@@biscy03 Barbara 2.0 aka Kokomi - good because it applies water and heals. But it is useless to compare it with Xing Qiu, it has a use in statue squads, but nothing more. The explosion of Ayato's elements well imposes water, that's just - what are you going to charge it with? Give Ayato Favonius, energy recovery 250 and, probably, you will either have to take 1 more Favonius, or add 1 more hydro-character to the squad that will generate energy - Xing Qiu or Mona there. But, if we have Xing Qiu or Mona, then why Ayato? Now Xing Qiu 2.0 aka Yelan is out, we'll see how it will be on release, but now it looks even better than Xing Qiu in terms of water overlay and will (in its current state) be played in all squads where Xing Qiu is played. And Ayato, without solving his problems with energy recovery, is not able to take the role of a hydro-applicator.
@@biscy03 Correction - after all, the explosion of Ayato's elements does not interrupt the pyro status of either Xiang Ling or Yeomiya. Imposing a weak status 1 time per 1.5 seconds is not enough. We're clearly talking about freeze Ayato since that's what op mentioned Ayato shines in & you said that there are other characters for that xDDD I'm so confused by your argument. You don't need 250 er on Ayato omg can everyone calm down about his er requirement 😂😂😂😂 take a minute & guess what Xingqiu's energy cost is? Yes, it's 80. Does he need 250 er? Noo he doesn't. Ayato also has a passive that helps get back energy for him. I have Ayato on 130 er & I get his burst back up just fine with proper rotations. If you want pure freeze support then yes, you can give him 4pc Emblem of severed fate & a lot more er but his performance won't be bad all the same. Xingqiu is NOT good for freeze. He's single target only. Enemies escape from your range. I would know. I use freeze team in abyss. He's ok with Ayaka but more aoe would be better. He's absolutely TERRIBLE with Ganyu. Please don't be high on copium, Xingqiu is not the best for freeze. Mona does not apply enough wet. Her burst is a one time application, C1 does not work for freeze & the skill isn't enough. Ayato does constant dmg and Childe nukes the enemies, so Childe does a little more overall dmg meanwhile Ayato can be used as a support in freeze combs.
If we're talking overall then ayato definitely gives you more overall damage because he can pop his E and W most of the time and the rotation is smooth.

Why are people in the comment section fighting, both can 36* the abyss just fine. Genshin isn't really a meta game, and on the long run, it doesn't matter who is stronger than who. Even Diluc and Keqing can 36* the abyss just fine. Just pull whoever you think fits your playstyle/team better. As simple as that. I have both Childe and Ayato and I use both.
It's not fighting, it's a discussion on who is better in meta POV. You can't decide how people want to play the game, I know many who are metaslaves, but they definitely have a lot of fun. Also why are you even on this video if you do not care about who is better? So... yeah, let people have their fun in theorycrafting.
Even I'm Genshin player that playing since release and now AR 57, still only got 33* abyss total. I'm not kinda like the spiral abyss that must be finish. Imma stop here bc this comment will be too long but yeah, no need to fight abt who’s better, pull who you want.
The only reason I prefer Ayato is because his CD is short. Chidle CD is too long. Spend 2-3 seconds more in melee mode and your rotation is completely ruined
@@sohailape what? 😹Just spend 10-12 sec in his meele stance and the cooldown will be just 1 sec longer than ayato's cooldown. Childe's E skill is a advantage if you know how to use it.
Ayato is capable of being a Hypercarry something which Childe can't exactly replicate easily. But he is far superior because of his burst in terms of damage.
im a bit late to the party their power level is very similar, the difference is that tartaglia is way more flexible with his rotations, like you can skip boss phases like for example first phase of magu kenki or robots from PMA, same goes for multi wave content where he can clear one wave with a single burst, if needed he can also extend his skill for enemies like pyro lectors, with them you have ayato, you use his skill, his skill ends and you just wait for it to come back, with tartag you can stay in your skill and just break the shield in one go, he also scales better in aoe with his riptides and has more frontloaded damage which sometimes allows speedruning type of clear times
Same tbh I love childe and I want to run tazer with electro lumine cuz I ship them plus electro Mc can be a battery for beidou anyways and if I can I would put yoimiya in there if I get her that is
I won't say he's a better option for freeze than kokomi and mona. In freeze team, the role of hydro character is to apply hydro while taking no field time, which ayato certainly is not good for with his 80 cost burst, ge might even end up taking more field time than the actual cryo dps. His taser is pretty strong though.
