I did an exam on ELO when I was at school in 1984. True.
From 1972 to 1986 Jeff Lynne's Electric Light Orchestra has had more top 40 hits than any other group in the world. More than 50 years later they still play in sold-out Arenas and Stadiums. I saw them in the Summer of 2019 on the North American Tour...( Best Concert of my life) All the reviews agree they are the best live act in the world and Jeff Lynne is a Music Genius. They are in the Rock Hall of Fame. Lynne is on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and Birmingham Walk OF Fame. Jeff Lynne’s ELO won the Best Classic Rock Band plus Lynne won the best songwriter award ( ASCAP ) 2019 for his fantastic contribution over the years.
Lynne was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2020 for his incredible contribution to music.
He also created the best Super Group of all time with his best friend George Harrison, The Traveling Wilburys. The Legends in the Music Industry call Jeff Lynne the best overall Musician ever and a Producer Extraordinaire. Jeff Lynne has written and produced many hit songs for music legends like George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Joe Walsh, Brian Wilson, Paul McCartney, Bryan Adams, Aerosmith, Del Shannon, the Everly Brothers, and so many others... i listened to it on the radio going to work and it blew me away, brought back alot of memories. was great hearing the old songs. especially my favourite Wild west hero. well done jeff, youre a legend.

I just want to kiss him for his vulnerability. No doubt he's got deep confidence, but he comes off as a wonderful man.

Which one of todays so called stars will be playing Glastonbury or anywhere else when their nearly 70 and sounding just as good as they did 40 years earlier. Such a down to earth person and his performances still give me that same feeling as when i first heard him in the 70s.

Hoping for a tour in the US this year.
He's playing the Hollywood Bowl in September 9, 10 & 11, and then Radio City Music Hall on September 16 & 18. That's it so far according to his website.

ELO were offered to headline the 1979 Knebworth Festival, Jeff Lynne turned down the offer as the band had just finished the long tour to promote the "Out of the Blue" album, he and the other band members were totally worn out and in need of a rest. Led Zeppelin were then offered the headlining spot and they accepted it

Humble, well mannered and not a trace of ego. How refreshing nowdays. But why is he always wearing sunglasses ? He must go to bed wearing them.
To hide large, dark bags underneath his eyes...I don't know if he wears them to bed, will never find out unfortunately...for me!! I couldn't care less if he had Louis Vuitton holdalls under his eyes, I still think he's the best ever.

I SWEAR his stylist or someone put a short haired wig on Jeff. You can see his curls below the wig on his neck below the wig. I got to see the entire show from Glastonbury before the Beeb pulled it off YT, and I noticed how the back of his head looked different. Looked as though he'd been wearing a baseball cap for a long while and it left that ring on his head. IF you ever get to see the show, watch out for it...You'll see it. I still love him with all my heart, wig or no.
Idiotic. He dyes his hair, obviously, but doesn't wear a wig. The matting you might see it from his sweating as he just got off the stage in that interview. This comes from someone who has been within inches of Jeff.
I beg your pardon! I am FAR from an idiot. I am aware of the fact he dyes his hair. I was not referring to his hair during the interview. What I saw was during the concert. I noticed it in the first shot or two from behind Jeff onstage, looking out into the crowd. I, too, have been close enough to him to see he natural hair, and he certainly wasn't wearing anything then, except his own gorgeousness. That is why I was SO shocked. But this was way different. I'm sure it was Camelia's dumb idea. She was listed as his stylist at the Hyde Park concert.

I think Jeff enjoyed the interview. She was obviously an enthusiastic fan of Jeff/ ELO. Nothing to criticize.
