- This little video clip shows the last few minutes that the Disney Movie Club was open. It officially closed at midnight central time on May 20, 2024. Just prior, you could still add items to your cart and place an order. Many items that were previously out of stock appeared to be in stock, but they would say out of stock once you viewed your cart. Anything that truly was still in stock could still be purchased. Right when the clock struck midnight, any items in your cart would say out of stock and you would not be able to place an order. RIP Disney Movie Club!

I’m really sad the club is over. My mom used to get my sister and I vhs tapes from it. Now I’ll have to resort exclusively to eBay to get my Disney Blu-Rays. 😢

It is sad does that mean Disney will no longer do anymore physical media releases
J’s Blu-rays, what kind of shelves do you use to store your collection? I too always liked to collect physical media. Please let me know soon. Thank you.

If anyone didn't get those DMC exclusive blu-rays, they're now at the mercy of the scalpers. Unfortunately, they show no mercy. Makes me appreciate the 25 (give or take) exclusives that I have. Sony might release them again via retail, but there's no guarantee. I paid an average of $22 per exclusive (factory sealed), so I scored pretty good on my eBay finds back in Feb. & March. Now I'm just keeping up with new releases for titles new to DVD/Blu-ray/ and certain movies I'd like to upgrade to 4K. I'm still holding out hope for Darkwing Duck and Goof Troop to each get finished on DVD or, better yet, complete series Blu-rays as well as Aladdin the series, Recess, and Gummi Bears to get either or as well. Until then, of what has been made available to date, I have every movie & series I've wanted on my shelf except for one elusive movie on Blu-ray (Zathura), but at least I have it on DVD. Maybe it'll get a 4K release? 🤷🏻♂️