Since this is comparison only for vapo reaction than i can say childe win. But ayato can be very good in freeze team due to his on field ultimate ~ this means ayato can also be support in freeze team by simply change his artifact into emblem set (he can snapshot !!). Ayato may be able to utilize beidou’s entire q duration with TF. And since he is triggering the EC cause of his standard icd, he should be able to proc TF consistently.
Childe looked a bit better here, because of one thing, him being able to do burst/nuke damage. Everyone should already know by now that Genshin's fights heavily favor dps characters that can nuke and deal high constant damage at the same time. That's why Raiden,Eula,Ganyu,Hu Tao,Ayaka etc. are considered top notch DPS characters since some can do both efficiently and some just nukes everything to death effectively. So unless you really just like Ayato for whatever reason, he should be a skip if you already have Childe.
Eula and hu tao aren't top notch dps, when are you living 2.0? Also raiden isn't that insane of a dps, most teams can compare to her at C0, it's her C2 that's busted strong. It's her energy recharge that makes her top tier character, that's why she is in raiden national. Xiangling is better then all those, and she doesn't depend on nuke, afterall nuke or what doesn't matter, it's how much dmg in a rotation that matters, unless the floor is very easy like 2 ruin guards. Top tier dpss are Xiangling, Ayaka and you can say ganyu. Each of which have got a pretty different style, although similar
childe is much better in vape comps and ayato in freeze imo. both are great units but it really just comes down to which suits ur playstyle more, in my case i like childe better since i'd like to be able to move freely while attacking and ayato's playstyle isn't like that.
You can move and dodge with Ayato's E skill, and he is best on electrocharge teams imo. Freeze isn't really his forte but he is doable on it, more like on quick swap freeze team.

Also zero luck with HoD artifacts and no Rust-the game simply didnt want me to play Childe lol.
Childe still better and imo more interesting playstyle. The riptide is just way too satisfying, it’s basically irreplaceable for me, at least for now. I was pulling for Ayato but I’ll stop now and save it for Kazuha and the next archon. Imma stay with childe
I just did the same) I could try Ayato on his rerun so I could have 2 Childes in Abyss (one for vape, and one for freeze/taser) but Kazuha is top priority rn.
I loved Ayato but since I already have Mona n Childe I'm gonna skip too for Ayaka. Ayato isn't bad he is very balanced and easier to use but Childe is just fine for now
I think Ayato is better, becuse you don't always have a burst on your Childe. It's boring collecting energy for burst before going to kill the boss, Childe is a nuke character while Ayato isn't and Ayato can do fast normal attacks so easier to build F2P because you will always get a 5 star artifact on weekly bosses when you are above 35 AR.
The way I see it, ayato isn't terribly far behind Childe in vape, and Childe isn't terribly far behind ayato in EC. The fieldtime management for Childe CD still applies with his ec comps. I think in ST, ayato has higher personal dps, even if less frontloaded, but less hydro enabling capability In AoE, it depends. Both of them benefit from clustered enemies, ayato with his Q, and Childe with riptide. If enemies can't quite cluster like you want them too, his E's AoE compensates. If enemies are clustered, ayato enabling capability also increases. All in all, I think they are very comparable units, one offering a nuke and higher enabling capability, and the other offering consistent strong dps and wide range AoE hydro app.

I already have C1 Childe with his signature weapon, but I don't have any crowd control anemo, which is why im thinking to pull Venti. I was only thinking to pull for Ayato to use him as a burst support for my Ganyu, is this a good idea?
for a small window dps, childe can nuke, but need to know the right timing to set him up for the nuke otherwise he may miss the target. while ayato cant nuke as hard as childe in a single strike, he still can do very high dps, also with proper setup. the difference here is, ayato is able to change the direction while doing the damage. can be a win looking at how floor 12 enemies now cant stay put always jump around here and there.
the way i see it Ayato is more of a Generalist while Childe is more of a specialist. because Ayato while not being the best option is fits better in more team comps than Childe. but Childe beats him in Vaporize teams.
