- As requested by at least one person in another video, here is a look at my homemade VHS tapes of older Toon Disney Channel cartoons that I recently converted into my own homemade Blu-Ray discs, complete with artwork and inserts. I also used a device called the Elgato Game Capture to make digital copies of all episodes from the VHS tapes for use on my computer and TV. I also show my Ed Edd N Eddy and Smoky Mountain homemade Blu-Rays as well. Thank you all for watching and I hope you enjoy :)

Ironic since buzz lightyear of Star command never made it to dvd or blu ray completely
What’s even more ironic is that disney is not releasing any more Simpsons DVDs at the moment

Thank you for the weekend project I found a box full of tv shows that were tapped off of tv in the 90s and i decided to put them all onto dvd but I kept the commercials because I like commercials.
Looking back on this, I wish I would have kept the commercials too haha

If you want to watch these old shows again, don't bother trying to buy these. Disney Plus will have just about all of them available for streaming at launch.
308 minutes per disc is what 46gb blu-ray's can do for digitizing vhs tapes uncompressed but you did a great job my dude and especially the first disc of the homemade disney tv show blu-ray with 8 hours and 48 minutes, bravo man

Dude this is awesome as hell. Love the tapes man and it looks cool and creative and no one would knock you for the tapes looking like that because you were a kid you manage to save some cartoons that aren't even on DVD thanks to you doing that you manage to preserve a little bit of history and judging by the comments all of us like what you did. We appreciate what you did and that a lot people cared about what you did so keep up the good work oh last thing PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your sets are better than anything Disney could ever put out.
I have been doing something similar to this, where i use a capture card to capture a bunch of personally recorded VHS tapes to my computer. Most of it is stuff along the lines of cartoons and the like that myself or my folks taped off TV back in the day. The main difference is that i just copy them to my computer for viewing and not burning to DVD/Blu-ray like you did.
I use an Elgato Video device for my VHS capturing, it is quite simple and works great. However that process you used was pretty cool as well along with those homemade Disney cartoon tapes and BD discs.

I have no idea how old someone from '6th grade' would be but you was organised and put care and effort into your old collection so no reason not to be proud of the work you did.

I'm planning to do the same, but mainly with movies and documentaries that hasn't been released on DVD.
I really wish you recorded the commercials, though, because there are some really rare Toon Disney bumpers that haven't surfaced online, so uploading them on a separate channel would have been a really neat idea.

@@JsBluRays but that's okay dude because the good thing is you're the luckiest person to have Toon Disney (2002-04) recordings of the following shows such as The Weekenders, Lloyd in Space, Fillmore!, The Legend of Tarzan, etc. I've been asking other users if they have them but they said no which is bummer
@@JsBluRays im going to start ordering me some cartoons characters stickers from ebay and put them on my blank vhs tape so i know what im watching on the tape for the summertime it will take a lot of work to do them

You do such an outstanding job with these. I love the creativity you've poured into this. You sir gave me inspiration for me to go and do this. I'd love to make custom BD-Rs for Cartoon Network shows and wrestling PPVs (mainly from the Attitude Era WWF and a few from WCW).

That is really neat and awesome idea about the thingymgig for your VCR to your computer. I used to have lots of VHS recordings of Cartoon Network from the 2000's and on but when we moved I threw most of them away and not cause I wanted to my mom said there's not need in having those I really wished I hadn't. I had so much stuff recorded even other stuff. Make me mad just thinking it. But still glad I do have alot of old Power Rangers shows that I wouldn't ever have gotten thrown away. Didn't mean to ramble on but keep up the good work. Love your videos. Peace out!

