I do really wish they had a training center to use vehicles. I am horrible at choppers and always die too fast to learn anything consistently
If you haven't tried yet, you can load up a map with choppers in the solo/co-op mode with the bots set to Easy, and practice there. Only issue is the vehicle cooldown.
i agree with that, a much better way to practice anything.
given ai bots do move different to real people, real people are more predictable and easier to shoot at so ai bots are good practice.

Make a portal mode, it takes a little bit of setting tweaking but its not too hard

Conquest 128 actually looks really fun in 2042. First time i've gotten a genuine desire to play the game.
It’s really fun, especially if you’re new to the game! I think out of all the game modes, I’ve had the most “battlefield moments” in Conquest 128 😊 the player base is really great too, so LFGs are always really fun and casual. You should give it a go!

On bf3 I used to play rush where there was full team VoIP, it was the best times I had playing any bf. I think it was a custom server though not dice official. I would love to see it again.
They just need to remaster bf3 with 32 player rush
I think those used teamspeak at least the proxy chats worked that way

Something I noticed in the recent Christmas weekly modes was the hardcore variant of BF3 they had. I dunno what it is about the BF3 vehicles, but the audio ambience of the aircraft and the helicopters feels considerably more intense than it does in the main game. The attack planes absolutely shred ground vehicles, even if they do feel brickish to fly). The AA missiles being lightning quick, as are the AT weapon projectile speeds. It makes me wish they'd kinda implement that into the main game, as well as bringing some of the BF3 vehicles over as well to increase the types present. BF3 modes also seem to support more vehicles than those in 2042 base game as well. The sniping felt incredible in that mode, and even with the enhanced damage and chance of a one hit kill, it was considerably less frustrating than a base game match for some reason. While I get the purpose of killcam (and sometimes it can be useful when someone is suspect [albeit, one showing how many times you were hit and where would be better]), both it and sniper glare are things I wish were removed. The BFV beta did not have glare, I recall, and you could actively snipe and hide quite well. Something else I wish they'd go with.

@@TheGreenOne7676 This is just blatantly false - it's not sponsered content, Jack plays because he enjoys it, and that's evident in his commentary. BF2042 might not be as good as some of the previous titles, but bugs are pretty rare, and the fact that 2042 hasn't been over-run by cheaters like many of the previous BF titles is actually a significant achievement. I still enjoy the game a lot and play it most days.

I've been playing a ton of Battlefield 2042 since it was free on Playstation plus. I absolutely love it! Some of the modded servers are pretty cool too. If you are on the fence about getting this game just do it! It's a hell of a lot of fun.

yes there's a lot that a AAA title like this should have, definitely proximity chat, and ability to grab ammo or health (like in BF V) from characters, and much more.

I got this game for Christmas; it's been fun so far! I'm glad they turned it around as a long-term battlefield fan, I tuned out after the disastrous release thinking they would just drop support after the first year of content.
A Friend and I just started playing again for funnies. Haven't played since short after release, played the beta and pre-ordered, but wasn't really feeling it when it came out. Now we're playing it every day for hours because it's so fun XD

I got to disagree Jack, even the redone original maps are still flawed and pamper the hell out of snipers. Also gunplay in general is terribly balanced right now. You've got 70% of the player base running around with three or four of the same guns guns
I’ve been playing this game since launch with a group of friends and I always have a blast. That being said I never played battlefield before this one I was always on COD but this game has been fun for me

But I did get back into BF 2042 a few days ago as well and, I have to say, the game has improved drastically since launch. Kinda wish there was a bigger player base in NA - I’m often playing with 50% AI and 50% players. Cheers!

The next Battlefield absolutely needs proximity chat. It would be cool if it could have effects depending on the environment like Lethal Company. Maybe some of that Dead Space tech where you wouldn't hear voices through walls, it is owned by EA after all.

Not seeing the issue - I just think it's amusing that we get these "BF2042 is great now" videos like every other week, without that really being reflected in the player numbers (going by steam charts here as a proxy). I mean, it's great that he likes it, but then again, that seems kinda true for a lot of games - to a point where it feels a little "forced". I will say this tho - I do prefer people being generally positive about stuff than those youtubers that build their channel around complaining about everything.
I'm honestly surprised that the AC-42 didn't get nerfed more, it's the first gun I hit 100+ kills with in breakthrough, it's a monster at all ranges and has basically 0 recoil

I'd like to point out that Battlefield 2 Modern Combat on the Xbox 360 had proxy chat where you could hear the enemy as well as teammates.

If you use the Jets, the U.S. jet can hover by pressing the directional pad up. Similar to the Condor.

My game of the year is BattleBit. Easily got most of my gametime this year, and I expect to put a lot more hours into it next year too.
i'm currently S300, trying to master every gun and specialist. So far i have every specialist except for casper and Boris and all SMG, Assault, 3/4 of the LMGS.
It's just not though Jack is it? 😔 BF1 was the last real battlefield game I enjoyed. I was so excited to see what was next after BF1, hoping they would follow the same art style and gritty feeling. Boy was I wrong!

I really want to play Battlefield, but I am *so* bad at it, and idk why. I'm used to more frenetic, arcade shooters, and for whatever reason I just can't get my head around Battlefield. Which sucks because it's an excellent series. I'm sure I'll try whatever comes next and be bad at that, too 🤣

The same going on with me. I dont know why but I was a decent player about 5-10 years ago. Call of duty, Battlefield, Homefront, R6. But nowadays I just suck at them. I know I am older and slower and so fresh when I play but its just bothers me.

I was bad at Battlefield for 20 years. It is still my favorite game. I started 2042 day one and currently have 1.46 Kd as a PTFO player. I missed out on BFV until the recent player surge and got 1st place for the first time in 50000 games. So just start playing!
How can people not enjoy what this game is at the moment? It runs so smooth. God forbid its not a battle royale or a call of duty. I genuinely have more fun on this game now then any other shooter at the moment. Everything is sleek and smooth. No lag and while the game release was awful, they have done a lot of great work on the game. I think they deserve more positivity than what I keep reading.

Ive been loving 2042, but cannot get some of the aircraft controls down. I have tweaked the schemes to do helicopters well. But the osprey and jet i just die in.
Still proud to say i did the bf4 Easter egg legitimately. Took me months. My proudest gaming moment ever. Then they gave the bow way for opening a box 😢😢😢😢. I'm still salty.
Gun master BF3 is a fun nostalgic game mode but my god the spawns are so infuriating. Always getting shot in the back from the edge of the map by someone who just spawned
Been a lot more active on the game the last few months, it really is so fun. I genuinely hope they realize the mistakes of this game so the next is better. What it needs is more destruction, more maps, and proximity chat just makes so much sense for a game like this

feels good to have no variety of scopes for the sniper class, or maps without cover or less than 9 snipers while most classes at minimum have 13, I especially love how you can LITERALLY SNIPE ACROSS THE MAP WITH ANY RIFLE, SMG OR LMG Meanwhile sniper rifles are underpowered, short ranged and the idiot soldier somehow went full rtarded and decided to look away every time he fires or immediately bolt in a new bullet and not see were the bullet lands so he cant compensate or adjust...what I love the most is how anyone can spot a sniper across the map and snipe them with non-sniper rifles/weapons. it makes you ask yourself why is the sniper class there if it is literally outclassed by all
