Man I do fuckin happy that I found you guys on insta and watch few quick clips and here I am on my break at work instead of napping watching these. I need a laugh man being a nurse is stuff man
I guess I was pretty bloated on my first “period” after a miscarriage. An aunty put her hand on my stomach and asked “kuch hai ander?” (is there anything inside) 💔 I just quietly said “no” at the time but vowed that next time I won’t be putting up with something like that and talking back.
Loving this podcast! Feels so good when I find something so relatable because it doesn't happen often. Being of Pakistani decent in the West, the representation just isn't there. It's a really specific demographic, but you guys are exactly fitting this niche and doing it well! 💓
Love this pod guys! Just a note on sound especially when listening on Spotify there's an echo and some compression happening that's quite distracting idk if you guys are aware
Love this video! I can totally relate with these desi toxic auntie stories, they're exactly the same here in the UK, if not worse! Our generation have to be respectfully savage to deal with them
I really thought my cousins who had immigrated to US/canada were so lucky they didnt have to face this cultural toxicity.but our toxic cultural mindset can ruin lives and shatter confidencw anywhere in the world😢
Hahahaha all this is so relatable. Once I was in the dr waiting area for my post csec check up (which was just 1 week after my baby was born) this random aunty looks at me and said "beta pait(belly) kyun nahi kam hua". Omg I was flustered!!! I was already in pain due to my body rejecting organ adhesion. Ufffff wht do these aunties get by saying. No filter in their mouth.
Do aunties and uncles not fear God? Like what's the reason behind asking such questions or commenting low? Well to anyone reading this and has experienced it, I want to let you know such people carry traits of Jahaliya! Their mindset lets you know what kind of a person they are and seriously we should stay away from them! Remember, God will reckon our deeds. How would they feel if the same happens to their sons and daughters? Personally, I'm not sure if I experienced anything harsh from an aunty or maybe she said it passively and I didn't catch it. However, recently someone close has asked me whether I lost weight? I'm not judging this specific person because maybe they were asking me in a polite way with no harsh intentions; however, I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or not since I haven't lost actual weight but maybe my face looks different due to me changing my hijab styles here and there or maybe this person saw me after a while? I'm not sensitive when someone asks me about my weight but it's not normal to be asking anyone!
This aunty told me 3 weeks after my c section at a funeral that I don't fear Allah because I have gained so much weight. She literally told me "khuda ka khauf Karo itna weight" Broke my spirit so bad
16.11 when I got married and my neighbour asked if I was pregnant, I said to her face no and I said that I wouldn’t tell you if I was 😅 (I know that’s mean lol), also one time (before I got married, I was engaged then but we weren’t allowed to talk, coz Islamicly your not supposed to talk to each other) I was sitting in the garden and talking to a friend from Pakistan and the lady (the neighbour) saw me talking on the telephone and she waited until I finished talking and she’s goes are you talking to your fiancé 😅, btw I’m glad that neighbour moved Alhumdulillah, there’s this auntie I know always asks about my little sister if she’s pregnant, a year after she got married this auntie would always fon my mum and ask how the lil sis was doing and that if she was pregnant, I was there and heard everything and said leave her alone she just got married, thank God my mum didn’t shout at me Alhumdulillah Edit - since my second pregnancy I got a hernia (Alhumdulillah it doesn’t hurt) and it shows like I’m pregnant, anyone I see and their like are you pregnant 🤦♀️, also I alhumdulillah have 3 girls and now everyone’s like when are you going to try for a boy, come on man, boys never look after you when your old, only girls do! Even my mil once said it to me looking at my youngest daughter and saying that oh she’s saying that she wants a brother, i was like please stop, I don’t want anymore kids and I’m happy with what I got Alhumdulillah also when 3 sections, no thank you!
Thank you for sharing your story! Yes you should get to decide how many kids you want. We hope you’re feeling better after the hernia. Thanks for the love and support❤️
