Hi everyone, thanks for watching this video. Many of you have asked for the measurements in grams. 2 cup flour - 325g 1/2 cup caster sugar - 115g For your information, the capacity of the cup used in this recipe is 1 cup = 250ml.
This is totally unrelated but I notice you have beautiful fingers. 😍 I have checked out your videos and I’m subscribing you now. Your food contents hits home and my stomach. 😋
Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ These have been my favorite since I was a little kid. Now I can make them for my children. Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of culinary art.
I'm so glad this recipe has been posted. I just bought a huge tin of the Danish Butter cookies and they've changed the recipe! Sacre bleu. The piped one that has ridges, no longer softly crumbles in your mouth. Kind of a harder crunch, like a stale Keebler, Pecan Sandy. So disappointing. I've enjoyed them for decades. Guess I'll have to make them myself.
Hi there, that's indeed disappointing. We love the original taste and texture of the original danish butter cookies. The hard crunch doesn't sound too pleasant at all. Hope you do spend the time to make these yourself :)
The particular cookie you are referring to is called “vanillekrans” (vanilla wreath). They are sold separately as well from other manufacturers - might be able to find them online. Greetings from Denmark!
@@diycreativeideas2816 super super good, taste like bakery cookies, very buttery fragrance even during baking, then cookies taste perfect(not too sweet, buttery, crispy and not too hard nor soft)
Omg I made these and they taste like the ones you get out of the blue tin... The Wijsman butter has a very unique flavor that really makes the cookie if you ask me. They are very addictive. I found that piping the cookies was the easiest method, I couldn't get my square shapes perfect enough.
My husband keeps buying butter cookies like almost every month and I think its a waste of money. Then I thought, why not i make one myself. So im glad i found ur recipe! Cant wait to try 🥰
@@Yummeth thank you. My kids love danish butter cookies but the ones that we always buy have lost their touch and doesn't taste as nice as years back then. You can try that however would suggest you mix it until it's fully incorporated and also convert it to the equivalent amount of sugar since caster is much finer.
@@j2nine Make sure you refrigerate before cutting and baking. Also check that you have the proportions right. There seems to be some confusion around cup and gram measurements. See pinned comment
Hi there, thanks for your patience. You may be able to get away with shorter time if you live in a cooler climate but more generally, it should be 1 hour minimum
Do you mean dividing the dough into 4 portions evenly or are you planning to only make a ¼ amount in total? If it's making a smaller batch, the gram measurements is in the pinned comment.
Hi. Thanks for sharing the recipe. I made them yesterday. They taste delicious, but they kind of melted or spread in the oven. They did not keep the shape. What did I do wrong?.
Hi there, you may need to adjust the proportions or use measurements in grams instead of cup sizes as these vary (see pinned comments for grams). Try to get a similar consistency as shown in the video before baking and also make sure it's sufficiently refrigerated. Hope that helps
@@zhiroutan1718 It should be soft enough for you to be able to cream it but not too soft. Ideally, you want it to still be able to somewhat hold its shape before creaming. The length of time really depends on how warm or cold the air is in your home. Hope that helps :)
