I’ve loved them since day one, an I can’t get enough, I just wish they’d get their merch game sorted out, I love my get to heaven T-shirt ect but they are sorely lacking on things I can spend my money on lol, in the end it’s their loss 😅
The music industry requires a sold soul to get "famous" and Jon continuously mocks that in his lyrics. Which I guess means he hasn't. Which is a good thing, I think. But maybe he sold his soul, maybe he didn't. As he's said.
From what I can see they are mates, they are also massively skilled if not genius level and they love music. Hopefully they will go on because they just seem to evolve and get better.

This is EE single peak right there, easy listening while being mature, complex. Kinda has some man alive vibe to it with get to heaven while sounding totally new. Loved Cold Reactor but this is another level
I think I read that the record would have a bit more Man Alive sound to it which I was really looking forward to and I had the same thoughts with this single, it's like Man Alive, Get To Heaven and something new and it sounds amazing. Also the return of the fast singing, I missed Jon spitting bars like that lol

This one feels like the songwriting off of those first couple albums with the glossier production of the newer ones and man alive am I here for it. This album’s going to be great, I can feel it.

@stephaniebaird6937 Man Alive has some of my favorite songs for sure, but if you're looking for something with a little more bite and poignant social commentary I do really love Fever Dream
My favourite thing with everything everything is getting really happy about the sound then needing to do a deep research on what the lyrics means and then being really happy about them too. Their work is excellent

Every song is a banger on the album but I will always come back to The Mad Stone. The references to the past albums is what makes it a wonderful listen. It’s so different yet is exactly what Everything Everything is. I’m a Mountainhead too ⛰️

This song really is such a love letter to EE's discography... while still being its own unique, wonderful thing. There's excitement when you first catch all the references, but even more respect for the lyrics and narrative we're given when you dig deeper. This AND Cold Reactor have me so excited for Mountainhead.

Reminds me of the time i did a 25+ mile pilgrimage to stonehenge during the first covid lockdown for summer solstice..with mushroom tea for company, quite the experience to say the least 🤯 i ended up in the news 🙈 got stoned in stonehenge with pagans and a bearded bloke called king Arthur haha couldn't make this stuff up

Was a bit thrown off by the preview and the intro since it's quite different from your usual sound... but I'm definitely hooked. So excited for the rest of the album to release!! The lyricism and chord progression have me hooked

THE SONG TITLE REFERENCES SENT ME TO HEAVEN
Instant hook, looking forward to the album
This is a strange track and may take a couple of listens, but it is sooo different from everything else out there and that speed singing is oddly catchy. I like this, but I feel it's more a grower than instant - not a bad thing at all!
Have you heard their album ARC? Or indeed their first - they have slowly got a little less weird over time, still awesome, but less weird... I'm happy they're getting weird again. Go listen to that reference, 'choice mountain'. Beautiful song, but also a bit weird!

@@robhaley5136I want weird. I want syncopation and time signatures I don't understand at first listen. I want compelling drums like in My Kz and hooky bass lines like in Schoolin'. I want it all happening at once and for it to feel a bit dangerous because you don't know where it's going. I was wondering how much the reissue of Man Alive would influence this album.
I am so about the syncopation too - one of my favourite things about them. I love Billy Talent too; completely different, but similar in that they also take interesting rhythms very seriously. I write my own songs and both of these bands have had heavy influences!@@Jill_SmokeandMirrors
