+SHAWNY TV react to kris kross “I’m Real”
I think Treach wrote this….if you listen it’s definitely his style
People of this generation realizing kids in the 90’s could rap better than half of today’s rappers.
Their fashion was indeed a thing in ‘92. RIP Chris Kelly.
I still wear my shirt backwoods, sometimes, anything goes these days
Only for them nobody was actually wearing their pants backwards lol
This is my jam. They rap better as kids than some adults do. Just sayin’. (1992)
better than adults now yes, back then lots of rappers vwere better than now
I was the same age as them when this dropped. My little brother and I went ham on this!
And yeah....we wore our stuff backward for a lil while...
JUMP came out in 1992 and Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly was 12 yrs old at the time (He passed away at 34) RIP and Chris "Daddy Mac" Smith was 13...those little kids could rap!
Side note: TLC was also featured in this video (in the group jumping lol) and in some parts of their verses they were dissing Another Bad Creation, who was a young boy band in the 90s discovered by Michael Bivins
I was finna say that
RIP CHRIS KELLY.
A hit back in the day.
A classic 1992
KK were about 12 and 13 with their DEBUT
Thanks SHAWNY🤩👍
🔥🔥 My son used to jump himself silly with this song! 🤣
1992, my high school graduation year. It was such a fun year but also an emotional one cause I didn't want high school to end and leave my friends. The backwards clothes was not a thing outside of that video.
Ummm....yes it was. They influenced kids to wear their clothes backwards and they DID.
🔥🔥🔥 Reaction
R.I.P Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly ❤
Make you wanna "JUMP JUMP"....KRISS KROSS will make you. Yes those boys were 🔥🔥🔥. RIP.....
Yep, they were kids who wore most of their clothes, but they were smart and funny &had songs that crushed it!!!!
Lol they tried that backwards mess, but it didn't take thank goodness. I liked their song Warm It Up (Kris) too. Both of their names are Chris. RIP to Chris Kelly, he died way to young.
The backwards clothes was just Kris Kross style. It made them stand out.
2:40 - lol! no, that was just their signature style. Their clothes was what they were known for, aside from their talent.
Only wore my clothes backwards in the house. Didn’t see anyone else where their clothes backwards. But the song hit hard!!
Classic! A lot of talented kid & teen rappers from the 80s & 90s era's. Suggestions: Syheim- "On & On", Illegal- "We Getz Buzy", Da Youngsta's- "I'll Make You Famous".
We Getz Buzy is the one
Add A+ “All I See”, too. Most people don’t remember that song
@@jsquaredhorn yes indeed! he was on my list for suggestions. Love that song 🔥.
@@MsSpecialk84 I used to sing that chorus with my whole chest during parties 🤣🔥
@@jsquaredhorn lol same, Shakira came thru with the vocals. Too bad her group "Sunday" didn't blow up. I really liked them, I had their first single on cassette tape and everything lol.
Shawny just so you know, when this dropped on MTV me and my friends immediatly went in our closets and wore our shit backwards! Yes sir we was on that time! LOL
I remember going to their concert on Point Pleasant beach the year before I started high school and this huge water gun fight broke out.
Kriss Kross had a couple of jams after they became teenagers too. Check out “Alright” and “Tonight’s The Night”.
Not too many people did the backwards thing around my way. I think most knew that it was just a Kross Kross thing. It was cool for them but everybody else couldn't quite pull it off without looking silly
I'm not gonna lie, me and my best friend did the backwards thing because of Kris Kross when we were 13. The things we do for fashion when we are young - it was not a convenient fit AT ALL lol
@@apopuffkin1717 hey I'm not judging you, I wore hammer pants with the pointed toe patent leather shoes at one point 😆
@@Summertyme75 A boy that I went to elementary with used to wear the entire MC Hammer outfit (the red one) every Friday.
@@MissLadyG99 🙈😆😆
Yeah, I don't know anybody who did personally even tho everybody rocked with them tuff
I’m from a small midwestern farm town and my buddy and I rocked the Larry Johnson and Reggie miller jerseys backwards in 4th grade for spirit day, once. Nonetheless, we were sent to the principals office and forced to turn them back around or sent home. I chose to turn them around and I regret every day not being sent home. I let the man win and every win is a great loss to the people! Where I’m from elementary g’s can’t be true g’s without the system hatin on us! Lol
I was in 8th grade when this came out. So 1992 was when it came out. We are the same age so they were around 13 when they did this. Also check out "Another Bad Creation" they are talking about them in this song. When they say "Don't compare us to a bad little fad"
Never wore clothes backwards, but used to wear a lot of Starter gear
Hi SHAWNY. Thank you for this classic video. You should check out ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, "Everyday People, Mr. Wendal and Tennessee." So much talent out there, especially the old-school Classics R&B. Thanks again. GOD BLESS.
