HELLFIRE PASS - Kanchanaburi - Death railway -

When you are in Kanchanaburi Thailand you really must visit this part of history. Hellfire pass (or Konyu Cutting) is part of the death railway built by prisoners of war and Asian laborors in the Second World War, under the command of the Japanese army. So many people died during its construction that it is said that there is a deceased person under every railwaybeam.Hellfire Pass was one of the most difficult sections of the railway to build. You can visit the museum and the memorial and walk a 3 km trail were the tracks used to be.
When in Kanchanaburi, you should really take some time to visit this place, so it can never be forgotten.
There is no entrance fee and the museum is open every day from 9am - 4 pm
