  • This is the 550 Paracord Call lanyard That I did in a previous video for my Deer Paracord Lanyards. It is completely redone and I focused heavily of video quality and a step by step explanation which is why the video is almost as long as it takes me to make one. The videos explaining how to make these into great duck or goose call lanyards or also a predator call lanyard are included all into one video. Thanks for watching, Like it, Subscribe and let me know what you think below. #waterfowl #BuckPole

    Thanks for the video. I watched it through a few times and then just completed my first lanyard in a few hours. Only thing I messed up was the spiral braid a few times Initially and had to redo it. Definitely true what you said about not being able to set it down and come back, also trying to get the spiral section too tight makes it harder than necessary. Thanks again!

    You had a friend show up at 36:17 on the left hand side of the screen lol. Almost finished my first call lanyard, about to do the neck band and then the last drops. Accidentally burned one of the primary drop ropes but only the outer sheath so it still works fine just doesn't slide as easy as it should. I'm putting my cheap mallard call on there, my acrylic is going higher.

  • @thomascondon9447
    @thomascondon9447 6 лет назад +4

    I really like this design, it doesn't try and get too fancy, and I really like the simple extra drops. One thing I'll say is 30" seems a bit short for me, so I went to 36", and I started with 12' of cord. Next time I'd start with 14' as 12' was just barely enough. I also am undecided on the cobra weave for the neck. Just the braid seems just fine to me. For the braid, the straight braid was very difficult for me. I tried for quite some time, but could only get a few inches before I made a mistake. I then found it impossible to pick up again. I tried the spiral, and I quickly did the whole thing in one shot. It's much easier to me.

    Yeah it makes sense to munter your drops onto the lanyard, I see a lot where they feed them through, but a munter won't go anywhere unless you are trying to remove it, chances of it coming undone and your call going through it and then dropping is pretty slim. I like that you can take them off if you don't need them all too. Thank you for doing this video. I found doing a prussic instead of a munter causes the drops to slide less easily so I did that.

    Yeah, the camera work wasn't the best but the instructions ware great. I made this using an orange paracord that has reflectors built in for one of the colors and it turned out great. It was really easy to do and didn't take me long at all. Fifty feet of paracord just for the neck cushion though? I skipped it and it's comfortable enough.

    • @BuckPole
      @BuckPole  3 года назад +1

      How tight is your round braid? It should be tight enough to look reasonably tight but loose enough to slide the knitting needles though without to much trouble. Also before you do the cobra braid try stretching it and letting it rest a couple times. Sometimes it as si.ple as one braid not being in the correct order as well. Hope this helps.

      I'd be careful doing that. I try to use softer cord to start. I'm not sure if even the best cords would dry fast enough or if it would make it less stiff. I normally just flex and bend it. I also wrap it around a bat and slide it back and forth.
