Anthony, you were a little rough on the old folks that owned that car. Next time you need more of an expert anthropologist, like Papa Bear to explain the ancient relics you uncover in these time capsules. Hopefully, we all will get old and just think what your daughter will say about your last car. If they had Frank Sinatra music in the car, they can't be all that bad.😆
Anthony, the retainer plastic clip on the shoulder belt is designed to keep the pressure of the belt off your chest. My father who had breathing difficulties had them on his Grand Marquis.
I'm surprised the dealer didnt clean it out before you purchased it. Strange!! The razor blade in the holder is to scrape off the old inspection and registration window stickers. I always keep one in the car as well and Im not an old lady...not yet anyway..LOL
That is one sweet car. The scraper was in there so they could get the city sticker off because a scraper and glass cleaner does wonders and that's a trick I learned from my elderly Aunt.❤
Drive it, change oil regularly. Change coolant every couple of years. Make sure you give it an Italian tuneup once in a while to keep those piston rings from sticking, and count the days until the headbolt threads give way. Could be at 80K miles or it could be at 180K miles.
Right on. I purchased a low mileage early 2000s Deville DTS; shoulda purchased a tow truck at the same time. I loved the comfort, the sound system etc which came in handy when I was waiting in the car for a quote from the dealer for repairs. After that I swore off purchasing ANYTHING made by GM.
A nice unit Anthony...Papa can't wait to get his hands on this baby I'm sure. With 17K, I can't imagine this Caddy ever was broken in properly. She needs some good highway miles and a detail and, I'd like to see a follow-up video at that time. Northstar under the bonnet and away you go! Keep these great videos coming and good luck with the business guys.
My mother had one almost identical from Crest Cadillac in Syracuse NY. Hers was a 2004, no luggage rack, but it had the chrome side pillars. It definitely needs the side pillars.
My Mom always told me to put a red ribbon in your car. Every new car l got, she did until the good Lord took my heart away, now l do it and remember her smile. We Italians believe it keeps you safe and blessed in your car.💕🙏
Anthony, the combination of VWs and Cadillacs may not be as oddball as you think. It is my dream to own a late model DTS and park it in a 2 car garage next to my 1971 VW convertible. Best of both worlds.
Glad you are feeling better Anthony. We Missed you Man. Hopefully you are okay now. Cant wait to see how you clean up this Beautiful Deville. !!!! Hi Papa....thanks for holding down the Fort. :)
Cadillac was one of the last manufacturers to offer blue interiors, I believe it was a Deville exclusive, before everything went tan, gray, and black for many years. Gorgeous color combination on this '03 Deville, I would say the white and blue is the best color combo for the final generation. I would absolutely love to own one of these classic Caddys one day.
I drive one of these I’m only 47 but I definitely enjoy mine and it has great performance and good braking it’s comfortable and has great stereo system. Good stuff
I've noticed a lot of Cadillac owners like those cup holder things 🤣 it's not uncommon to see them ranging from cheapo Walmart ones to a custom interior color matched
I drive a 2003 Cadillac Deville in diamond white & its one of the finest , well built , beautiful cars ever ! Strong , handles beautifully Gas mileage decent . Ride is great ! The rear is an evolutionary, design reminiscent of early fifties beauties, front fenders , 63-64 elegance

