    Hey guys 🙂
In an effort to keep the comments here positive, I deleted a comment someone left because a lot of people were responding to it and several were not too kind. As much as I appreciate people coming to my defense, I also want to be respectful of one another. So, I’ve posted the original question below along with my answer for anyone who is possibly wondering the same thing.
On a side note, I have my comments set to be approved by me before they go live. I do this so I can read EVERY comment that is left but I never delete comments, even the ones that are really rude to me. But in this case, I’ve deleted it because I don’t want people to continue attacking the gentleman that originally asked the question.
You can see the original comment below and my response to it.
    Original question:
Quick question you keep on playing Ren songs to new people do you get paid every time by youtube? if so i think its a con why don't you just direct them to Rens channel i've noticed a few reactors are doing it now looks dodgy to me mate.
    My response is below:
No. I do it to introduce people to Ren because I really like his music and want to share it with others. Nearly every reaction video I've done to Ren, The Big Push, and anyone else associated with him is not monetized by me. Just in case you don't know how all this works, I'll break it down for you.
Anytime a creator/RUclipsr uploads a video to RUclips, the video and the audio is automatically scanned to see if the content already exists and if it does, it notifies the original creator/RUclipsr (REN).
The original creator/RUclipsr is given a few options:
    1. Acknowledge the new content (my reaction) and block it for copyright and RUclips automatically takes the video down.
    2. Acknowledge the new content (my reaction) and allow it to be posted and monetized with no restrictions and the NEW creator/RUclipsr (me) would be allowed to collect the money.
    3. Acknowledge the new content (my reaction) and allow it to be posted and monetized and share/split the revenue with the NEW creator/RUclipsr (me).
    4. Acknowledge the new content (my reaction) and allow it to be posted and monetized and the original creator/RUclipsr will claim 100% of the revenue from my reaction video.
So far, of ALL the Ren and The Big Push reactions I've done, only about 1 out of every 10 I get to collect monetization. ALL THE REST have gone back to the original creator/RUclipsr. I'm literally making pennies from these videos but I don't care. My goal isn't to make money off of them, yes, I might be able to grow my audience from them, but by no means am I trying to take money out of their pockets. Many musicians and creators actually see surges in their careers because of reaction channels. Because our audiences may reach new people that the original creators/RUclipsrs might never reach. We are basically helping them to create new fans and consumers of their content.

Thanks for posting this message. but to tell you the truth it didn't bother me in the slightest. I've seen REN a few times in Brighton and following REN for 5 years and me and my friends are so glad your exposing REN to your followers. Earlier this year our boxing club done a tour of America and just before we left i had another reactors followers abusing me on youtube so i paid a company in London to find out who and where he is. I got in touch with him to set up a boxing match between us then he could upload it on the reactors channel and any money made he could give to a charity of his choice. Guess what? he didn't want to do know.Trust me he was far worse than the ones on your channel so no problems from my end good luck Melvin..

I only come here , and to other channels, to 'voyeur' fresh people reacting to Ren, I guess in a way seeing their reaction to a first, is a new first for me and they all seem to see, think or offer something new, that I missed before. Keep going please, more Kirsten Brock, one of the few that also reacts with her eyes, she can feel it too.

This is the kind of artistry that gives "broken" people hope. Ren, through this performance piece, has become to a lot of people exactly what he stated in the song, "...the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope". So powerful, so impactful. The song structure itself is incredible. It starts off as a battle between his positive (Angel) and negative (Demon) aspects, the negative then makes an overpowering last ditch effort to reign supreme, tearing free and trying to take control, but ultimately fails as the final act, being the "God" aspect, emerges Triumphant, though still acknowledging and accepting that it will ALWAYS be a battle because we are all "a coin with 2 different sides". It's a beautifully cathartic and raw musical masterpiece. Ren is truly special. Welcome to the Ren rabbit-hole, it's a trip worth taking. This was the 4th take he did and yes, it was done live. Wait until you hear some of his other stuff, especially his storytelling ("The Tale of Jenny & Screech"). You haven't even touched the breadth of this young man's talent yet.
The pig character (imo) represents the doctors and therapist who have essentially butchered him for years through their misdiagnosis. It's the system that focuses on peddling more pills than on genuinely trying to help to fix broken/ill people, caring more about profit than individual health. The bastardization of the hippocratic oath. He literally thought he was going insane because he was told repeatedly that the pain and symptoms he was experiencing were all in his head (psychosomatic). He had reached a point where he literally resigned himself to dying before he reached 30. Turns out he had Lyme's disease the whole time and it ran rampant through his system for 10 years, even to the point of causing brain damage. Ironically, if Ren hadn't gone through what he has, would he have ever made the art he has? There's no question that his suffering has shaped his music and now he's finally getting the recognition he undoubtedly deserves. I've said it before, I'll say it again, Ren is special.

This is among the best Hi Ren reactions I have seen. Blind reactions are ideal for Hi Ren. Of the people I introduced to Ren only those who knew next to nothing about Ren were able to really appreciate the performance while those whom I tried to explain Ren to showed far less enthusiasm. If I want to introduce anyone to Ren now I tell them almost nothing. It works wonders. Thank you.

