I'm a frame drum player. The bass to which you refer is from the drum that looks like a large tambourine. It's called a Mazhar. These drums all have a rather deep bass resonance in them. They have incredible power. This is what you're hearing.

i think that bass is not percussion, is something else, but i can´t see which one play that continuous bass.