Found an article saying, "It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Santo Scime (Buffalo, New York), who passed away on April 27, 2019". Would be a big coincidence to be someone else living there with the same name. Rest in Peace, I am happy Anthony Gozzo got a hold of the car who will place it in the right hands! Not some dealer trade in.
Anthony, I know you had some bad comments about this video. We all know you had no malicious intent. We see the respect you pay Papa Bear and the love you show him. Pay no mind to the naysayers.
Hey Anthony & Papa Bear, this Cadillac should clean up nicely & once you are done dressing it up with some bling it will be spectacular!!! I'm pleased to report that I'm proudly wearing my Specialty Motor Cars tee shirt with the Lincoln star on it & I have the Specialty Motor Cars sun shade in my Continental!!! Thanks guys!!! 👍👍🙂
Anthony , are you related to Subby Gozzo, of Gozzo Pizza on Blue Hills Ave, in Bloomfield Connecticut ? Did you know the Fragione family across the street. ?
Hey 👋🏻 Anthony! Nice piece! I would like to buy the old school cup/casette holder that was on the floor of the car for my old Caddy. Please tell me you still have it! 🙏🏻
I can't understand the thought process of someone getting rid of a car and just leaving all their shit in there for a dealer or buyer to clean out. Slobs like that don't deserve a car this nice.
Did you watch the beginning of the video 🤷♂️ the people probably died or went in a nursing home. Obviously the person who traded it in doesn’t care and figured the lot kids at the dealership would clean it out.
I would say this is a gem but knowing it has that Northstar under the hood would make this car worthless to me. I had one very similar and although I had no issues with the motor I knew it was a ticking time bomb. Does look nice though!
The number of times you referred to the former owners as old people this ,old person that was sounding obnoxious by the time you were through going through this car. My opinion of you changed to the negative by the time you were finished flipping the items you found. as if you found them disgusting.
Who in 2023 wears a hair bonnet? Imagine doing his job everyday and cleaning out junk from “old” people’s cars like this for 20 years. You’d find it annoying too….
Lol I’m from buffalo now living in Florida, seen the customer or persons name on the boarding pass was Scime. That is a popular butcher/Italian sausage maker in buffalo, ny. Wonder if there’s any relation.
I will say one thing. In my time working at a Dodge Dealership, plenty of young people were slobs when they traded their vehicles in. I don't think it's fair to label a certain age group.
A Guy I knows father traded in a similar Cadillac with less that 10k miles at a Toyota dealer 🥴 I told him I would of bought it from him if he would of told me, the dealer screwed him over 🤦🏻♂️
I thought this video was hilarious - especially @ 4:50 "the killer granny's body bag". Cool. I guess to be fair you could get a hold of any used vehicle that someone left all their crap in and make a fun video of it regardless of generation. A millennial's packrat/hoarder low mileage Caddy trade in (yeah right🙂) would be equally hilarious.
I’d say the opposite. I spend as much time as a possibly can with my dad. I’ve bought him 4 Cadillacs over the years to thank him for all the sacrifices he has made for me and my family growing up. I do that because I appreciate and respect him, and now that he is older I feel it’s a great opportunity to thank him. Majority of my friends are 30-40 years older than me. Sorry you took offense to it. It wasn’t meant to be offensive. More aimed as a joke and a shot at the children who traded their parents beloved cadillac in for a VW and didn’t bother to take their personal belongings out.
I always remember in the Late 90's that the Northstar had major colling issues ! Had to close the windows when I drove heavy! That 4.6 v8 would blow oven air into the cockpit otherwise
Some dumb kids dumped a great car, no new VW is gonna ride like this or have the space to store building materials for a house.. LOL Head bolt yeah yeah, fix it then drive it probably forever...
Hopefully her family members took a lot better care of the dog than they did of the car the old lady left them. They seem very ungrateful. The presenter should also be a bit more respectful to older people imo.
Who in 2023 wears a hair bonnet? Imagine doing his job everyday and cleaning out junk from “old” people’s cars like this for 20 years. You’d find it annoying too….
How about some respect and courtesy for the dead - instead of mocking the small comforts they had in their final years? These were people who survived the Depression, who may have served in the war - and may have had relatives in occupied Europe. Having said that: the car looks like a good deal for someone.
Considering your older client buyers, you lose two subscribers and probably a few thumbs down. Could have been done better, not as harsh. We all know you'll work magic on this one. 1 for hope no rocker decals and 86 the luggage rack. The best color combo!!

How was he rough on them?
Yes, for sure whitewalls or Vogues! Nice find Anthony.
Didn't Vito carry an emergency poncho in his DeVille
Neat! Put Vogues on this one. 🐶🐕😊

The thing on the seatbelt is to reduce the pressure on your shoulder. I love those things.
Purdy ride!! Going to clean up even better!
Thats going to clean up really nice !

@@dgriffin6074 Never have a dealer do the repairs. This operation involves steel inserts and studs. A dealer would only offer a band-aid repair.
Or just fix it and then drive it forever.. lol

One thing you DON'T find in an old lady's car, the spare set of keys.
That’s too funny that they had a calendar from 1999 in their 2003 model car??
Same color combo minus the interior and badges as my 94

Anthony, can you please go through all the trims and what they are? Thanks!
Put Vogue tires on there.
It's gonna be a nice one Anthony. I like the color combination, but the carriage top ruins it for me.
I like the blue carriage top to offset a plain white car
white & blue is stunning. That tacky luggage rack has to go!
How much are you asking for this auto?
With 17K this car shou be like new when you get it detailed out.
Absolutely, the results are always incredible. I would remove the luggage rack it looks awful.
Needs an E&G grille!
Wonder if it has the updated head studs and bolts.
