It's always fun to watch you cook a fight that's almost muscle memory to me now. Your thought process, the (mostly) wild guesses that end up burning the food due to over cooking, and the Eureka moments - keep at it psy, the light at the end of the tunnel is almost here

Curious on what your stance is on using a sim to practice certain mechanics if you havent talked about it before.
xivsim doesnt follow any strat, it just executes the attacks as they would in game so if you have a homebrewed solution it should be possible to test it there.
Is this something youve considered or do you want to stick to ingame prog? Understandble if you prefer the latter but it might help with DT drawing closer.

I still don't have any ultimate clears (I lack a Party for that), but I do all the other content in the game, and I honestly liked that kind of strategy (your Ifrit's Charges strat)
For example, in those cases where enemies spin clockwise and make several cone shape AoEs, while most other players just rotate around the enemy, I just wait the animation of the first AoE then I enter (anti-clockwise) that AoE...
More dangerous? Yes.
But when I know the timing is more fun, and allows me to focus more on my rotation too.
I was watching all the videos until you started arriving "more constantly" at Ultima Weapon...
(I had some trips these days and now it's my birthday week, it's difficult to have time in these conditions) and men I love these recap videos, can I give you a tip? I think that any Raid (Ultimate/Savage and others) that takes more than 1 week to get clear you should do Re-caps in this style. It's always very interesting to watch...

@@memecrusader5824 I heavily disagree with this, and I really don't know why this community is so obsessed with downplaying fights. Psy has done "most savages" and "most savages" did not take him upwards of 500 pulls almost, most savages also do not require the precision UwU does and it is still longer than all savages in the game including shiva.
Stop this downplaying shit, it's still an ultimate.

I've just finished E8S and I'm currently on UWU. UWU is not harder mechanically but the precision required is higher. Gaols being a key example. Easy to understand but the execution has to be pinpoint. The fight is long, has a gimmick that results in an inflated pull count and requires a higher level of consistency than any other fight I've done.
I haven't done anything beyond E8S but the idea that UWU is easier than most savages isn't true
