing you Will hear these women say: " I thought if id stay he'll change".
If George Michael had more support like Boy he might still be alive - miss him!
Love Boy George too, always have .
A wonderful mom who raised an open-minded son. Both so down to earth.
What a strong supportive woman. I love the way George keeps deflecting from himself onto mum to shine the light on her. I think George is a complex, talented, creative genuine, kind human being. He should have won Im a celeb 22.
Never seen this interview before , I have a lot more respect for George now , & love his mum.
Georgie is an excellent singer and speaker. I love all his songs.
What a wonderful mother....you are a very fortunate George....
♡♡ a man who respects his mom.
Jennifer Hodge not only respects loves her and is fiercely protective of her as well
Yes, luckily he was blessed with a mom that deserved his respect. Sadly, not all moms do...

Strong, Compassionate , Capable and Loving.
Someone worth knowing.❤️
Very happy to see B.George out of the doom of drugs, and he is back for the fans around the world for those who like or love him of his songs. Bless you Boy George.
Agent D3 #19 Actually, according toan interview in 2014, he was NOT sober yet. He then said he got sober in 2008...
Honest man with irish roots, what else has to be said.......
I love this man so much witty intelligent and totally honest
Gosh, I just love this man's personality.

He looks so much like his lovely mum .
What a lovely interview
Mom and son sit down and give the best interviews. It's heartwarming to see a son cherish his mum the way that George cherishes his. ;-) ;-) ;-)
I love how Boy George just keeps on going! Love him!
George looks alot like his mom. He is still good looking as he ages even better. You mom is great.

She was a good interviewer
Quando è bella la mamma George gli somiglia tantissimo 💋❤️

The rules made him smart? How I'm curious.

9:34 The irony of that statement. George is incredibly astute and sharp witted.
Love this
Very nice people.
We love you George

Oh I love this Lady
mis respetos para mi mamá suegrita de boy George. atentamente su nuera jajaja😍
Sorry George, you look almost identical to your father. Your mother is a wonderful lady!
Ryan's Hope was an American soap. The O'Dowds are of Irish heritage.
'I am a bit of a bitch' Oh George such modesty lol
I’d like to Dinah’s book. She had a hard life poor lady. I am
Sure she had wonderful times too with a lot of laughter but I bet she had hard sad times too. She comes across very nice and straight. What u see is what you get
💚
He has a good Irish mammy
..how nice it would be to see George Michael...Freddie mercury...MJ
..and them like this ..sad
I'm positive his cleaning up (after this) made the last years of her life much happier. She certainly deserved that, didn't she?
I wish radio stations would play more of his songs as they seem stuck on Carma Cameleon. His BEST song EVER was Victims
Karma is beautiful song I can see why it got to #1. BUT sadly overpopularity of a song ruins is beauty. I'm glad Victims wasnt overplayed. Of course Victims is better. It's a ballad and those always win😂. Ballads are heartfelt
Time
I live him
I'd like to be mates with George, we could make some records and go out and have fun and dance round the living room. We'd probably fall out a lot though as we both say what we think and don't suffer fools, we'd sit and watch people go by and take the piss out of them all haha!! 😅😅
Georges Granny was in the same School. 😱
Mom 🤣😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Wasn't his brother later diagnosed with schizophrenia?
Not in front of your mother😆💜💜💜
This isnt a sober George ......
Always one know all 😆 like you'd have the inside scoop
Living is Dubln is enought....besides
Interesting how he manages to deftly keep the momentum going even with that interviewers insufferable statements and open ended personal crudely proferred intrusive questions. 3 strangely positioned odd individuals with totally non divergent personalities edging all the while preening of sorts.
Blondie had to repeat two times: You're not so famous anymore now are you?
This family needs healing. The brief akward interrupting between them is proof they really haven't completely healed and really delt with it all. Which is sad.

Omg this lady doing the interviewing is a Debby Downer...She brings up some awful situations. ..
Poor George this was horrible to watch. It was not George and his mum it was just mum. I felt for him, the interviewer snubbed him quite clearly
His mother was promoting her book "cry salty tears" he was there for support.
What interview were YOU watching?
Still snorting.
Love George. Intelligent, funny and talented. ❤