I’d say that ayato is better at being a sub dps and the only big advantage i see in him is his burst which has a long duration and you can use it for freeze/vaporize/electrocharged but overall i still think that childe would be be a better applicator and dps rather than ayato because i mainly see him more of a burst support for freeze with ayaka

Is all about big number damage burst oriented
Childe: on field hydro applier+ damage. No ICD so vaporize very good
Ayato: on field damage dealer+ ICD. Good in teams that boost his damage and electrocharged teams
Childe wins in vape comps, ayato wins in EC comps. You can use them vice versa but they have their own best comps so if you're one of the people still thinking who to pull, pick which one you like more, EC or vape. Tho its already obvious that you should really pull which you like more.
childe is really the king of vaporize teams huh. i think ayato shines more in freeze teams
and there he will be anyway Xing Qiu, Mona, Kokomi, who are better at applying water
@@alexdark2699 what are you on? Only Kokomi compares to applying hydro like Ayato. His burst is a literal field of rain with 100% up time. You literally can't get better hydro application than Ayato. Xingqiu is single target only & doesn't even work with Ganyu who doesn't do normal attacks like ever.
Mona's hydro application is very sus and minimal. Kokomi is good but so is Ayato so you can pick who you want to pull more.
In principle, with Xiang Ling, it is possible that Ayato uses a stance ... but it only lasts 6 seconds, while Xiang Ling's ult is 10 seconds without c4 and 14 seconds with it.
@@alexdark2699 but no one's talking about vaporize? We're clearly talking about freeze Ayato since that's what op mentioned Ayato shines in & you said that there are other characters for that xDDD I'm so confused by your argument.
In freeze it doesn't matter if he has icd cos freeze mechanics are different & enemies are frozen 24/7 in his burst. It's literally just a fact.
She's still fine if you have venti. This is why only Kokomi is good enough. But not everyone has Kokomi so they can choose who they prefer.
Ayato does constant dmg and Childe nukes the enemies, so Childe does a little more overall dmg meanwhile Ayato can be used as a support in freeze combs.

their power level is very similar, the difference is that tartaglia is way more flexible with his rotations, like you can skip boss phases like for example first phase of magu kenki or robots from PMA, same goes for multi wave content where he can clear one wave with a single burst, if needed he can also extend his skill for enemies like pyro lectors, with them you have ayato, you use his skill, his skill ends and you just wait for it to come back, with tartag you can stay in your skill and just break the shield in one go, he also scales better in aoe with his riptides and has more frontloaded damage which sometimes allows speedruning type of clear times

@@slavomirasenov same thing with childe
His AA not count as E stance
Lol
My man gib ayato main dmg talent 10
Childe 8 9
I have childe and ayato, childe do more in vape but ayato have more easy gameplay. The damage comparison between this 2 not that high. On other comp i pick ayato.
Childe ICD better than Ayato > vape better :)
@@MMOJACKX57Channel ya agree with that
but with ayato flexibility on every team comp it give ayato a good point, we can say ayato is flexible character not far behind the best team for every comp and easy to use.
I wish my Childe could do that kind of 15k normal attacks without vap.😂
But i guess its not possible with r1 rust.
level 13 Q bennett and a 200 crit value (about 65 cr 130 cd in 1:2 ratio)heart of depth set,would enough above 10k
@@camap9235 I have 70/140 crit ratio with 4pc Shimenawa on Childe
But bennet burst is level is 10 since he's c4 and has prototype rancour.
He can do 8k-9k normal attacks with bennet burst.🥲
Yeah same
@@sensibleDuck893 nice that i thought only me using Shimenawa lol,but i'm using Rust r5 tho,62.6/168.9,my bennett using festering desire lv90 and Q lv 13,boosted my childe's atk from 2239 to 3375,4th normal attack does 14700 damage
childe is definitely better at vape teams, while personally, i see ayato better in electro/dendro reactions because of his continuous dmg (ex. hyperbloom)
team childe. excellent video
:3 enjoy bro
Thats some impressive aoe 4:57
can you try the ayato combo with thoma? because no other content creators have tried it yet
maybe bc thoma is an awful support
On tazer teams i split on field time between childe and kokomi to mitigate the high cooldown on childe E. Both on filed with beidou burst cause that thing has low off time. Beidou c5 with skyward pride R2 and 4 set emblem, kokomi c0 with prototype amber c5 and 4 set clam, childe c0 with rust c3 and 2 set heart 2 set attack (don't have a good 4 set heart yet) and sucrose c2 with sacrificial fragments r2 r set viridescent. sice eletrocharged is a reaction that stiks around you can swirl both electro and hydro.
