I watched Swing Shift Cinderella first so I could immediately tell. Kinda ruins the rewatch value of this one especially since I think Swing Shift Cinderella is funnier. I can excuse it though because these cartoons were made at a time before home video existed so you couldn’t just watch then both “back to back“ and realize it reused animation.
Tex Avery and Chuck Jones cartoons were the only US cartoons that werent dubbed in France on TV. Subtitles were used to preserve the extraordinary quality of their soundtracks, both the music and the acting voices. There was also a christmas holidays tradition during the 80's and 90's : every friday and saturday night from December 15 yo January 15 at 11PM and during christmas night, the French third public channel proposed a two hour selection of the finest Tex Avery cartoons. Many kids and teens were allowed to stay awake until 1AM to enjoy the show. That's why Tex Avery is very appreciated by 30 y:o and up French people.
NGL I kinda get where the City wolf is coming from. Aside, I honestly, think it's pretty impressive that Tex recycled a segment from a previous Red short, and made it so the bits sandwiching that segment weren't dull or derivative. I'm kinda with Eric Goldberg how this is one worth remembering as one of his best shorts cuz the cousins just have great chemistry for comedy lol
The singing voice for City Red was provided by American Jazz & Pop singer Imogene Lynn. In fact, she provided the singing voice for all of Red's appearances throughout all of the Tex Avery shorts.
Yup. Pinto Colvig did not limit himself to Disney in his lifetime. MGM wasn't far off. Doesn't seem to matter what role he voiced. Goofy was always his signature character and by implementing that personality on other characters? It's pretty obvious.
Country wolf’s excitement was more funnier than the city wolf’s excitement and the tuxedo rips were even funnier for both wolves. It’s like this “I want you, mama!”
Sorry about that, it’s Copyright issues, this was my earlier videos on how I had to blend it in order for it to play on RUclips , a year later I found out a better way without the lines 😊
Additional fun facts: This cartoon also reused the footage from Swing Shift Cinderella (1945) where Red sings Oh Wolfie.

Except Red Hot Riding Hood, in which Red's singing voice was provided by Connie Russell.
3:21
"She don't wanna hug you or kiss you."
Six seconds later...
3:27
She doesn't want to make it too easy for him. He does have to earn that kiss and hug.
We don't shout or whistle in the city.
What are you a wolf or a sheep
Country man wants a fine city girl
City man wants a skinny country girl 🤣🤣👍🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Country Wolf Wants a HOT 🔥 Voluptuous City Red Riding Hood.
City Wolf gets Horny over a Homely Country Red Riding Hood.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's perfect how tex did it.
@@talariswatts-el9196Amen to that
@@talariswatts-el9196Tex Avery also liked poking fun at the Mother-in-Law.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The goofy laugh 😂😂😂😂
It was Pinto Colvig, the original voice of Goofy.

Oh, I am very sorry, cousin, but I’m afraid this city life is a bit too much for you. I shall motor you back to the country.
I haven't seen this since it got taken off RUclips back in the 2000's, so I had a bit of a nostalgia trip
Country Red Riding Hood is going to give Her Grandma some nourishment " Moonshine ".

@jorgegaston5391
I Find It Funnier that the City Wolf Has the HOTS 🔥 For a Homely Country Red Riding Hood.

You're a cool person, choosing those iconic cartoons is genuis.
And your reactions are so relaxing. 👍
Do Tex Avery henpecked hoboes next
I tell ya that country wolf was REALLY making me laugh!🤣 Also that little rural riding hood was pretty fine herself😍😁
He sounds like goofy
Same voice actor actually 😁
Man Country red has big feet.

Country Red is So Homely , City Red is a Cutie & a Hottie. Although Betty Boop is my All Time Favorite cartoon Lady.

Howdy Beautiful 2:08
Like if you like country red 🍒 more than city red 🍒
I Find City Red Cuter& Hotter than Jessica Rabbit.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Why the white lines? Difficult to watch!
Sorry about that, it’s Copyright issues, this was my earlier videos on how I had to blend it in order for it to play on RUclips , a year later I found out a better way without the lines 😊
I see. Can't you edit the older videos, now?
All right! Another Tex Avery reaction video!
Update: I loved your reaction when the city wolf fell for country red.
This takes me back to watching cartoons at my grandparent's place in Chicago. Thanks for the trip!
why is this Red Riding Hood barefooted? 3:28
She's a Poor Country Hillbilly .
😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
She's a Poor Country Girl .
MGM's Tex Avery cartoons are unbeatable. Ren & Stimpy borrowed much from Tex's style
John K. once spoke in an interview that he borrowed animation elements from Hanna-Barbera, Tex Avery, and Ralph Bakshi to assemble Ren & Stimpy.
I heard that Ren & Stimpy was inspired by Bob Clampett & Tex Avery. Though I'd argue that Tex Avery was the BIGGER inspiration.
@@brycefourn2001 I also see Tex in Courage, especially in his freakout moments.
A sophisticated city wolf was based on Ronald Colman.
I imagine they just kept going back and forth until the girls decide to stay in one place.
I always wondered what would happen if Goofy's testosterone levels was off the charts. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
i love your shirt UP THE IRONS
I really love classic cartoons like this
6:43 WHOA!!
So looking at how County wolf and Rural act at the beginning, I think this is just their kind of foreplay XD
If she said that to me I would be like OKAY my sweetheart like i really can't say no😍😍😍😍 3:53
I love Tex Avery and Iron Maiden! 🤘
That's Funny 🤣🤣.
Me too.
If Red Riding Hood said that to me I'll be like OKAY like I really can't say NO to that 3:52
I must admit she's real pretty and super sweet and cute too I really do love how she talks like that 2:10
I mean don't get me all wrong I really do love nice cute country one of a kind southern girl like that character in the red 7:20
3:16 reused footage from "screwy truant"(1945)
I like Goofy
The dancing singing girl was so beautifully (and provocatively) animated but i always wondered whether it was rotoscoped (a-la Ralph Bakshi).
She was the inspiration for Jessica rabbit from who framed Roger rabbit