I reacted to everyday people awhile ago. ruclips.net/video/6hXMsdxA3L0/видео.html🔥🔥🔥
1992. RIP Chris Kelly.thanks for making 1992 a great year for me. Great music !!!!
It came out in 92 we were the same age 13 lol
We listened to this and Warm it up all the time in 1992! ♥️
Maaan, to be in that time and to witness when they first dropped, it was AMAZING!!! All the girls liked them and all the lil dudes wanted to be them! Even adults liked them too
Bow Wow is another one who rapped as a kid Romeo too
Don't forget It was Kriss Kross who started the saggy baggy pants trend way back In 1992'' They also wore their clothes backwards. And Can you Belive Kriss Kross was the roots Of Atlanta Hip Hop back in 92''!🎶😎
This came out in 1992 and was the number 3 spot on the Billboard Top 100 of that year. I was 14 and a freshman in high school.
Me encanta esta cancion como muchas mas
FYI, those line in the beginning was a jab at Another Bad Creation. Lol Kriss Kross had everyone wearing their clothes backwards. The brown skinned one passed away from cancer.
Correction: It was an overdose.
Overdose
@@ericbryant386 For real? I could've sworn it was cancer.
@@LuvnAries23 yes I remember them saying he was fighting those demons for years
I miss them. They were on 🔥 for a hot minute, then just vanished. Then one of them passed.
Feb, 16.1992,when their debut album came out.I was in the navy stationed at Nas Oceana Va Bch,Va.in an attack squadron-VF-84 ( Jolly-Rogers ) attached to an air-wing aboard the USS Roosevelt ( an aircraft carrier ) Good times back then, our enlisted club was BANGING,lots of civilian honeys coming on board !!! LOL.. The song is still FIRE.
Feb 16 is my birthday I was born 4 years later in 95
Yes!!!! I used to do that. My cousin Donzel was light skinned and I’m dark skinned so In 92’ we dressed like Criss Cross for Halloween. They even had Criss across Day at the after school program. Lol
They tried to make wearing clothes backwards a fad but nobody was doing that lol
NOPE.I didn't see anyone doing it either. But,that was something new and different tho. LOL.
Hey nephew. This was the era (when EVERYONE wore their clothes/clothing backwards). YEEEEEEEES nephew.
💙🤎🤎🤎🖤🖤🖤
Seeing Shawn Wayans in this vid remind me of IN LIVING COLOR 😂 Idk if you plan on ever reacting to tv skits or clips or maybe a second channel for that but those skits are HILARIOUS! They have a lot of live performances after the show that would be dope to react to as well. Kriss Kross debuted this song as a performance at the end of In Living Color and the next day the video premiered. R.I.P Chris Kelly from Kriss Kross 🙏🏾🌻🕊
Hmmm I never thought of doing that🤔
@@shawnytv_ Do it! Do it! Do it! 😁
@@shawnytv_ yeees do it or it can be in the same channel
🤭 in Richmond,VA we def wore our clothes backwards. It was a style didn't last long but if you were a teen I was 15 yrs you'd try it🤷🏾♀️ .90S BABY
Some of my friends wore their clothes backwards to school when this song came out.
oh my god dat remember i was 12year at the time ..... jump jump every time with dat chune
R.I.P Chris Kelly Mac Daddy
The best part was one of them was called Mack Daddy and the other Daddy Mack. Very creative
Jermaine Depree discovered them in a mall in tha ATL,they had a HUGE group of youngsters following them around tha mall,Jermaine asked them why the kids were following them, they said-WE COOL like THAT. LOL.
Something about the crispyness of that old loops
The were discovered by producer Jermaine Dupree, who by the way also did Mariah Carey's we belong together and other great songs
They were walking around the mall and Jermaine saw how girls were following them,he thought they were famous for something,so he went up to them and asked them what they did and they said we're just kool
They didn't rap or anything
He gave them his number and the rest is history
1992 💙
They were 12 and 13

Ultimate classic🔥🔥🔥🔥takes me back1992
I love his lil shoulder dance when he getting into it 😂
He be giggin 😂
Kris Kross Tonight's the night
I tried wearing my pants backwards once but it made it hard to undo your pants to go bathroom so as soon as backwards day was over, I turned em back the right way. 😆
Bounce with me bow wow
Yep, Kriss Kross started the whole wearing clothes backwards.
