Her voice is full, her italian correct, her acting good; and for him is so wonderful to hear finally the italian just like this (in "Falstaff" the pronunciation is so important!!!!), and the voice is very good, as his acting. Let's enjoy! And return to Toscanini, Karajan or Giulini's version when we wanted. 😁

I interviewed Blythe for the cover story of a not insignificant classical singing publication at the beginning of her career, and had to suppress the feeling I had after her concert the evening before that her top notes would some day give her big trouble. From what I read they are now non-existent.

I can assure you Bylthe's voice is perfectly fine, it was superb when one saw her last year in the phenomenal La Fille du Regiment.
