I have a big boot print. I can drive 2-3 hours to a job site. Repair something at construction site for an hour. Meet with the customer in their office for an hour. Drive 2-3 hours home.
For that type of day, I need a boot that I can drive in for hours. I need a boot for a construction site. I need a clean boot for a business to business casual environment. And, I always carry a spare pair of boots for the construction work.
It gets better. I have spares for all the use scenarios that I listed above. If I need to send a boot to a cobbler, then I need to have an immediate replacement on hand.
It is no different than having a boot damaged beyond repair. I keep 2-3 spares for each scenario. I have work boots for cold weather, hot weather, and wet weather for when it is hot or cold.
It takes time to replace a quality boot. I have to have spares or hand to carry me over until a new replacement arrives. And that is why I have a large boot foot print.

Nice to see a 20 something with a logical and wonderful outlook. Hopefully his attitude will rub off on others of his generation. I think on this YT channel, however, he's preaching to the choir. 🙂
