I want to correct something I said in the video - You cannot have Arcane Harnessing on all 5 of your armor pieces, as you don't want to add it to Featherweight, as you need Shirking Heals there instead. You want Arcane Harnessing on the 4 other pieces along with the Empowered Runeglasses in them to get the 18% extra damage you need.
this is such a fun build. tyvm for pushing the flail to the limit. very satisfying abilities to use. if you don't have a good bb what secondary would you recommend? Cheers!
I followed this guide and have been loving it! It is crazy damage and really sneaks up on people in OPR. I have had up to 5800 crits and frequently hit for mid 4k's on abilities. Recommend!
This looks like a lot of fun. I was wondering what your thoughts were regarding the new changes to the BB with this patch today? Would you make any changes?
I honestly have no idea man. I quit New World months ago and haven't touched it. Got sick of the devs screwing up the game and just lost faith in their ability to resurrect it. Good luck though!
Burdening smite is honestly an insane perk for flail. 35% increase to all enemy cooldowns on hit is busted when the perk is on weapon. Eruption on armor or shield is still up to an 18% damage increase but if you want more dmg I guess putting it on weapon works.
It’s just a preference thing. I’d rather just finish someone off rather than extend their cooldowns. I think the smite perk is better for support-type flail builds, which this isn’t trying to be.
@Swill does this build work well in PvE? I really love the weapon combo, mostly the BB but I can't seem to find any PvE guides for it. I don't care if it's optimal as long as it pumps well enough. Any ideas? I"m guessing you don't take net and things like that but I'm not sure where to find the info.
I guess it would depend what kind of PvE you’re doing. M3 expeditions? No way. General open world stuff? It’s possible. You’d need to get rid of shirking heals and run something else, maybe enchanted ward.
I’m not sure boosting the dot damage from the runeglass is better than just putting a fire runeglass in conjunction with the BB’s fire damage. It may be though. But I probably won’t test it to find out lol.
What is your opinion on using the Odo with this build, where it does 20% increaed damaged to stunned or knocked down enemies, adding the powerful eruption perk onto it to add the 30% to that as well and just not having a gem slot?
I don't think Odo is right for this build. It has too many dead perks that don't maximize damage - Odo's Defense, Lifestealing, Refreshing Move. The +20% damage perk is ok, but the rest don't really suit this specific build. But if it's all you have and want to run it, go for it. I'm sure it would still do ok.
Dude sorry how do I even get that armor you have ? Im playing for 2 weeks already 😅, but don't know how to get a proper armor, expeditions are boring to do.
Basically the only way to get shirking heals gear with harnessing perks is paying absurd amounts of gold none of these builds are really possible for casual players unless u grind the shit out of gold or trade skills
@@dyslexicape4249This comment is so useless. This is true of literally any game, especially PVP games - you have to grind and invest time/resources in order to get the best gear. Casual players aren’t going to be interested in PVP anyways.

Bis or not i think the ping difference is what make me get kill or be killed.
SnS/Spear. It's more versatile while this is more niche. Also, this is harder to build out as you need arcane harnessing on your pieces. This is definitely stronger as a 1v1 assassin-like build, but if you have to choose which one you're going to dedicate your resources into building out, I'd go SnS/Spear.

Against ranged? As light melee, that’s always the struggle. But you’re not really going after targets that are 30m away from you that see you coming and start shooting at you from range.
powerful eruption works off of impairment stacks being on the target when you trigger Arcane Eruption right? so how are you applying the impairments before you erupt? trying to figure this build out
@@NWSwill that's why I figured. Opening with chains then smite then eruption, but In your demo part of your video you open with chains, then eruption then smite if they need a finisher. Sry I'm just trying to understand, maybe I'm over thinking it
@@sonyghost4613 it’s an example of how you can combo with the build, but that of course isn’t how it plays out 100% of the time when playing. Either way, you’re getting a minimum of guaranteed 10% increased damage with the eruption perk which is better than anything else you can put on it, so it’s still worth it.
@@sonyghost4613 Also, the Spiky Impairment passive will give them 1 stack if they hit you or you block while above 90% health. Then the first hit of Eruption will put another 2 stacks on them.
No, because the Flail only has a 1.20 critical damage multiplier which is a bit low. However, if all you have or can get is a flail with vicious, then just go with that until you can get one better.

Hello there, was curious as to if you have done any gear changes or updates to this char as I'm doing my best to follow in your footsteps :D