if your childe has enough downtime that you can fill it with another dps then you are using his skill for too long. try a shorter rotation and use the downtime to cast your beidou and fischl etc
I already have C1 Childe with his signature weapon, but I don't have any crowd control anemo, which is why im thinking to pull Venti. I was only thinking to pull for Ayato to use him as a burst support for my Ganyu, is this a good idea?
I say u should go for venti instead there’s better hydro supports for ganyu (Mona and kokomi)
wqit for kazuha for crowd control and he's a better all around unit than venti
childe cant attack/reach units sucked on venti's burst, use sucrose or kazuha.... or use viridescent hunt
venti is more valuable for Ganyu than Ayato
maybe you need wait kazuha or try sucrose , venti not bad but ..sometime abyss meta change to dps check :)
OH NO I'M SO SORRY THAT YOU WERE UNFORTUNATE ENOUGH TO GET C6 BENNY BOY
for a small window dps, childe can nuke, but need to know the right timing to set him up for the nuke otherwise he may miss the target.
while ayato cant nuke as hard as childe in a single strike, he still can do very high dps, also with proper setup.
the difference here is, ayato is able to change the direction while doing the damage. can be a win looking at how floor 12 enemies now cant stay put always jump around here and there.
Yeah and still childe outperforms him in single target nuke and aoe situations 🤷🏻♂️
@@A_087_ If you're talking about vaporize team then yes. But the difference is little.
me got both at c0 and lvl 90 ayato and childe almost maxed crowned, this abyss is going to be FUNHHEEHEHE
ez mode :D
After watching this.. I conclude 1 thing.. man I need kazuha
yeah , Kazuha is S tier character on this game
the way i see it Ayato is more of a Generalist while Childe is more of a specialist. because Ayato while not being the best option is fits better in more team comps than Childe. but Childe beats him in Vaporize teams.
I’d say that ayato is better at being a sub dps and the only big advantage i see in him is his burst which has a long duration and you can use it for freeze/vaporize/electrocharged but overall i still think that childe would be be a better applicator and dps rather than ayato because i mainly see him more of a burst support for freeze with ayaka
thing is as a sub dps xingqiu is better in most cases because he takes less field time and applies hydro better. Ayato's fine tho, he's pretty flexible and can work well in many teams. Plus he's fun and boba
@@SoulHydron Takes less field time? You have to double E with sac sword if you play him in freeze and his burst animation is 2 seconds, it's at least 6 seconds of field time for an off-field hydro that only hits in single target, has very large blind spots that will end up in your Ayaka taking damage in a freeze team.
The only time XQ isn't taking much field time is Raiden National.
@@MegaSJ and? Xingqiu animation isn't 2 second, it's one, even with sac, he takes at most 4 seconds.
Ayato have burst animation of 2 second + 6 second skill, so 8 second.
Almost double the time of xingqiu.
In what world does ayato take less time wtf
@@serulu3490 it's longer than 1 second, unless you dash cancel. It's still an off-field SINGLE TARGET hydro that you'll end up not freezing everything, that's why he's often replaced in freeze teams. aoe coverage > application rate. Meta freeze comps dom't want Xingqiu's single target hydro in freeze. Ayato's E dps is worth the 6 seconds of field time. Wtf freeze teams you play? If you don't do freeze teams, then don't talk.
@@MegaSJ i am not talking about whether he applies hydro as good as ayato or such, i am replying to you saying xingqiu takes more field time.
Have some logical thinking bruh, you should have said "true ayato takes more field time, but he apply hydro better", not straight up lying, 6 seconds lmao what
Amazing
Ayato is temporary childe is ethereal never gonna leave my meow meow
:)
