OK- after getting my new (used) 2023 G70- I discovered the following things: 1) nothing happens in accessory mode the car has to be running 2) if the button doesn't seem to work after programming then you need to open the back panel on the garage opener unit on the ceiling, and press the learn button, then go back to the car and press the button you just programmed. My one garage learned OK, whereas the second garage required me to open then garage opener unit and press the learn button.
Thank you! This helped me with my Kia EV9 and it was the only thing that worked. Car On fully, program mirror, press Set button on garage door opener, back to mirror and press the same button for 2 seconds a few times. Then it finally worked!
Initially, this process worked perfectly on my 2023 GV70. But then after finding our garage door open a few times, I'm thinking that somehow one of our neighbors might have intercepted our code on accident. So I reset our unit. And now this process is not working, and I cannot program my homelink garage opener.
Parts of the directions are unclear. Step 1: Reset your HomeLink by pressing buttons 1 and 2 at the same time and hold it until it flashes fast. Let go of the buttons to reset. This resets all current codes on the HomeLink device. If you want to only reset 1 button at a time, press and home that button until it flashes fast and then let go. Step 2: At the same time, press the corresponding button on your garage remote that opens the garage door and the button on the HomeLink you want assigned to open the garage. The HomeLink button should flash fast when it has successfully received the garage remote signal. If unsuccessful, repeat and try again. Step 3: Go to your garage door unit (the thing that sits above your car) and press the "learn" button. Quickly get inside your vehicle and press the HomeLink button until your garage door recognizes the signal from your vehicles HomeLink device. The End.
I hate that the vehicle needs to be on for this to work. Every other car I have owned you were able to open/close the door with the vehicle off. Minor inconvenience but an inconvenience non the less.
It's not only an inconvenience but a safety issue. How much carbon monoxide accumulates in a garage over time, especially if vehicles are routinely backed in? What then if carbon monoxide seeps into the house? I'm sure there is a perfect storm example and this wouldn't happen too often but the what if scenarios are there. (Genesis--hopefully you're listening. Release a software update and fix this please.)
@@jamesbaker8078 Not just safety issue but it is also a security issue. People do park their cars on the driveway all the time. Thieves can break the car windows and consequently break into the home.
Thank you! Great, easy to follow video.
Could you please bring genesis in built dashcam feature and functionalities into the north america market?
@@쁘랙딱-d9q Nice. Yeah, Korean Genesis have lots of great features missing in the North American market. Hope they can bring it here soon!
Worked just as explained. Thanks!
worked perfectly thanks so much!!

Does this work with digital openers like Chirp?
Now, how do I use the function once it's programmed? Is there a option for security gates?
L 0:08 0:09 0:09 0:10 I
1:23 pressing didn't work for me, had to press hold for a few seconds
I tried to pair with the remote and that didn’t work either. And I can’t seem to reset my buttons.
I was successfully able to program one of the garage doors but not the 2nd one with my GV70. All I saw was the yellow led blinking. Why not working?
I can not get my GV60 to connect to my garage door. I’ve done all the things. I’ve followed all the instructions. Help!
I CAN'T MY GV80 TO PAIR AT ALL. FRUSTRATING.
Same
This is amazing 😅❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Jeff!

Lol, that's a huge security risk
