honestly clannad was a bit too confusing. There were parts that i did cry, but it wasn't as sad as what most ppl seem to say. IMO this was sadder, cos it made me cry in a shorter period of time, while clannad took entire season for me to cry once.
I do agree I would've cried if I liked lucky star but I don't as this part was touching it was masked by the fact that this show relies on comedic relief and making fun of or paying homage to other anime yes this part was sad but I've seen it one too many times in other anime but clannad makes things unique I understand it's confusing at first that's why I recommend that you watch an explanation video it's not a guarantee it'll make u like the show more or less but it'll clear up a lot of things

I also want to add that the characters in Lucky Star are much easier to relate to. Also there's far less angst in Lucky Star. Twilight took what 'could' have been a good story and loused it up. Lucky Star does what it does and does it right.

Ya know, this scene used to make me cry, but I've since watched and played every bit of Clannad, plus Clannad ~After Story~ and Tomoyo ~After~ and seen and played every bit of Kanon, and watched Grave Of The Fireflies (required viewing for anime fans), and I've gotten to a point where even the most gut-wrenching, emotional, melancholy scenes seem like comedy when compared to what I've gone through...
