Why don’t generac have a hole home breaker box like the new “span 2nd generation” to take place of your main box that way you can turn off what you want on a power outage so if you are washing and drying clothes you can turn off the AC and turn off rooms that you will not be using to make the batteries last longer.

I have a question, why should you put wifi in the transfer switch? If you loose power you would have wifi ? I lost ?

For anybody wondering, you can find in the transfer switch manual how to connect the PWR module to WiFi.

I know it is quite off topic but does anybody know of a good place to stream new tv shows online?

Nice video! I am a bit confused -- I have looked at several videos showing 400Amp Generac ATS installs... The confusion is this -- Most of what I see is that there are installs that SHOW 4 "Hots" coming into the ATS and taken up to the TOP of the Transfer Switch -- My confusion is WHY would there be 4 Hots coming from a Meter and not just 2 Hots if the Meter is supplied with 400/320 Continuous from the Transformer through the meter? In this video -- It looks like the ATS on the right ONLY has TWO HOTS at the top of the Switch? Can you explain this for me?

The bottom solenoid went bad after lighting strike. Now the power won’t automatically transfer to the generator. Just got the solenoid in the mail and does anyone know how to remove the control box on the left with the lights?

Good video but I have an obvious question, why don't you put in knockouts instead of requiring a drill on the panel?!

so you can install the ATS on multiple configurations and so the ats can maintain a NEMA 3 rating

    Hi, I have a 400 amp service (2x 200) with 2 Panels. Should I use 2x 200amp ATS or 1x 400amp? Thanks

I have 2 panels also. looking at the manual you only need one W2HEM and two additional UCT2 (Clamps)

My Generac 16kw is not sending the “T23” signal (12vdc gnd) to the transfer switch. Anybody know how to troubleshoot this. My ‘certified’ repair man replaced the control wires and it is still not switching to the standby power automatically.

If he verified that the controller is not grounding 23 and all wiring is good he should replace the controller.

So the generator won't be had until January 2022. I have the 200amp transfer switch. Can I install this now and then just add the Generator conductors later? Will my main load center work without the generator installed(voltage sense wire)?

How much would a setup like that cost?

I spent about $11k for a 24kw generator & PWR View Module, with 1 load shed. This includes all parts and labor.

@Peacock Ranch is the 400A CU ATS the best choice for solar and quick hardware 50A to PTO/trailer/or pad 400A generator backup? and im leaning to the enphase IQ-8+ system 12kw-22kw but not the battery's as im not content with the charging/inverters at under 3KW out for back up but being a 10kw sized battery and like the LIF-chemistry which is about the minimum balance/right size/costs for me in 2022, and looking at the F150 BEV and like that it's not LIF and LMC i think as it's a better pick for cars and lif is better for homes
looked at enphase's en-charge ats and it's just two small to pass my inspections and same things with it's competitors like sonnen as the max service entrance is under 200A 240V

@Peacock Ranch Hello sir. I don't know if you even will see this, but we had installed the Generic ATS Switch which we had a 50 amp plug so we can plug the Portable Generator into a 13000hp...I have watched a ton of videos and nobody ever explains..when the Power is off the Grid, what mechanism powers and turns the big magnet inside changing the power from Grid to Generator? So my question is..do we need to add some type of DC power supply if so which may I ask? Lastly, I do not have the Wi-fi unit for the ATS do we need it and if so where can we get it as well...Thank You in advance for your assistance on the above questions.