I love watching people watch this video. It's almost like the response of the reactor says more about them than it does about Ren. It's such an interesting mirror. You did great. Love it when people start nodding in agreement with "good" Ren and pouting or shaking heads at "bad" Ren. The empathy response is somehow satisfying. Maybe that says more about me. 😅

Sad thing is in America doctors here don't recognize Lyme as a real illness because insurance would be through the roof and the doctors lose their kickbacks and sometimes their job over doing that diagnosis. With the exception of a few networks that have their own issues.

  • @GoodGirlGone
    @GoodGirlGone Год назад +3

Hi been watching a few of your guest reactions, they are great!! But just want to help you in correcting some of your information.
Ren got stem cell treatment for his Lyme’s when he was 26/27, and got good enough to move to Brighton, where the Sam and Big Push stuff happened…. But because of the misdiagnosis and incorrect treatments, he still has a lot more wrong with him.. coupled with Lyme’s, which is not 100% cured. This treatment in Canada is to help with that, and he did a go fund me, as he budgeted on 3 months, but when the dr’s saw him, they said it will take longer.
Also to note he wrote all his songs, and did their videos before Hi Ren, and before he went to Canada.. as he knew he will be “unavailable” for some time. Except during this time, he brushed off an old song (Suicide) to add to the album (the song is about his struggles), but he always thought it was incomplete.. but then in the Knox Hill interview he talked about Joe, and then decided to add the last part to the song, after it was already mastered and ready to drop. He then added For Joe later and then decided to add Money Game 3 and Murderer (dropping next week) to the album (he was in the UK last month to film MG3)… but before he left for Canada everything that should have been on his album Sick Boi was already filmed (he just kept adding stuff after he got noticed with Hi Ren).
Please keep introducing new people to Ren.. I really enjoy these videos.

my connection to this song is only the similarity of struggle,,
i'm undiagnosed autistic and have struggled with being a bit weird my whole life i had to start my own business because i had problems holding a job with sleep disorders and high ethics.. but managed to stay in business the last 40 years without needing to advertise or even carry a card, i run a lawn and tree service, a 1st responder thru 40 years of hurricanes in fla ,and do all phases of construction and kind of an inventor on the side, after six years of development i figured out a disaster response product that could help millions worldwide .. then my insurance agent forgot to post a payment back in 2020 and the state took everything i worked the last 40 years for away .. stuck at home like a prisoner i came online and saw people helping others so i started making videos explaining what i was. trying to do to get help, and found out if the platform your uploading to doesn't promote you your just talking to your phone, and then i see stuff like this and get jealous because i will never write a song that gets peoples attn like this. so my chances of bringing my ideas to the world are fading. and it's scary as hell to think of all that could be, but it may all be lost because one person forgot to hit enter on there keyboard.. and my chances of succeeding alone are close to those of getting out of quicksand alone..

Ren is telling us THE truth. This is the reason why almost all people are speechless... because it's touching our souls that can not be described with words. God is real as it is evil ... and is this internal battle that separates us from angels and demons. To whom we are listening? An angel has only one wish, and that is going to the spiritual world. Love

Really enjoy your reactions! Just a couple clarifications I've gleaned from several interviews. While you're correct about his guitar education, "two lessons that didn't go well", Ren studied Musical Performance at Bath Spa University. He also suffered from ADHD and clinical depression as a child and young adult, which predated his Lyme disease. The medications from the misdiagnoses would have exacerbated these and added new problems like psychosis. It's a miracle he's as functional as he is.

This is art of transcendent beauty and an *important* song. Artists often struggle with imposter syndrome.
There’s a movie starring Olivia Munn called “Violet” that rings of this and was a transformative experience for me… just as this song also resonates.
As a person who’s never been able to escape imposter syndrome and negative self-talk, *realizing* that I can exert the strength that destructive voice questions-strength that I *know* I have-was sooo important.
It takes time to push past the negativity-to make your own voice stronger, but if anyone out there is struggling with this, please please please *know* that you can do it.
*Know* that I believe in you… but you don’t need me to-just like you don’t need the shroud of doubt that feels first of protection and then as a prison.
You are *stronger* than that voice.
You are stronger than you can *possibly* know…
until you push back with softness or aggression-your choice.

Ren is the Original "Bardcore Genre Bender" The Master Bard himself ( Shakespeare ) would have understood exactly where Ren was coming from. Ren isn't just a songwriter but rather a Performance Art Master who blends music and character acting from all the styles over the last 500 years and makes it modern and relatable to all generations even if normally you may not be a fan of whatever genre he is currently performing. The Ren Rabbit Hole is Deep and Powerful!

Um No I'm American and I don't hear a cool riff and am like OMG. I hear how he puts it together what he's saying and how he's saying/sharing his Music/art! And if you don't consider this music than what is it? And what is music to you. This ISN'T your typical song or style of a specific type of music! It's to me performance art. Which is still music he's using music as background to tell a Story. Best example other than High Ren is The Tale of Jenny and Screech full version. It's a very powerful performance art piece. That further shows Rens musical ability while doing a play/acting out the story. You'll probably ignore this. But would love to hear a response to this. Have a blessed Summer

Lol no I’m not American and I’m totally impressed by Ren. He plays all kinds of guitar. And his vocals are amazing. His ability to write also blows me away. Check out his busking…..street music. And he raps - also impressive. Jimmy Hendricks could play guitar……

Oops….forgot the other instruments including piano. Check out ‘For Joe’ - the song he wrote for his friend who took his own life.