I believe it was '91 when it came out
1992... Baggy jeans & colorful clothes were the style. To break away from the tight gear worn in the 80's. Kid groups were on the rise in the early 90's. Ironically, Atlanta would not really get their props until Outkast, and the South would not truly be heard until 15 years later...
The backwards fad lasted the summer of 92 then that was it 😂😂😂
Another classic 🔥🔥🔥🔥 This brings back so many memories of little black girls using this song in jump rope competitions😂 You have to do their other song: Warm it up Kriss.
I was in the 7th or 8th grade when this came out, It was a BANGER!..
You gotta do Warm It Up now 🔥🔥🔥
I didn't wear it all backwarrds but they definately got me wearing super baggy jeans
TLC make a cameo in this video. Go skip to: 2:25 and again at 2:27 to the right of the screen and you peep Chilli and Left Eye. Love your channel by the way.
Lol yea I see my girl and thanks I appreciate it!🙏🏽
Well in 1992 when I was in 9th grade, the backwards clothes WERE the style with a lot of people I went to school with..because of Kris Kross.
Jump came out in 1991, one was 12 and the other one was 13.
I had this tape, lol!
The thing about old school artist! They have their own style! You guys may think things were funny back then, but hip hop would not have evolved into an empire if it wasn't for artist like this! Fashion was a thing for hip hop artist!
R.I.P Chris Mac Daddy Kelly
Ya man, kids were slaves to trends in the 90's too. We did it for a minute...
This was THE JAM...it rocked places they were way too young to get into...heeeyyy!
"don't try to compare us to Another Bad little fad" is referring the boy group "ABC" (from Iesha)
That’s the way they wore their clothes backwards
Kriss Kross back in the days
Yyyyyyyaaaaassssssss!!!!!
Special appearance by T-Boz and Chilli of TLC if you look closely
Like MC Hammer, their fashion was a blip and with select people. LOL....They were like 13 or 14 in this vid and was out in around 92
Nah, that was THEIR style; I don't recall ANYONE back in my day wearing their clothes like that lol It was just weird to me 🤷🏾♀️
When it comes to today's Rap artists, the first generation builds the culture; the second generation is inspired to preserve it by witnessing the hard work, and the third generation, having never witnessed the work that went into the creation of this culture, destoys it. The Rap culture, unfortunately, is within the third generation.
Can't Wait Another Minute... By Hi-Five another hit
It’s their name and their style… Kris Kross!!! Everything reversed
RIP Chris Kelly.
I believe they both were 13 when this song came out.
Review their song Tonite’s Tha Night
Yes they did back in the day. I don't know if you noticed but in the video N.E. Heartbreak by New Edition they were wearing two different colored shoes.
Oh yea I remember they made it look 🔥🔥
@@shawnytv_ Michael Jackson influenced a lot of kids he was in the Jackson 5 group at a young age
👍👍👍👍
I did where my pants backwards in 92 i was 10 lol
FYI; When they said wearing your clothes backwards is wack, they was talking about the group Another Bad Creation that Michael Bivens from New Edition discover.
listen to tonights the night - kriss kross
Have you done Warm it up or I miss the bus yet? And yes we were about 12 then and the backwards clothes was a thing in my jr high school lol.
R.I.P
CHRIS KELLY 🕊 🕊 🕊 🕊
In the early 80's when New Wave music hit, we would wear out jeans inside out and write your favorite bands on your jeans. By the time I got to high school, that fad was gone. Never saw anyone wear their clothes backwards except Kris Kross.
Both named Chris. However, the dark one passed away of illness about 7 to 10 years ago.
I actually wore my clothes backwards lol 😆
Nah that was their trademark to wear their clothes backwards. Came out in like 92 im thinking
Nooo. Everyone didn't do that but check out M.C. Hammer.. 'Can't Touch This'... I did do that... The hammer pants and the shiny shoes... Regrettably...
I want you to react to live and die for hip hop by them
You should do Kriss cross-tonight’s tha night
That's another BANGER.
@@powerbad696 I know after that Kriss Kross disappeared
Kris kross jump came out in 1992
They're style better than today, clothes hanging off the rear and skinny jeans 🤣
Please react to "Warm It Up Kriss" and "It's a Shame" by Kriss Kross?
People were def wearing clothes backwards after this video