I discovered your channel, because I was looking for Mickey's Merry and Scary, and the next thing I knew, I was watching your great videos. I am a dancer, so I have some old VHS and DVD videos that I bought, because there are no other versions, and they do die/become damaged with age. The videos I watch are often not released in a big commercial way, and they have really valuable information on them. I could write a super long essay on this right now! At least I know I have a way to save VHS information that I thought might be lost forever. Seriously, some VHS scares me, because it is not just the tape that dies, but it will kill my cool old school t.v. that has a built in VHS player that I can also connect to a DVD player and a Blu-Ray player with a cable from the dollar store. It is super portable, which is great for dancers or any educators, even if it is an old t.v. I carried it on foot once across town. It speaks many languages too (my t.v. with built in vhs player), so, thank you and hello :)
Early 2000's Toon Disney was the shit back when I was 6 to 8 years old! Thanks for the nostalgia trip man! Disney's House of Mouse, Timon & Pumbaa, Buzz Light Year Star of Command, and a few others were my favorites!

There is a number of missing media, both Disney and Non-Disney. There's a wiki called the Lost Media Wiki, and people like us are contributing to it, working hard to uncover and recover the lost or missing media.

Seasons 3, 4, and 5 of Ed, Edd, n Eddy were released on DVD in Thailand.
Man that's impressive....wish I'd thought of that too when I was younger. I miss that channel so much right now, and it's a darn shame that what disney has released is missing episodes because of lack of interest(which if I'd heard of it I'd tried to get a hold of them). Don't understand how they expected any interest without advertisement...maybe one day they'll get off their high horse and publish the rest to itunes/amazon/google stores somehow...
+Joshua Miller Yes. I very much hate that they start releasing volumes of the old shows but never finish them off. At the very least, they should be available for digital purchase.
see and digital purchase is what I want just so i can make my own toon disney playlist(of course with a few bumpers thrown in when episodes end...). Especially since streaming it on youtube or ripping the dvd's is still a legal gray area if not illegal in some cases which sucks

Man this makes me wish I kept my old copies of VHS TV recordings. Only one I ever saved from Toon Disney is the N Sync Concert. I still have the commercials in tact. Any chance you could make more copies of these? I'd buy them.
Hopefully these Disney shows can come to DVD after the recent success of Star Wars 7.
A show I would recommend to add to your collection is Sonic Satam which you can get as a complete series set on amazon (this is a not burn on demand dvd) another series you should check out is adventures of sonic the hedgehog which aired also in toon disney. Its a fun and a enjoyable show to watch.

Which Bluray burner program did you use? I'm looking to burn my old VHS tapes to DVD/Bluray but haven't found a decent program yet.

+Waltman13 Yes they do have menus. I got the cases online...Can't remember exactly which site though since it was a few years ago now.

When you did your Best of Toon Disney Channel Blu-rays you did the same colors as the Disney/Pixar Pixar Short Films Collection Blu-rays. Your Discs 1-5 of Best of Toon Disney Channel had a red cover just like Pixar Short Films Collection Volume 1. Your Discs 6-10 of Best of Toon Disney Channel had a green cover just like Pixar Short Films Collection Volume 2. And Your Discs 11-15 of Best of Toon Disney Channel had a blue cover just like Pixar Short Films Collection Volume 3. Although Pixar Short Films Collection Volume 3 wasn't released until 2018.
They do have Ed Edd n eddy season 3, 4, and 5 on DVD, but they're in thailand

Great video man! Sadly season 1 DVD (Region 1) of Ed, Edd N Eddy is out of print now. I'm not sure about season 2 though, that's probably out of print too. Also, almost all of the Hanna-Barbera Classic Collection pressed DVDs (those awesome DVDs released mostly in the last decade) of different shows are out of print as well.
I know, it really is a shame. I'm glad to still have my first and second seasons of Ed Edd N Eddy. I think season 2 may be still in print, but for sure season one is not. I guess that means we likely won't be getting any more, at least not any time soon.
Don't be too sure, because I think that means they've reissued just season one of Ed Edd n Eddy, Powerpuff girls, and Foster's home of imaginary friends just about a few weeks ago.

I used photoshop. Found a template online and just pasted it in there for the most part and took some images from google
